Acapulcos Mexican Family Rest

I have been preparing Mexican food at home for nearly 50 years and am thrilled to find a local place that will do it for me, while pleasing my palate, my pocketbook and giving me friendly, courteous service - including delivering my takeout to the sidewalk when it's too hot to leave my dog in the car. I'm giving them five stars because they are perfect for me, though I imagine you could find fancier, higher priced Mexican fare if that is what you are looking for.

They have typical Mexican fare. The service was great. I wasn't impressed with taste of the meals, but I do like the affordable prices. It is perfect for taking the family

It was Cinco De Mayo and the place was busy for sure, the bar wasn't packed by any stretch for 7pm nor was it by 8pm but all seats were taken. Apparently it is family run and the owners wife either has no table manners or just doesn't care because as we were sitting at the bar eating she proceeded to reach over our dish to grab something from the bar rather than walk around to the other side of the bar and obtain what she was reaching for. She did this to us twice and saw no issue either time. I find that disgusting to have someone reach right over your plate of food and think that is OK. I will say they are all hard working for sure and wouldn't take that away from any of them especially the gentleman who basically stood in one spot and simply made drinks for the 2 hours we were there.

I have taken the kids here a few times. They have great service and very good food. They bring nachos to the table right away so that my hungry boys can eat. The food was delivered very quickly and hot. They also gave the kids something to color with. There was a varied 'adult' menu too. I would recommend it!
