Affordable prices for alright food

by Dung H. | insider Insider | Rank: 23,360

This isn't the best restaurant if you're looking for some excellent Pho, but on occasion, the pho is exceptional. Service is good and the waiters and waitresses speak english and vietnamese. It's often crowded on weekends and your only option is to wait outside.

Great food, Fantastic Price.

I went to the one in Dorchester, but have been to the Chinatown location too. Basically, the food is great. Very fresh and healthy. Some of the appetizers are better than any Vietnamese place in Boston. The crispy duck springrolls had a great flavor, the grilled onion beef is very unique. The Pho is incredibly good. The selection of soups is the largest I've seen around. The rice plates are a little less special than other restaurants, but nothing beats the value of Pho Hoa. I bring my family of five and gorge ourselves, I don't think I've spent more than $50-$60.

Pros: Value, Freshness

Go for the Soup not the Ambiance

by friejose

Terrific pho in a very authentic setting in the midst of Dorchester's Vietnamese community around Fields Corner. The menu is helpful for first-timers by explaining the various types of pho. Once you get outside of the soup, however, the food is just okay.
