I can honestly say I have no faith in this cab company. The first time I took a ride in one of these cabs I had a very punctual and professional driver that got me to work on time. The second time I had to find another way to get to work on time at the last minute and I almost lost my job even though I called HOURS in advance. So they score a 1 out of 2 from me. When they show up on time they are great. But at this point I just don't know if they will show up. And I can't gamble with my job.
I'm sure it want the drivers fault he was late. I'm sure he had a selfish and thoughtless fare that had to make unexpected stops. I'm more angry at the high likelihood of that than the cab drivers themselves.

in the taxi world if you tell anyone longer than right away, thats all it takes for the company to be no good, god forbid the person before had to make an unexpected stop and tied the car up an extra 15 min which the next person has to absorb, these are cars on streets not star trek with teleporting technoligy when you call 5 min before you have to be somewhere, what do you expect ,for everyone in line before you to not get there taxi just cuz you called.i take them everyday to get to work, there fares are the cheapest around, and jus cuz the people on the phone just want to know where i am i wouldnt call that rude,if i started babbling i would hope to get hung up on.all i need is a ride, they are a very busy company with a lot of people in line so i wait my turn and call ahead as i do with any taxi company they dont make me wait on purpose i dont take it personally grow up people.find a NEW HOBBY its not like they are down the street laughing at me.its the jerk before me that doesnt tell them they are making 5 stops. and returning, cuz if they told me 5 min and it takes an hour i blame the jerk before me that didnt tell them all they wanted to do.they are jus people putting up with what i wouldnt.they have 4 cars not time machines

Awful. I called a cab for 2:15 to make a 2:34 train. I only live 8 minutes from the train station at most so at 2:25 I called the company to see where my cab was and the woman on the phone told me that the driver was on his way. I called again a few minutes later because he still hadn't shown up and she said he had left because no one was there. I had been waiting outside since 2:10, the driver never showed up. Needless to say, I missed my train and my interview. Thank you City Taxi....

I called them today at 7am to reserve a taxi at 11am for a ride to the airport.. I called at 11:10 to ask where the car was. I was told it was on it's way. I called at 11:20 and was told the same thing. I called at 11:30, furious that there was never any call to me to tell me that there was an issue and that my family would still arrive at the airport on time for the 1pm flight... what kind of customer service is that? Had I known at 11am that this would have happened, I would have called someone else.

City Taxi Of Beverly is one of the best cab companies I have used in years. Having just moved from a major city and expecting pitiful service and equipment, I was pleasantly suprised. Driver was very polite, car was clean and rate was fair. I would certainly recommend this taxi company.

I have used City Taxi in total about 8 or 10 times, and although they have either taken double the time they've told me or had to be called back to be reminded of my request for a ride in the past I have continued to call them out of convenience- after my most recent experience, however, I will not give this company another dime.
Although the drivers are generally polite, the dispatchers and "management" are unbelievably rude.
During my most recent experience with City Taxi,I requested a cab from my home to nearby Endicott College. Like every other time I have called for a cab here, it was difficult to be certain whether anyone was actually going to show up as the dispatcher mumbled and immediately hung up as soon as I gave my address.
That said, I called back after waiting outside my house 20 minutes for pick-up. The dispatcher rudely barked that a driver had been to my address and left. When I explained that I had been waiting outside my door since calling, he replied that he guessed he would send the cab by again and abruptly hung up. After another ten minutes and still no taxi in sight, I called again. This time I was hung up on the moment I stated the address where I'd been waiting.
When my fiance called and requested to speak with a supervisor, the dispatcher who had hung up on me identified himself as "the boss." He said that the driver had driven past the street that our street turns off of and beeped, He continued that if we hadn't been there it "wasn't his problem." Our home - mind you the requested location for pick-up - is not on the street where the cab supposedly stopped or even on the corner of that street. The dispatcher was immediately rude, repeatedly swore and hung up again.
It is important to note that both my fiance and I were polite and reasonable during this entire interaction and were met with disgustingly unprofessional behavior.
Having moved to Beverly from Boston, we understand that taxi transportation isn't as much of a convention outside of the city. As new homeowners who use the commuter rail for work, we often call a cab to get home from the grocery store or to the zip car at Endicott College.
I am completely apalled at the way we were treated. And for the sake of the nice drivers I have encountered, I hope that the "gentleman" who identified himself as "the boss" does not in fact hold such a position.
Despite being headquartered extremely close to my house, I will never ever call a City Taxi cab again - and unless you enjoy being treated like a second class citizen, I do not recommend that you do either.

I admit, I've often called City Taxi just because their number is so easy to remember. But every time, I've been dissatified with them. They take forever to show up -- if they show up at all. The last time I called them, I waited I waited outside for over thirty minutes for a cab they claimed had already shown up and left.
