Rent-Max

I am a landlord and have listed several properties with them in the Dallas area. I always have had very good experiences and have referred them to other landlords. Rent Max USA employees are very polite and do follow up with me to see if it is still available. There seems to be a separate branch in the Dallas area. I would think if they were so bad I would know due to receiving some feedback from the lookers which I do not. Some of the landlords get too busy and forget to call them back to take the ad off the list. I would suggest they e-mail us every week to see if the property is still available. It would be so convenient to just reply with a yes or no.

To place a rent ad in the paper cost a minimum of $135.00. I seem to get more calls from Rent Max USA and another company which seems to have closed than the $135.00 paper ad.

I keep my rentals in great shape but a lot of landlords do not which is a shame.

Rent Max is a total scam! I went with my current neighbor and the office building is just a suite and I tried to get her to leave from the start but she felt it was worth a chance. Within a week she tried to get her money back because of a death in her family and could not reach them. When she went back to the office the young girl looked confused even when she showed her contract that guaranteed a refund. She was told to call the toll free number which I guess did not give her much help because we are still neighbors and she never did get her money. She even tried to email them and no repsonse. It has been 5 months.

I used rentmax and they were the rudest people I have EVER dealt with. It is a total rip-off and most of the homes listed are completely outdated and already rented. when I called to complain, the MANAGER hung up on me at least twice, told me to shut up, and accused me of being a liar. I went all the way to district and the guy wasn't even that much better! I've already reported them to the better business bureau and I suggest everyone do the same. It only takes maybe 5 minutes. SHUT THESE PEOPLE DOWN!

Is there a website I can go to for this? I typed it into google but I didn't see anything that said helping find houses? If anyone knows any good rent houses for cheap please let me know!

I also tried Rent Max ,but a friend told me about Home Care Referral Network they have a renters referral services that helps you find a home ,she did purchase a list for $35.00 ,she said none of the homes on the list were bad at all. To me she came out better its cheaper and she said the CUSTOMER SERVICE is FANTASTIC!!!!!the number is 318-734-1213The best part is she did not even leave home they emailed the list to her.

I had contemplated using rent max to help find a house to rent but after reading Jessica's unprofessional "review", I'm totally convinced that I don't want to deal with an employee like that.

My sister ran an ad to rent one of her properties and rent max placed her property on their list without her permission. Alot of the rental properties are already running in the public papers for free.

So, Jessica, Stop working your $%^ off and start working your arms off and your fingers to the bone calling landlords and getting more properties for the customers to choose from instead of insulting them.

I had good experience with the office person. He told me up front that some of the houses might not be in great shape, some I may want to run away from, some may be rented, and they don't inspect the houses. I signed the contract with an open mind. Yes the fee was $59, but i also knew that beforehand. These people are providing a service. They can only give the information that is given to them from the landlords. If they went out and inspected every property, the fee would be a lot more than just 60 bucks! A lot of the houses on my list are not places I would choose to live, but unfortunately that would be expected in the area I chose to look and for the price I wanted to pay. They didn't promise me anything and I can bet they didn't anyone else either.

Just a thought...Do you really think by insulting people who give their opinion about their experience with Rent Max is a good way to represent this fabulous company called Rent Max who obviously is getting such RAVED reviews. With employees like you, I can definitely see how out of 7 reviews, 6 were very poor. You being the "model employee" you are, with such excellent customer service is the only one who gave such a great review and representing this company by insulting someone. Instead of giving negative feedback to your past customers who were clearly unhappy with the service that was provided, why don't you try turning a negative into a positive, take constructive criticism and maybe think about what all these people are saying. There's got to be some truth to it somewhere. HMMM, I wonder where they get that from??? This isn't the only website where Rent Max is getting bad reviews from and quite frankly you just lost another potential client. Do you not understand that word of mouth is the best form of marketing for any company? You might want to think about that next time you respond to on behalf of the company that you work for.

i work for this company,we do our best to find you people as many homes that are on the market,if the landlords don't return our calls how do we know whats been rented were not psychic.and fyi were also not a real estate company we provide information on homes.we don't go and look at the homes we just know what the landlord tells us.so you ungrateful folks need to realize we work our azz off for you.thank you to all our grateful customers we do care for you

My husband and I moved from out of town so we didn't know where to start when looking for a home. I looked at the reviews on this page but, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried them. They make it sound really great, but it's not. They gave me a listing of 25 rental properties. First off, I have a dog. I asked for listings that approved pets. I was given 12 listings that didn't except pets narrowing my search to13. Others were in bad neighborhoods or already rented. From there my search is only narrowed down to 3. Out of 25, I think that is a waste of money. I could have looked in the newspaper and had better luck. I did find this part somewhat helpful. One of the listings I called had their property already rented but he refered me to a friend of his who also has rental housing. It's in a excellent nieborhood and rent is not expensive. We are to go view it tomorrow. Read the other reviews. Make your own decesion. You may have a diffrent outcome. Rent Max wasn't very helpful for us. $61 dollars wasted!

When we first moved to the area and were looking for someplace to live we went here. It was awful and were totally ripped off. all the rentals were either already taken or just really trashy. I do not recommend anybody to them.

They charge too much to help you find a home. Usually they show you all Ghetto houses. It's definitely not worth the money you pay them or your time. Definitely a WASTE

When we first moved here we were going to go through them thank goodness we didn't give them any money. We went up to talk to them and the place didn't even look like any kind of buisness we wanted to be dealing with so we left. Have only heard negative thing about them since.

We went to them after reading some great Adds for Rental Properties in the Local Area. We had just moved here so we didn't know where to begin. They charge you a Fee that they tell you is refundable. We told them what Area we were looking at which was around the Base and they gave us a List of Houses available. OMG most of those Houses looked so run down I wouldn't let a Dog live in them. We ended up taking a Apt that I had found while still in Ks and told them I wanted my $ back (it was about $60 something). They said that since I didn't call every Day for 30 Days I wouldn't get a Refund. I also told them about the Properties they offered us and all we were told is that they don't check what they get! They steal your $!!!
