Bennett's Camera

Very nice, customer service is fine. I was pleased to learn about my new camera from them. Their prices were as good as everyone else and I had someone to teach me to use it.

I have been a professional photographer in this city for years, and I can tell you there is no place better. They are actually the ones that sold me my first camera, and helped me get to where I am today. They are totally helpful, and don't play any games. You can go someplace else, but beware of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Bennett's is the best!

I am not related nor do I work there. I have been doing business with Bennetts for about 1 year. They have been the most helpful ever. I am a yankee and dealt with many, Bennetts is in the top. The guys at the counter will go out of their way. The classes are very good. You might find lower prices on the net, but you get local service with them. Gil has a wealth of info in his grey matter. Chris will go out of his way to help. Their framing is incredible also. Both my husband, my boss, and a married couple-friends, are doing business with them and totally satisfied. All my questions and problems have been dealt with professionally and rapidly with small purchases and large purchases.

I went in the store a few times recently and found that those selling camera equipment could use some customer service pointers. I was looking at a DSLR and asked some legitimate questions, but felt like I was being dismissed since I didn't already own one and only used a point and shoot. I was also looking at the lower end Canon dslr.I asked about the Canon and the sales guy said that the Minolta was better and that is what he has. He said that was the endorsement that should matter most. I don't think they sell Minolta.I don't know if the guy was hard of hearing, but when I asked him a question he shouted his answer like I was 50 feet away. The treatment I received was odd because when I went there a week earlier another sales guy helped me and he was very courteous when I was looking at a very expensive HD video camera. His manner quickly turned when I was looking at another camera that was under $1,000.00.The people that do the photo developing are super friendly and helpful. I am baffled as to why the sales guys temper is so acrimonious.I would suggest any other photo provider to my friends and family before I would suggest this place. They aren't a good deal. I could see if you were getting savings for abuse, then I would use them but there is no savings there.

I have done business with Bennetts for many years and have always had very pleasant experiences with each visit. Made no diference if I was buying camera gear, studio lighting, flash equipment, or just browsing and standing over the shoulder of the lady doing retouching in Photo Shop.
They are all very knowledgeble, helpful and alway very pleasant. Matter of fact, I was in there yesteday, just to browse.

I had to replace my camera and was looking to upgrade. The folks at Bennett's were great. I have to say they are by far the most knowledgeable in the city with
what works best. Expecting a different experience after reading another review, I was pleasantly surprised, and thought I should share----Amy

Every time I enter Bennetts I'm greeted with a friendly smile that quickly turns into a contemptuous sneer. I walked in the other day ully intending to buy $1200 worth of camera gear only to be talked down to, told that what I wanted didn't exist and all in a tone that said, "we don't give a damn."
I've worked plenty of customer service gigs and dealt with annoying customers to understand where the animosity can come from, but this was over the top.
It's amazing they stay in business with their F-You attitude. I'd rather shop anywhere else than Bennetts.

They could be the cheapest in town and I wouldn't buy from them. They treat customers like they are ignorant and have serious attitude towards anyone who doesn't own a Canon or Nikon camera. I sent my husband in just to see if it was because all of the guys behind the counter were men, and I was getting the "mom with camera" treatment, or if they were just rude in general. He left disgusted as well. However, they did not treat him with disdain the way I was. Instead they insisted he had to buy a "better" camera i.e. more expensive. The employees would rather talk to each other and will look down their noses at you if you ask questions. Once they realize you do know what you're talking about and aren't going to be taken by their attitude, they become short and to the point. Seems they prefer to have people that either will shell out money blindly or those who agree with their own personal choices on equipment. Go to Wolf Camera or Lakeside down the road!! Prices are the same, but you'll get treated like a human being and not like a subordinate!!
