The Capital Diner is a tiny place usually full of the local characters, both high and lowbrow. Its tucked between buildings with the short side of the boxcar facing the street making it easy to miss, so be alert. Up to a couple of years ago the diners little side yard was home to a few chickens and a pygmy goat. The critters are now in retirement homes as it became apparent that the restaurant help no longer considered cleaning chicken pens part of their job description. Its a big loss really. Now the view consists of the tiny, neatly landscaped but critter-less plot of land, which ends abruptly at the brick wall of the next building.
