Kells Restaurant

It's a college/yuppie/young hipster spot but it's got good music, good drinks, and great food. Plus an amazing location. The seating is comfortable and allows you to take a break from the melee, or just chill if that's not your scene. I think it's much, much better than average for what it is, and it's pretty high class for Allston standards.

Kells is just another bar in Brighton - another college bar. The upstairs bar is much nicer then the downstairs. The food is ok, not bad. Overall it is ok.

This place has two levels so it is a good place I'd you are looking to rent out the place for a group. For group events, the appetizers are pretty decent. Drinks here are an okay price, but the quality of the drinks really depends on your bartender.

I'm sure a lot of people have stories of good times at the Kells - I unfortunately am too old for this atmosphere. It's your typical "bar plus dance floor" place but it gets WAY too crowded on that dance floor. That may not bother the newly 21 but I was not a fan of it - upper 20-somethings may want to try someplace else. It's your standard college crowd, with girls who drink way beyond their limits and act accordingly as well as guys who think being in a dark bar gives them liberty to grope females they don't even know. Not for me...but may be for you.
