I wanted to like it- I really did. And I'm rarely disappointed in one of my favorite cities.

Two Sisters has nice ambiance but I didn't think the food was that great.

There are so many other, better choices.

this is an absolutely beautiful locale to dine though the food was just mediocre to me. There weren't very many veggies (non-greens) to choose from either.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I love everything about it, the name, the area, the outside patio, the food and the incredible dessert. You cannot go wrong

BANANAS FOSTER! Only the most amazing dessert ever...

The spicy rolls were also delicious...cannot wait to return for a full dinner there. The outdoor patio at night, with all the twinkle lights is magical. Living, breathing history.

Court of the Two Sisters had decent food, but very pricey. What impressed me overall, however, was the fantastic outside court area where you can sit. It was lovely and relaxing. The service was excellent. This is definitely an upscale place! I would go here again and perhaps try another dish.

This is a beautiful place to have a meal. The courtyard is romantic and peaceful. The food is wonderful. There is a buffet brunch that is enormous, and sometimes there is live music.

For our money, the best experience, service and food quality in NOLA. Ask for Teddy J. as your server. Atmosphere is very nice, but not stuffy and the food is great.

I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend for Valentine's day. I had been there before shortly after Katrina and it was practically deserted. This time they turned people away who didn't had reservations (even though there were empty tables around us the entire meal. I would say our experience was average, although for the price and reputation I would expect outstanding. I asked for a Reisling wine, and was given one, without benefit of a wine list or choice. the Paper menu was torn, something I'd expect from a basic dinner, not the COURT OF TWO SISTERS. Our waiter was young and struggled opening the wine. The appetizers were good, but I thought it was obvious my date and I were going to share them, he failed to offer any additional plates. Overall disappointing for Valentines day at that price.

This place is a must for anyone traveling to New Orleans. Just came back & had brunch there. Not only did I have a great brunch here - I can't believe that I ate turtle soup!!! Every item was amazing!!! Have the bread pudding and you will be convinced that you died & went to heaven.

My husband and I recently were in New Orleans and he insisted we ""find this restaurant with a lovely courtyard"" for lunch. He had dined there once before years ago with a group of people and could not remember the name. We walked around and finally he found it and I am so glad we did!!!! This is a lovely place to have a slow lunch. The courtyard was beautiful and the lunch buffet was yummy! I normally am not a ""buffet"" person, but was impressed with the quality and variety the restaurant had to offer. Great mimosa to go along with lunch too! It was expensive, I was a little surprised when we received our check, but my husband and I enjoyed it so what the heck.

I am a local who frequently brought my out-of-town friends and relatives to Two Sisters. The last time I made reservations for a party of ten, I specified that I needed indoor dining (I was on medication at the time that made me prone to sunburn.)\r\n\r\nMy husband and I arrived separately from the rest of our party. We were seated in the courtyard and our waiter served us drinks. Our other friends never showed up. I asked the waiter to move us to another table, preferably indoors. He suggested we wait a little longer. I am assuming he didn't want to lose the large ticket and gratuity related to a larger party. \r\n\r\nFinally, my husband and I decided something had delayed our friends and decided to leave. When we went through the restaurant we found our friends....seated at another table and nearly finished with their meal! When I complained to the management I was neither offered an apology or compensation of any kind. The manager went so far as to say the mix up was MY fault since I didn't own a cel phone and couldn't call my friends to find out where they were. After an angry exchange he grudgingly comped the champagne my friends had ordered. \r\n\r\nI have not dined there since nor do I have any intention of doing so.

Pros: Beautiful and interesting old building and courtyard, delectable spread at the buffet table

Cons: Service was unacceptable

The daily jazz brunch buffet is worth it's weight in Gold. It offers more than 80 items, including traditional breakfast foods, cold salads, soup, fruit, boiled seafood, dessert and more. We went on NBA All-Star weekend and the place was crowded.I love the Sweet Potato Salad .On the weekends, a special station makes eggs Benedict and omelets to order. I had the seaford omelet and it was excellent and the bread pudding was the bomb. Brunch wouldn't be the same without Two Sisters' signature mimosas. 2 of those and forget it. I love this place and will be back.

i truly enjoy this courtyard with a nice jazz band playing as you brunch. it is a bit pricey if you don't eat all that much but it is, after all, a buffet and one could, in theory, get ones money's worth. that being said, here are my faves from the buffet: the bacon was spiced, which i enjoyed. i also enjoyed the andouille sausage, the creamed spinach and the eggplant. i did not enjoy the mushrooms, which was a bit too vinegary. i thought the biscuit and the cornbread were ok. i also though the crawfish and shrimp (steamed, i think) were just ok. the bananas foster was excellent, especially when paired with the homemade vanilla ice cream and topped with the praline sauce. that dessert was just divine! (of course, you can eat them separately but you have the option to mix and match.) the oreo cake was just ok although my friend thought it was pretty good. the fudge-like brownie was also good although a bit too sweet for brunch. there were more goodies to try but unfortunately, i could only eat so much.... although i did enjoy my brunch very much (and i must say that our server was great -- he was prompt with the mimosas and to clear our dirty plates and was very good with recommending and explaining the food), i would probably try new restaurants on my next visit to new orleans.

I always envisioned poached eggs as nasty, but much to my surprise, the creole eggs benedict was to die for. The mimosas were good and the service was great. It is well worth the cost, but I do recommend making reservations early because for the Jazz brunch they go fast! We really enjoyed the food and the jazz. There was so much to choose from that we were just sick when we left...sick in a good way--from having stuffed ourselves.

We recently visited this ""up-scale"" restaurant and were extremely disappointed. It all started with the ""garlic"" bread they brought out which was potent enough to drive away any ""vampire"" you might encounter in the city. I'm not sure any one could actually eat more than a morsel. Our waiter did not explain the menu (you can do a pre-fix) or make any recommendations. After tasting the wine I selected and giving my approval, the waiter simply put it down on our table without pouring (we were 20 mintues into our dining experience). At this point, we get the maitre'd involved, only to have him be ""offended"" by bringing the lousy service to his attention. Overall, it's all hype.

LOVED Court of Two Sisters. It was my wedding day and I wanted a nice brunch for my family and bridesmaids... there were 17 of us. They set a wonderful table outside for all 17 of us.... the service was excellent the food was delicious and the jazz band just added icing on the cake.\n\nThe mimosas were reasonably priced as well. I can't imagine a better brunch and for $30 a person we were pampered and spoiled. The variety of food was amazing... try the seafood omlette which is topped with hollandaise sauce and don't miss the bananas foster...\n\n

Jazz??? Where? They were playing a taped classical music. Everything was very, very average. Yes, they have a huge menu, but was it all that good? No. It was raining, so could not seat outside. The room is big (not romantic at all) and looked like a cheap diner: starting from the silverware, plates to the room itself.. For the money we paid there (more than a $100 without the dessert) it was very, very average and not worth it. From the service to food.

Before dinner, we found the bartender friendly and attentive. Once seated in the courtyard, we were charmed by the wait staff. Both assigned to our table were warm and pleasant without being too familiar. Prompt service without being rushed. Our meal was marvelous. Perhaps not haute cuisine, but delicious and enhanced by the wonderful time we were having. \n\nWhile in New Orleans, we got a sense that many working in the service industry did so begrudgingly. At the Court of Two Sisters, we were welcomed by exceptional, gracious people and a quality meal. It was a beautiful evening. \n\nA previous reviewer intimated this location may dupe unsuspecting tourists. We may have been visiting New Orleans but we are quite well traveled and far from being easily dazzled. This stop is a ""must"" on our list for our friends and family as well as the next time we visit the city. \n\n

There is very little at the Court of Two Sisters that resembles fine dining. We did not have the privilege of sitting in the courtyard, and instead were ferried to a dining room that resembled a VFW banquet hall. The silverware and napkins are probably 15 years old, and the dishware is from the ""Greek Diner"" collection. The Caesar salad, prepared tableside, was more of a distraction than a novelty...both for us and the neighboring table. The icing on the cake was terrible, lukewarm coffee. The moral of the story: There are plenty of great restaurants in New Orleans. Court of Two Sisters is not one of them.

Absolutely beautiful ambiance in this outdoor courtyard. We went for dinner on a Saturday night. Right in the center of noisy Bourban Street, this delightful room is a genuine oasis from the crowds and noise. While we were delighted with the service and ambiance, we found the food to be pricey and average. We had the shrimp creole (way too vinagary) and the so-so Lobster etouffe. The gumbo soup was also average. However, the bread pudding was a delight and quite possibly the best I've ever had. Somewhat strange seating arrangement where you are escorted through the restaurant to another person who will seat you. The restaurant was half empty and we didn't understand the odd way that we were brought into the restaurant.

I don't see how anyone could not like this place for brunch. These is so much to choose from, and it is all SO good! Shrimp and crabmeat omelettes, eggs benedict, and and endless bar full of exquisite and unusual dishes. Definitely worth the price. I thought I was literally going to burst when I left, that's how good it is. The best breakfast I've ever had.

I think this place is a must for brunch whenever you go to New Orleans. For $80 a couple, you can stuff yourself and try all sorts of delicious items. It is a buffet but it sure does not taste like one. I recommend going on Sunday for Jazz Brunch to enjoy the music. You will roll yourself out. Brunch includes music, half a bottle of mimosas, brunch and dessert. Ambiance is very nice and it is very laid back.

Unfortunately, the decor and even the fantastic musical trio did not win-out over the lack of service. The food lines were long and the buffet staff is pushy in their attempt to replenish the food. We had to ask twice for coffee refills and the check took 10 minutes to get to us. For the amount this Buffet costs, I expected much, much more.

Gosh, do these two sisters even come from the same family? Is it possible that only one schizophrenic sister exists with her good days and bad days?\n\nThe evil sister must have been running the show, the day my partner and I walked in and identified ourselves as innkeepers at a local bed & breakfast. Despite the courtyard being half-empty, we were asked if we had reservations. Answering no, we were handed a colored doubloon which apparently signaled the hostess to punish us with the worst possible table at the back of the courtyard where the faintest breeze would never find us. We asked to be reassigned, and begrudgingly, she moved us.\n\nYes, the ambiance is lovely. But the food was mediocre at best. To top it off, the entire buffet area smelled like it been just been hosed down with ammonia.\n\nRecommended to our guests? Absolutely not.

A must try. Jazz brunch is excellent here. Although it is a little pricey, it is worth the green. Jazz quartet is an added bonus to the immense variety of dishes served. Anything from breakfast to desert, salad, seafood; its all here. Courtyard provides an excellent atmosphere when the weather is permittable. A little difficult to get to, but after the meal, the Quarter is at your fingertips.

beuatiful courtyard makes this place a winner, although weather might make it uncomfortable. Enjoyed the Two Sisters Three seafood salad trio, but found the oyesters 2-2-2 a little heavy. I was with a group of 10 and all the food seemed very good, but very heavy on cream, cheese, and other fats.

We were looking forward to experiencing the Court of Two Sisters, all the tourist books and a friend that goes to New Orleans annually recommended it. They were wrong. The food was very bland and the service was poor. It was very costly. but had the food and service been better it wouldn't have mattered so much. I requested a Ceaser salad, but the waiter said ""not tonight, that the lettuce was wilted"". Later in our meal, I noticed that 2 other tables wer receiving Ceaser salad. The waiter had to make it at the table. Our waiter just didn't want to take the time.

Cons: Expensive, Bland food, Poor service

.

Court of Two Sisters is what the good life is all about. The brunch buffet is fantastic, as well as the atmosphere, deep within the french quarter. It feels as if time has stood still there, making for a wonderful experience.

Pros: Beautiful, Elegant, Delicious

Cons: Moderately Expensive

The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. However, sitting on the patio in the humidity was less than relaxing. We needed a few more fans to cool the area. It was also a little too noisy for my taste.

When visiting New Orleans, we saved the court of two sisters until our last day. I am glad we did, the service was friendly and the food was beyond any words that could describe them. A buffet that would make any seafood lover cry, and a picky eater engorge themself. This is a place not to be missed.

POISSE ORLENAISEE...A LIGTHLY BATTER FISH TOPPED WITH HOLIDAISE AND SEAFOOD WAS THE BEST. NICE CASUALE PLACE AND TREATED BETTER THAN WHEN WE WENT TO COMMANDER OR EMERILS.

If you can get beyond the urine smell comig from Bourbon Street, you'll have probably the most enjoyable brunch ever. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times and I still haven't had a better Eggs Benedict. They serve the best quality bacon on Earth. You typically don't hear someone brag about bacon......but trust me, it's outstanding. Everything about this place is neat, from the Jazz band playing in the courtyard, to the Mimosas, to the staff. I'll be back!!

We had breakfast twice at Court of Two Sisters on our 5 day stay in New Orleans. We had fabulous food and service(Ask for Cheryl). Although the brunch is a little pricey, it's worth it for the amount and quality of food.

This was my second visit to the restaurant, the first time was for a large dinner and the food was pretty good and the service OK.\n\nThe last time I took a group for lunch they tried to put us in front of the entertainment and when I asked to be moved I received major attitude. The items on the buffet were plentiful, but nothing special. My out-of-town guests felt as though they were in a tourist trap.

We went here for a 'special' brunch because we had read all the rave reviews from the travel guides. What we got is a cramped table inside a sterile buffet room and food that was completely ordinary. I'd pass on this over hyped establishment.

Made reservations for main dining room, wisked off to the buffet. decided not to make a fuss, my bad! I dont believe anyone could have placed another table or chair in to the buffet dining area and the traffic for the buffet was also the well traveled area for waiters and chefs. Very poorly layed out for customer satisfaction. will not have to worry about sending people to Cof2 sisters, have remove from available choices in student/visitor ""things to do book while in NOLA!"" If you want to deal with it...the food was worth it...but everything else lacked...who was the drunk on the horn? can anyone say put your hat on straight? why was he wearing a hat? they must have picked these guys off the street outside!

The service was excellent, but the food was just ok. The corn bread was pretty bad. Better brunches are available for the same amount of money somewhere else. I wouldn't go back.

I was 5 years old when I had my first experience at The Court of Two Sisters and it has not changed. I remember feeling so ""in place"" there. The food is wonderful and the ambiance palatable. A word of advice......take an ""island attitude"" when you go and take your time to eat slowly tasting as many of the different flavors as you can. Plan to spend more than an hour. You won't regret it.

This restaurant has it all! Location, ambience, and of course, the food!! Court of Two Sisters, located in the Heart of New Orleans' French Quarter, is THE place to be for down-home entertainment, relaxing atmosphere, and great food! Enjoy a helping of cool jazz along with a cool drink from the bar. Then indulge your taste buds with the succulent tastes of seafood prepared New Orleans Style! And the Gumbo is an absolute MUST!! Finish it off with a decadently delicious dessert-if you can just decide!! Dine indoors or out-(the Courtyard is cozy and nice!) Either way, for sure, you'll be back!
