Ed Martens Jewelry

Terrible customer service. Will never shop there again, this after spending $4500.00. The lady who owns the store is very disrespectful. I know nothing about jewelry, but I cannot imagine you look for a reason to argue with a customer when an spend a significant amount of money. I would recommend any other jewelers, including Wal-Mart, over this store. I only gave this store one star because the site won't take a posting without a rating.

I would like to comMent on this business... The comMent posted by Jewels M must have come from the widow herself... That would be the only way they could get a good review... This person is very dishonest, she misled my husband & took advantage of him... She sold him a wedding set that she knew were way overpriced, Zales has the same ring for $2,900, she charged my husband over $5,000, & they were not even certified, and like the other customer review, a diamond fell out of the band the day after she sold them... Also, like the other customer she will not refund, replace or even allow an upgrade for the more than $5,000 he paid... I will report her to the BBB of Louisiana, but she will still be able to take advantage of the public... These are the businesses that hurt good honest hard working people like you & me... My husband works hard for his money & he just wanted to surprise me with a diamond ring for our anniversary, he didn't think about being ripped off by this woman... BOYCOT THIS BUSINESS!!!

Take this as a WARNING!!! DO NOT SHOP IN THIS STORE! They will rip you off in a heart beat!!!

Diamond fell out of setting within 24 hours of purchase... They will NOT EXCHANGE or REPLACE!!! Wasted several thousand dollars in this place!!!

DOES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS!!!

I find this jewelry store to be clean, professional, helpful and willing to order whatever I want... if it isn't in the cases already. I think alot of people don't know that the owner that the store was named for recently died of bone cancer and has been ill for sometime. Those that claim to be "regulars" should know this and understand that for two years they have done everything in their power to make sure customers (like me) have what we need, when we need it... despite their long trips to and from cancer centers and hospitals. According to a newspaper article on 16 Sept, the present owner (Ms. Marten) now plans to keep the store open with her two sons and run it as she sees fit! I love her taste in jewelry and the fact that they can repair things right there and not send it off! WAY TO GO ED MARTENS JEWELRY of Slidell, Louisiana!

I would not recommend this jewelry store. I have been trying to pick up a ring I had sized and they haven't been opened during their posted hours. I also find them rude and unhelpful when they are opened. My husband is a regular and they never seem to reconize us. I told him don't buy me anything from them!

I would not recommend this jeweler. I put a heart necklace on lay a way. When I went to pick it up. The necklace that had been put aside for me was not the item that I picked out.
The owner said that I was the same item. He would not give me a refund or exhange.

PROS: none
CONS: Not customer friendly.
