There are a million great things to do in New Orleans, but if you've got time for one more - check out the Cookin Cajun Cooking School. For only $20, and about 3 hours - I learned how to make the most amazing praline muffins (very easy), jambalaya and pecan tarts. And they give you an extremely generous portion of each, including as much jambalaya as you want. But the best part is the story telling that goes along while you watch the cooking. And the fact that you get all the recipes when you arrive, so you're not scribbling down the ingredients as you go. Definitely a gem.
