Bova's Bakery

Bova's is an amazing bakery right in the North End. They are open late so you can stop by on your way home and pick up a few slices or a calzone. During the day they make subs to order. Their bread is out of this world as well as all the delicious bakery treats. Good place to stop before you head to a party - bring a loaf and a box of desserts and you are sure to be a crowd favorite.

I've been living in Boston for awhile now & hate going anywhere but Bova's for my favorite pastries. In my opinion, Bova's has the absolute best chocolate chip cannolis in the area. Everyone always ends up on Hanover St. at Mike's or Modern, but Bova's is just 1 block away & has a variety of italian pastries, breads, pizza, calzones, & more. It's also awesome for those late night hunger pains since Bova's is open 24 hours! So when you want a cannoli or a loaf of bread or a calzone in the middle of the night, Bova's is your place.

Most people seem to vote for Mike's or Modern as the best pastry shop in the north end, but my vote is for Bova's. This place is open 24-hours and serves everything from calzones to cannolis, and also sells holiday pies without the hour-long wait that you're bound to find on Hanover. Every pastry I've tried here (and I've tried a lot over the last 3 1/2 years) has been amazing. They also have several of their pastries in miniature sizes, which is great for parties and events. Definitely my top pick for north end treats.

This bakery is located in the North End of Boston on the corner of Price Street and Salem Street. Last I was there, it was still opened 24 hours a day. They have bakery pizza and calzones and cookies and pastries as well as breads. Great bakery to know about at 2:00 a.m. after a night out.
