Let It be known that veteran's ford will only offer you auction prices for trade in's

Brought 2 vehicles in 5 days apart.

2006 F-150 XL Stripped down work truck with 27,000 Miles on it, They offered 5k For it. Yet the vehicle was in my opinion a clean trade in. They do not go buy any standards, NADA They toss out the window.

So, another words, They go buy what a auction of rental cars, fleet cars etc go for. And as a lot of people know auctions can range.

Brought in a mint condition 2009 Highway mile Fusion. Clean Trade in Per NADA Specs. NADA Showed a price of around 7K, Rough was 5700. Veterans ford offered me 4000 For it. Now this vehicle had all highway miles but yes it did have 125K on it.

All the managers are rude and will curse infront of you. Especially the used car sales manager.

Be careful. As I did this twice and when they offered me 5k for a 2006 F-150 Strip down model for 5K, In Clean trade in condition, I was shocked.

I will never do business with Veterans for again. They want to steal trade in's In my opinion.

In My opinion I would go with another Ford Dealer, As this one .

If anyone has any questions email me at shady1070 at yahoo.com

Wow. I've bought plenty of cars in my life but I've never had such a bizarre and unprofessional experience as I had trying to buy one here! First off, I LOVE to write good reviews, so I'm not just a complainer. These guys are a joke. I am located out of state but was buying a used car through their internet sales manager. We had gotten to an agreement on price and were in the process of discussing details such as delivery/ pick-up, deposit, getting the paperwork set when suddenly they stopped responding and basically said they'd be "unavailable" to wrap up the details until Monday (the negotiating and detail finalization happened on a Friday and Saturday morning). Here's a copy of the email that I got on Monday morning from their internet sales manager:

All these questions have now sparked interest with my used car mgr. After turning down a wholsaler this morning of 14k he is refiguring his #s....He did research on this car and thinks he should be pricing it at 17999.00...There are cars with double the miles going for that price..That price yesterday of 13700 he says he will pass on.(he was off yesterday and that price wasnt from him.).Im truelly sorry but we dont get an opportunity like this to have such a nice car priced right at 15557.00 He said he would discount it to 14990 but would choose to pass on anything less than that.Yes the seat heater buttons accually light up...Trade in value on this car is 14000.00...He just litterally turned a wholsaler down of 14k... :(

-Jonathan

Sooooo - let's ignore the horrible spelling in his email and focus on the content...they actually retracted their offer because since I was interested and they actually agreed on a price, suddenly the sales manager decides that he originally priced the car too low and so he retracted his offer? What??? Who does that? The car was for sale for two weeks before I struck a deal with them. Did nobody think to come up with a price the dealership was willing to accept before they made a deal with a customer?

They sold the car to someone else that Saturday, so clearly someone came in and was willing to offer more AFTER they had agreed to $13,700 with me and they didn't even have the decency to tell me until after they pulled these shenanigans. They are unprofessional and untrustworthy and willing to screw over a customer for a few extra bucks. Stay far away from these guys.

My favorite part is the unhappy face at the end of his email... :( SERIOUSLY???? I'm not sad, I'm totally pissed and massively unimpressed with these guys.

My son took car in for service. They charged $1K for labor. The dealership used car for personal use, lost vehicle registration, and left garbage in interior. Dealership will not return calls to settle matter.

I recently took my vehicle here for service. I had an excellent experience with the service advisor, Keith, who made sure everything was well taken care of and I would recommend this dealership!

I am a young woman who dreads the thought of walking into a car dealership, let alone purchasing a vehicle. At Veterans Ford my experience was fantastic! From the moment I arrived, I felt that I was being taken care of by an honest sales staff that was very concerned with giving me all of the information I would need to make my own decision. Through the sale, I didn't feel pressured at all and I felt I was making all of my own decisions. My particular salesman was great. The color vehicle that I wanted wasn't on site, but they found one for me and I was able to pick it up in less than 48hours. Even after the purchase I still feel that the dealership cares about me. I never visit without a prompt greeting and concern for what my needs might be. I highly recommend Veterans Ford to everyone as I am now a lifelong customer!

★★★★★

I have already recommended Veterans Ford to 2 family members and a neighbor! I have NEVER had a better car buying experience. These guys went above AND beyond to give me exactly what I asked for...and then some! Usually we expect to be rushed, pressured, or tricked. NONE of that took place! I am more than happy to ride around town in my new Ford bearing the name of their dealership on the back. If you're looking for a new Ford, and to be treated right, there is NO other place to go! Thanks again! \r

I went into the dealership at Veterans Ford expecting the same car sales mumbo jumbo. What I received was incredible!! The staff showed me a level of professionalism I never thought existed in the car business. They took the time to find out my needs and showed me a group of vehicles that fell into that criteria. Again I was skeptical about their sincerity but again found that they for real. Once I picked out the vehicle I wanted I expressed that I was just shopping. Instead of the same thing my salesman said great we would make this an imformation day. Since I was never pressured I took advantage of getting all the imformation I could. I had been to other dealerships so I know their prices, but the manager at Veterans Ford took the time to show me exactly how he arrived to the numbers I was presented with. It was never a take it or leave it proposition as I experenced at one of the other dealerships. I decided to purchase the vehicle that day because of the way I was treated. I can't express enough how I felt in that store. I was made to feel that the decision was totally mine and if I decided against the purchase we would part friends. In all the years I have been buying automobiles I have never been shown the courtesy that Veterans Ford showed me. I very highly recommend if you are looking for a new vehicle, and if that vehicle is a Ford, You will be doing yourself an injustice if you don't visit Veterans Ford.

I was interested in buying a vehicle and was in the showroom with my husband. The finance manager, Justin Escudier and a hispanic man (I did not get his name) were commenting on a teenage girl who was in the showroom with her parents. They were discussing her physical attributes. Her behind and breasts. It was unprofessional and not something you want to over hear when you are buying a car from a company that claims to have high standards. I wish I could do more than write a review. Contact the local news maybe. That poor girl. I hope her parents did not buy a car from this unethical bunch of people. I see this isn't his first time being accused of immoral behavior and he has a criminal reord. My question is why does a dealership keep a man like this in his employment. The other man is just as bad. Shame on Veteran's Ford!

Was a first time customer of Veterans Ford when I went in for a simple oil change. I will definetly be back. I saw that they advertised about a multi-point inspection which I had called about ahead of time to see what it involved and was told over the phone with no problem along with a round about time that i could expect to wait for service to be completed. Ok so I pull in and was greeted within a couple seconds by what I learned was a concierge and not too far behind came a service rep that greeted me as well. Before I came into Veterans Ford I knew that my brakes were starting to have a little of a grumble when stopping. Figured I would put them to the test on there multi-point being that it involved brake inspection. As I waited in there waiting area sipping on the coffee that they had provided watching the morning shows in walked the service rep and let me know that the mechanic was in the middle of my oil change and that there was a couple things that he wanted to bring to my attention. First thing was that the mechanic noticed the brakes starting to grind when he moved the vehicle and let me know that I had needed a brake servicing. I didn't have to hear anything past that!!! I was delighted!!! There was also a couple other minor things also that I might want to take care of also. I agreed to those services and was let know about how long it would be was told that they had a shuttle service if I would like to be brought home, work or grab something to eat. Took service rep up on that offer for a shuttle ride. Got a call a couple minutes before the time that the service rep said vehicle would be ready and I called the shuttle and was brought back to the dealer with no problem. Rep went over the multi-point inspection sheet and even enrolled me in a rewards program that i get so much percent i spend that can be used on my next visit and every fifth oil change is free. I will definetly be back.

I bought a car knowing I would be able to pay it off in the next couple of weeks. They treated me like I would steal the car, made me pay 9 grand for a down payment and sold me the car at 23.99 % interest. Not to mention they wanted to put LoJack in it so they could track me down when I could not make the payments LMAO. So it cost me 560 a month to borrow $12,900 dollars from Ford. Not to mention I bought a Toyota Tundra. I will never go back. Screw lo jack and screw Veterans Ford. Ford is a shitty brand anyways. I would not have even went to them if the truck i wanted was not for sale there. I would feel sorry for the people they do that to who couldn't pay the car off because they take your 9 grand and take the car make 10 grand off the car buy reselling it and put you in debt for the remainder of the balance of the loan. Such arrogant a holes! And they act like they are doing you a favor. In todays economy you would think that they would appreciate my business. And Robert Wiener is a DB! And he has a lot of nerve giving his own dealership a five star review. Not to mention he came in when I was there he came up and interrupted me and just to ask the associate what he been up to and shoot the shit...he didn't say not one word to me. I had just spent $25,000 cash money and he didn't say not one word to me. This whole situation was the most stressful car buying experience of my life.
Update-Also, after carefully reading my purchase agreement that I should have read very carefully before I signed it (which is totally my mistake) I realized that they lied to me big time. They had me purchase their warranty agreement and several other things I should not have needed and told me the reason was that Ford Motor Credit required it. Dwayne lied. Wayne (The sales manager) lied. Tony lied. These guys will sweet talk you to death and in the end you will be screwed. IF YOU BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING THEY DO TO YOU. NOT TO MENTION ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS AND THEY CASHED MY CHECK AND STILL WILL NOT GIVE ME MY SIXTY DAY TAG SO I CAN BE LEGAL. THEY ARE LOWLIFE A HOLES WHO ARE LOOKING TO SCREW ANY AND EVERYONE. ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE NEW TO BUYING A CAR. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEIR BOTTOM LINE OF COURSE. TO GIVE THEM CREDIT I WOULD EXPECT NOTHING LESS FROM A CAR SALESMAN BUT THESE GUYS ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST!! IF YOU ARE SMART TAKE MY ADVICE AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE PRICKS! I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ ALL THE REVIEWS BELOW ME BEFORE I MADE THE HUGE MISTAKE OF BUYING A CAR FROM VETERANS ""WE WILL PUT IT IN SIDEWAYS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF EVEN A REACH AROUND"" FORD!!!!
Update 11-1-10 After telling me they could not hold my check for 1 week they called me on Nov 1st and told me that they still had not submitted the finance paperwork to ford motor credit. This turned out to be a good thing because they wanted me to come back up there (3 weeks later) and redo all my paperwork and pay cash since my funds were now available. They can't hold my check but they can hold the financial paperwork. I will never never never never never go back. By the way I over paid for the car by thirty dollars and they told me they had me a check waiting, when I arrived for the umpteenth time they made me resign all of my paperwork AGAIN, for the third time....lol Wow. Not to mention they gave me no check for my over payment. They can f'n keep the thirty I would rather them keep it then me ever pull into there parking lot again.

So I called the dealership to order a part for my car and instead the conversation turned into an argument with the most disgruntled service dude in perhaps the history of Ford Stealerships. I find it highly unusual that a service guy would be so willing to dismiss a customer's questions and become highly argumentative over being asked to do his job. Perhaps this is the norm there but I have never been spoken to like that by anybody. Nothing I could have said would have ever merited his response. All i wanted to know was a price, to find out if my part was still on back order, and an estimated repair time for my car. Instead I got an earful about how i'm wasting his time by not bringing my vehicle into them to diagnose @ $95 (and a two hour round trip for me to not even get my car fixed because all I needed to know is if the part was still on back order) because he quote "" wouldn't waste the time of his parts department to look up an item that he doesn't know that I need."" Well I'm fairly certain that i need a seat since i spent 3,000 miles sitting on the floor and I have paperwork from another ford dealer (whom couldn't get the part before I had to return from my vacation) stating the issue. The conversation ended with him screaming like a little girl and me taking my business elsewhere. On a side note the last time i had my vehicle serviced there they tried to get me to buy a new battery even though mine was almost new and tested out to be in perfect condition, and they also told me i needed my rotors machined instead of actually fixing a brake pad clip that was falling off. Good luck with these guys.

As the owner of Veterans Ford, let me say that I am very proud of our staff and their efforts to deliver quality service and high customer satisfaction. Our technicians undergo extensive training - including ASE and Ford certifications - and are some of the best in the business. Our sales staff is highly knowledgeable, very personable and will not be undersold on any deal. In the event that any customer is ever not fully satisfied, I am personally available to discuss any concern.

My truck just made 92,000 miles, so I brought it in for complete service before it gets to the big 100k mark. They did everything from brakes, to transmission, to spark plugs, and everything in between. My truck drives a whole lot better now and my gas mileage has improved. They probably added an extra year of life to my truck.

Pros: Excellent attention to detail

★★★★★

I brought them my 03 silverado that is my baby. I wanted to get the whole truck repainted. The guys in the paint shop did a very very good job that I was more than happy with. It didnt take them as long as I thought it would. If I ever have anything that I need painted I will go back to them!!!!!!!

Pros: Very clean paint work!!!!

★★★★★

I wrecked my vehicle with over 8,000 dollars in damage and it was repaired in a very timly manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Pros: Excellent work

While traveling from Baton Rouge my Ford Escape broke down on me. I called Veterans Ford Service Department and was helped by a very delightful lady. She had my vehicle towed in and sent a shuttle vehicle to pick me up and bring me to their dealership. My escape was repaired in a timely manner and I was on my way back to my afternoon appointment in Baton Rouge. The fuel pump was replaced and I was charged a very resonable price. Great People!

Pros: Best Ford Dealership in New Orleans Area

My son took car in for service and paid $1K in labor to fix sunroof. Used car for personal use and put 200 miles on car. Left garbage in interior and lost car registration. Will not return call to settle dispute.

Cons: will not settle customer dispute.

Don't even bother with these people. I brought in my 2002 Ford Explorer because the vehicle wouldn't start. They called me to tell me that I have other problems. I okay fixing the problems they told me about and think that maybe I'm going to get a working vehicle back. No such luck. I pay the bill, and hop in the car. Driving off the lot, my car is making funny (weird, not ha ha) noises. I call and ask if there are any openings to bring it in and, as proved to be the norm, I don't get a call back. When I finally just bring it in I get a call saying there are other problems. Nevermind the fact they supposedly fixed the problem. Now they want to tell me the problem is coming from brand new problems. Conveniently all coming from places their mechanics poked around. \r
Here I am, over a week without my vehicle and when I go in getting stories about weak spots appearing when an initial weak spot is fixed. As I told the representative, I could see it if it happened a week or even a few days after I picked it up. I sure can't understand it just driving off the lot. I was given the number of a manager that was supposed to be able to help me. I called and had a great conversation with his voicemail. I guess he must really be as busy as the rep said, because I have yet to hear back from him.\r
The only reason I'm giving them one star is because this doesn't permit no or negative stars. \r
Save yourself a lot of money, and I do mean a lot. Right now I'm out several grand, my car, and listening to how much more it will take to solve the first set of problems.\r
The funniest part is that the problem I left the place with involved my brakes. Yeah. Seems at any given moment my brakes can seize up which is, to say the least, hazardous to my health. Nothing like going from benign problems to my life now being in danger.

Pros: They will take you.

Cons: They will take you for a ride.

I took my car (40k miles) to Veterans Ford because my ""Check Engine"" light came on. They asked me if I noticed if any symptoms, and I mentioned that it had been running a little bit hot, but that I didn't know if it was related or not to the Check Engine light. Without almost any warning they made nearly $2000 in repair work on my car (my car's book value is only $1200). When I got it back, they had changed all sorts of unrelated stuff, from PCV hose to fuel filters to replacing the therm cover and seals to flushing the cooling system, to replacing the thermostat and housing. It turns out that when I mentioned that it had been running ""a bit hot"" they treated it as an entirely separate problem and seemed to have made as many repairs as they could imagine. Just one ""Check Engine"" light and they pushed through as many replacements as they could. But that isn't the worst of it.\r
\r
Less than two weeks after I took it to them my Check Engine light came on again. It appears that $2000 didn't fix anything. So I took the car to my regular mechanic, and here is what he told me: all the wiring was corroded, and replacing it would be nearly impossible (or at least prohibitively costly). He said this was ""obvious"" to anyone who looked under the hood, much less a Veterans Ford mechanic. The car, my regular mechanic says, has a very short while before it will begin to have major electrical problems and soon have to be sold for parts. Knowing this, Veterans Ford mechanics *must* have seen these corroded wires and known the meaning of it. But instead of just telling me the facts, they pushed through $2000 in ""repairs"" that didn't fix anything on a car that will have to be sold for parts in the very near future. Even if you assume that all those repairs were needed (and everything suggests that they were not), it doesn't explain why they would not tell me of the cars major and obvious electrical problems. \r
