Unless this is a free or reduced price gym, I would not bother. It is small, dark and has old equipment. The swimming pool was not maintained well and I query whether it would pass a health inspection. I swam in it once and found the experience disgusting.
I think you can find a better place for the money.

Waverley Oaks Athletic Club is a convenient gym if you work in the nearby Waltham / Belmont areas and aren't looking for anything special. The main cardio room is a bit dark and the layout of all the machines in a circle facing into the room I found a bit odd. Adding more mirrors to the walls and having the machines face the mirrors so you can watch and perfect your form while working out would be a much better concept. WOAC felt more like a larger version of a standard run-of-the-mill corporate workout room than a state-of-the-art athletic club. I'd recommend it to someone looking to get in some basic cardio and strength training if the location is convenient but for serious lifters and trainers, I'd say definitely try-before-you-buy!
