New Tech Barber Shop

The New Tech Barber shop is located in the basement of MIT's Student Center and, as such, is frequented by MIT students and staff, but also be people living and working in the general vicinity. The staff are not particularly punctual about opening and closing times and have on multiple occasions shown up more than half an hour after the shop officially opens at 8:30 a.m. The haircuts vary by stylist but are generally quite acceptable. When I was a student at MIT, I did occasionally encounter students who claimed to have gotten a bad haircut here, but I have never had that experience, and it has been over 10 years since I graduated. I still frequent the shop.

PROS: Good hair cuts
CONS: Inconvenient hours for those not working on the MIT campus
