Outermost Inn

The Outermost Inn is owned by Jeanne and Hugh Taylor (brother of singer James Taylor) and is an exquisite property near the Gay Head Cliffs in Aquinnah.

I have not stayed at the Inn but hope to one day, as it is one of the most beautiful and exclusive properties on Martha's Vineyard.

We made dinner reservations months in advance, since it is a small inn and restaurant. Our meal was at dusk and we saw a deer or two on the grounds while we were eating. The food was very fresh and the Taylor's chef uses locally grown ingredients - very delicious. Dinner here is a treat, it is not inexpensive, but worth every penny - for the setting, the service and the cuisine.

The Inn now has a beer and wine license.
