I ordered the service from them, a three men crew, but they finally sent a two men instead. I called them and they promissed two men could finish within three hours. Guess what? You are right, they cannot. So they arrived at 3:30 (scheduled 2:30) and finished at 8:30.

Do not consider using this utterly unreliable mover. carmel
revised my fee from an estimated $2,500 to nearly $9,000 after placing my items in its truck. As of today, 31 days after pickup, the truck has not arrived. In fact, it didn't leave the area for two full weeks following pickup. After several follow-up phone calls I was told that my things would arrive three weeks after pickup. The truck never arrived so I phoned again. This time they told me it would be yet another week before delivery XXXa full four weeks for a move from California to Massachusets. I now expect them to attempt to charge me even more upon arrival.
Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. These incompetent sharks aren't worth the trouble.

I wanted to let you know that yesterday's move couldn't have gone better. Pablo, Ivan and Manuel were a wonderful crew. They were professional, friendly, respectful with our things, and quick. It was hard for us to keep with them!
All our interactions with everyone we've been in contact with at Carmel the past couple of months have been positive and professional. It's been great working with you and the rest of your team. Sean and I will definitely recommend Carmel to other people, specifically the crew that moved us.

I don't know if it is possible for me to express my gratitude for your help
today with my son's move. No one can believe that it was possible that I
could live in Richmond, Va and with one phone call have my son completely
moved from one end of Boston to the other side within three hours. I heard
nothing but high praise from my son on how friendly and efficient the two
guys were that assisted him. I sincerely thank you and appreciate once
again your helping us out in such short notice and without any hesitation I
would highly recommend your fine company to anyone in the future.

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding move of my mom from Mass. to Baltimore after my father's recent passing. There was so much anxiety about moving to an assisted living without any of us around to supervise the move. Your moving staff was gentle, respectful and kind to my mom who was so distraught. They packed up everything meticulously and unpacked the same way in Baltimore. You did more than move us. You did an act of kindness when we were in crisis. You and Vivo clearly understood our need. I chose you as a mover because you had expertise in this area but I will tell everyone I can among my friends and relatives how extraordinaary you were. One prays that when the going gets rough there will be people like you and your company to help. I can only say may God bless you and keep you because this act of kindness was of the highest order.

Terrible moving experience

I've moved alot in the past couple years and had some great experiences and some that were only mediocre. The move with Carmel Movers was by far the worst. The guys doing the moving were whiners, making me feel like they were being inconvenienced in moving my belongings. Then they left some of our stuff in the truck even though we asked them to double check. It has taken two weeks and about a dozen phone calls (not an exaggeration) to get the items returned...which were broken when finally received. Customer service was extremely poor and nonresponsive in the whole process.

Carmel Mover's are not what they appear to be. They broke items and refuse to repair and pay for the items...They were two hours late. I was over charged and i should have checked the BBB before the move..Please be aware of the worst moving company in boston.

What can I say about Carmel Movers? Well for one thing, the guys over at Carmel moving really know their stuff! They showed up on time (actually a little earlier than expected) and were all ready to go! I have never had another moving company show up on time before, it was amazing. The guys that were sent from Carmel Movers wrapped each item carefully in rugs, bubble wrap and other protective wrappings, giving special care to all of my items. Carmel movers was excellent in helping out and I would recommend them to anyone needing a great, reliable moving company. Thank you so much Carmel!

Carmel Movers, I can not say enough about them. I had such a great experience moving with them. From the moment I called them, they told me that my satisfaction was guaranteed, or I would get my money back. How could I not choose them, not happy, I get my money back. The guys showed up on time, all in company shirts, and ready to work. After I spoke with the Forman Pablo, he had his crew in full motion......... When they were done, the Forman Pablo asked me several times if I was satisfied with the job him and his guys preformed. I must admit, I was very impressed, and I could not ask for my money back.

Carmel movers were attentive to details and careful with all of our furniture and our new hardwood floors. We were very satisfied with the move. Also, their quote was binding and did not exceed the promised amount. We have used professional movers 3 times in the last 2 years and can therefore truly appreciate the quality of their work.

They gave me an estimate of $3,650 for a weight of 7,000 lbs (MAX). They said it was a conservative estimate. I estimated the weight at 6,000 lbs. 2 other professional companies estimated the weight at 6,200 lbs and 7,000 was a maximum weight. They loaded up all my furniture and then jacked up the estimate to 10,500 lbs and wanted another $2,000. This is a total scam and screw job of the consumer. DON'T EVER CONSIDER HIRING THESE THEIFS ! When I asked to talk with the manager they totally avoided and even screened my calls. I called once and they hung up and then when I called and blocked my phone number they then answered the phone. There is 24 complaints against this company at ripoffreport

I recently moved from my apartment in the metro west to my first home purchase in Natick. I was sure that something would go wrong since several things did during my home buying process, but I was surprised that not one thing went wrong on my move day. I had contacted Carmel on a recommendation from my realtor for whom I have grown to respect after the whole home buying project began for my husband and I. I spoke with a man named Ivan, who suggested that I should have an estimator come and do an in-home estimate. I called several companies and not one suggested it, and Ivan truly insisted it was the best way to get my move done the right way. The estimator Bivo, I think his name was, came to my home, was friendly and fantastic. He listened to my wants, and my concerns. He showed me things I could do to save time on my move day. When he left my apartment, he gave me a bidding estimate and assured me that the amount he gave me would not go over the agreed upon price. It was not the cheapest price I received, but it was the only company that actually saw what I was moving. I booked with Carmel Movers, and I am relieved that I did. My girlfriend went with another company that I got a quote from and she said she was charged double what they quoted her, she said she was charged for everything that she was never made aware of. She was jealous of my move experience. On the day before my move, I got a phone call to confirm my address and to let me know that the movers would be at my apartment early around 8 AM. The guys actually showed up at 7:50, and sat outside until 8. The foreman Walter was great, he really knew how to handle my stuff, and I have big bulky items, I have an entertainment center that is in three pieces, and it moved easier than I thought it would. I was at my new house by 12:30. They asked me where I wanted my stuff put and took all the trash they had with them when they left. It was a great ending to a hard home buying experience.

I recently completed a move using carmel movers out of MA. My move was from MA to FL. This was the worst move I have ever experienced. I have moved five times prior to this with no damages to my things. Below is a *brief* summary of my complaints against the company. Companies like this should not be allowed to advertised professional service.

Could not have been a worse experience. They broke a ton of stuff and charged twice the amount they quoted. Would NEVER EVER recommend them. Check out the BB- we were not the only ones with significant complaints

Carmel Movers is hands down one of the greatest and most experienced moving companys today. The guys at Carmel moving were on top of everything from day 1. They gave me an extremely reasonable price that no one else could beat. Carmel Movers was the best choice I had ever made when moving to my new home in Boston. They had everything packed up on time, and arrived promptly at the new location! I have no complains at all with Carmel Movers. Call them up and I guarantee you wont be disappointed!

I recently moved from Brookline to Framingham. I looked at a few different companies, and although Carmel was more expensive then one of the other companies I looked at, it came highly recommended to me by one friend and one business associate. I was so impressed at how hard Walter and his crew worked. I am a picky person and I have to say I was so appreciative of the hard work they did that I bought them lunch. It was the least I could do to say thank you. I was able to sleep in my own bed the first night in my new home. I have moved twice this time being my second in the last five years, and the last company I used was not as efficient as Carmel was. It seemed like they had a system for everything they did from packing my items on the truck to delivering my items to specified rooms in my new home. I will definitely tell everyone about my great experience, and if I need a mover again, which I hope I don't ( I love my new house) I will call Carmel Movers

Finally a Move with Out Stress

I have moved several times the last few years with my company. I have recently been relocated to Massachusetts, from Maine. I was moved by my company?s first choice of mover the last two times I was moved. I had horrible experiences and they were with big van line companies. This time I begged to choose my own mover, and I am glad I did. I had a great experience. Of course you never know what is going to happen during a move, but I had not one issues. They even came back to my new home the day after my move to help me move some of my big items that I wanted placed in other rooms in my house. They did not even charge me for this service. They were incredibly nice, courteous, and hard working. They did my move in two days, instead of a drawn out move, which I can not thank them enough for. I wish I only got them more then lunch, because they deserve much more. I would recommend them to everyone. I have already told my HR guy in the corporate office about them. Maybe they will use Carmel Movers instead of the people they have been using. ?regards Chris

I hired Carmel Movers to move me closer to my elderly mother. I had some items that needed to go to her home and I needed relocate and store some of my belongings in storage. I can not thank them enough. The price was not the cheapest one I found, but the service was worth every penny. They accommodated all of my requests. Even my mother commented on what a great job they did, and she is a tough customer. Ofra my sales woman was so helpful; she was always willing to answer my questions. I can not thank them enough. I will recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks Carmel!

My move was better then what I expected!

I recently moved from West Roxbury to Brighton. I looked at several local moving companies and decided to go with Carmel Movers. I was so happy that my day was not wasted when I was moving. The movers came on time and worked so hard. It took them less time to complete my move then I was quoted. I was charge by the hour, so I didn?t pay for a job that wasn?t done.. I was done moving by 1 PM, and I was still able to unpack a few boxes before I went out. The Forman Marcus was great, he saw that a box of glasses I had were packed poorly, and he offered me a new box to use as long as I returned it at the end of my move. I would recommend these guys in a second they were professional, nice, hard working and finished quick. ?Leslie
