River City Antique Mall

I just spent the early afternoon at this mall and I was so pleased with everything. The ladies of the mall were busy helping all of us finding what we needed, making us some "deals" and keeping the place buzzing with lively conversation and wonderful music. It is definetly a hit with the locals as so many in there were called by name and the family members were asked about and health was discussed, really caring conversations. I asked to see in several showcases and each time they were opened and extreme patience was shown until I made up my mind. The selections in this mall are so varied, it has something for everyone. I'm glad I found just what I needed and a few things I probably didn't need. I have shopped for antiques for 30 years and this one rates number one. (and the dogs, never knew they were there, so the grumpy haters should be ignored. thanks for the fun and i'll be back.

I came on here to look for Antique Shops in
Shreveport and came across this site.
I like clicking on pictures and seeing what
each shop might have.
The picture for River City Antique Mall is
of a dog! I would love to see pictures of the
shop. That picture does not do them any good.
Besides, most people would not want to go to
a shop where a dog is barking at them. (I read
another previous customers comment.)
Please post some pictures!!!

I just left this antique mall and the dog was the security officer behind the counter. The dog did not bark at me as I was not bothering the dog! There is a sign posted behind the counter and on the gate to the counter that reads BEWARE ZOEY SECURITY DO NOT GET TOO CLOSE! It seems pretty clear to me that you are safe at this mall with this dog on duty! My experience at this mall was awesome. I picked up a very valuable treasure for less than I could buy it anywhere! My family and I moved to local area recently. I've been to many Antique malls in other states and have been to other local antique malls.
I saw these last reviews and went to this River City Antique Mall.
I was so excited to go there. But , I left there unhappy. There were plenty space for parking , they have lots of boothsand had many goodies as last 2 reviews say.
The price was OVER PRICED compare to other local antique malls.

I was so disapointed and shocked by the lady(Gray hair) who works there. She was so RUDE.
I was looking at a glasswear that was one aisle behind the check out counter.
I had my daughers with me.
Suddenly , a dog that was in the counter started to bark at us.
There was a sign on the counter door saying like "Don't come close. Security dog inside!" I was fine with dog barking at us. She was just doing her job. What made me angry was the lady who yelled at me and my kids. I was just looking at their stuff one aisle behind the counter. She started to come at us and "Do not get near!!! Do Not! Get away!!! She is protecting money here!"
Sounded like she was saying we are trying to get in the counter and steal something. This made me so uncomfortable.

Other local Antique mall staff says "Hi" when I enter and very friendly. I've never seen an hysterical store clerk like her.
Anyone who is planing to go to River city Antique Mall, be aware for the dog and gray haired lady. You'll get barked at and yelled at.
I recomend you to bring a doggie treat.
I will NEVER go there again.

My family and I were in Shreveport for the week and we had the opportunity to go shopping at the River City Antique Mall. This is a large mall with a huge selection of everything from fine quality antique furniture to flea market bargains. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even helped me load my furniture pieces. I found many great items in every price range and very reasonable. We highly recommend this shop and will make a point to shop here again when we are in Shreveport.

This place has many antique vendors under one roof, so there is a huge selection of stuff. I have found many great bargains there, including antique cookbooks. Great central location. Great bargains.
