Perfect Tan

I was a member of a near by tanning salon for over 3 years and finally decided I needed a change. I had heard about Perfect Tan and figured why not, give it a try. And I've have been completely satisfied! Not only based on the above mentioned "Pros" but it's a pleasure going into the salon and being acknowledge by a friendly staff. I can only attest that my experiences at Perfect Tan are worthy of a positive review and a recommendation to all my fellow "Tanners". This is the salon to go, I wish they had a location in the South End!

I came in during a visit to Boston wanting to get a spray-tan. I was ignored in the beginning by the man at the desk. All he was doing was folding towels and I was the only one in the place. Then, after someone had helped me in a spray plan (which at the time I thought was a good idea) I went into the booth. Another female employee came in and sprayed me down. About 2 hours later my color finally started to develop, only to show lots of blotches. I know I exfoliated correctly since I was beat red when I was done. it took almost a week for the tan to finally fade, and the dark spots I had to use lemon juice on numerous times.

Needless to say, I do not support the "Best of Boston" review that I read...

Hi,
I used this tan service because of the comments that I found on this site. However, I found that many times my sprays were uneven. I was referred to the manager Rachel who was rude and unhelpful. She did not listen to me but interjected with comments like perhaps I had dry skin or did not wait long enough before showering. I was surprised since the staff was very friendly and she was so unhelpful. I would not recommend visiting this place.

Cons: Rachel was insensitive, rude and unhelpful.

Perfect Tan is the best tanning salon I have been to in and out of Boston. Their prices are very reasonable. They care about their customers and make sure you are fully informed of the best way to achieve your desired look. I have yet to do the Air\brush but I have seen it done and it looks absolutely incredible. Very natural and gives you a beautiful glow. The staff is not only friendly and well educated but the girls are very attractive as well as the boy who works there. I would recommend Perfect Tan over Darque Tan, Campus Tan, and Newbury Tans ANYday. Go check it out!

Pros: Lamps changed often, pretty/friendly staff

Cons: Gets a little busy during the school year but definitely worth the wait.. plus you can always upgrade!

I went to Darque Tan first and decided that their tanning salon definetly wasn't for me, so based on the greatt reviews I headed to Perfect Tan. I found I wasn't disappointed. They woman who signed me up wasn't pushy at all and didn't push any products at me. I would definetly recommend Perfect Tan.

I go to Perfect Tan every year for the spray tan. It comes out looking really good and very natural. You have a choice of whether or not to have the bronzer applied. Using the bronzer does give you a slightly orange cast, but you get darker quicker. I've been going for the past five years, and have been very pleased with the cleanliness, the courtesy of the staff and the attractiveness of the shop in general. The only downside is that it's not the easiest area in which to find a parking space.

I've never heard of getting an unlimited tanning package for just $18.95. I always do a two month package, and it doesn't damage my wallet. Located just across the street from the Babcock St. T-stop on the B line it is very easy to get to. Everytime I walk in to the salon I'm immediately greeted with a smile and seen to as fast as possible. From the day I started tanning here I knew it was a great place. The owners are present much of the time and talk to you as if they've known you forever. The staff is very knowledgeable and are always willing to help you out with choosing the right tanning bed or even the right lotion. The facility is very clean and the beds are always cleaned twice before each use. The salon just recently upgraded many of their beds, and they always maintain the bulbs as needed. If you haven't been you must go. Try it once and you'll be hooked on the Perfect Tan.

When I returned from my christmas vacation I was impressed to find that all the equipment was new. I've been going to Perfect Tan for about a year and enjoying their monthly rate, $19.00, which is the lowest I've found considering all the hiden fees at other places. The environment is relaxed and happy, the girls are friendly and smart, and the whole salon is clean and bright. This is the only place that I've gone in Boston where I always get results on my first visit. When I decided to do an airbrush tan for new year's I was a bit nervous but the staff was very helpful when answering my questions, and the girl that sprayed me, made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Not to mention the results were so natural, I think I'm addicted... Keep up the good work Perfect Tan, I'm hooked.

Cons: sometimes there's a line in the afternoon, so just go early in the day

As a college student it can be hard to afford a small luxury such as tanning in an expensive city like Boston, however, Perfect Tan has made it possible for college students to get a great tan at low costs. I have been tanning for over 4 years now and have encountered salons who have sky high prices and terrible beds. When I first came to Perfect Tan, I had no idea what to expect but it quickly became my top choice for tanning salons. Not only do they have great prices but they also change their bulbs very often. This I have learned is very unusual. When tanning at salons where I am from I have always noticed that it would take me a very long time to build a tan and I always thought it was just because of my skin type. Turns out it is because some salons wait forever to change their bulbs. Perfect Tan does not. They are always changing the bullbs in the beds to make sure their customers get the best tan possible. I was surprised when I first started tanning at Perfect Tan and I noticed color almost immediatly. Within two weeks I was significantly darker than I had ever expected. I am very happy with the results I have seen from tanning at Perfect Tan and would highly recommend this salon to everyone in the Boston area.

Tanning salon girls are known to be pretty rude, so you can expect the girls working here to be rude. Maybe that's an understatement...
Perfect Tan has several types of beds and tanning methods, but the place is old. Individual sessions are more expensive than other places and the beds are old and rusted. Music is provided by a set of headphones, old school.

You can find better places to go for same crappy service.

I have been a customer of Perfect tan for a number of years, having discovered them one day when I was on my way to a vacation in Florida in the dead of winter, and had my flight cancelled due to a blizzard at the last minute. They were terrific when I was in the worst possible mood. Over the years I have been inpressed by the steady upgrading of equipment, and their cutting edge spray tanning services. They have Mystic Tanning with a number of different settings and their airbrush tanning is absolutely terrific. (Particularly Francie.) These folks are efficient, on time, and very creative in thier packages, and service quality, particularly to and for regulars. In a service business that can be sketcthy, these guys are the best. Good equipment, good attitude, good value and prices, clean facility, and nice people. . . . and above all, The Perfect Tan!!!!!!

Pros: Good rates. First class equipment, Great Airbrush technicians, on time and squared away.

Cons: Only wish they were a little closer to downtown, but for those at BU it is perfect

Worst spraytan I've ever had! I was referred here through a few websites like this one. I made an appointment and there machine was broken. I received no call to tell me of this and I traveled 20 mins out of my way. Not even a sorry! I made another appointment and I came out orange and they missed the inside of my legs and the bottoms of my feet were black.

Pros: If you're going for the oompa loompa look

Cons: You look like a oomp loompa "orange"

I have been going to Perfect Tan for years. The flexibility of hours open is great. I also like the variety of tanning packages available, both for sunless tanning and tanning beds. The staff is very efficient, so even during peak times the wait is never long. Also, with the flexibility to upgrade your tan, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I have always been pleased with my experience at Perfect Tan.

I haven't been to perfect tan in a while.... It used to be good, but now its great! They updated what seems like well over half of the equipment. I used a new matrix bed a couple days ago and today I tried the custom airbrush spray tan. Both experiences couldn't have been better! I HIGHLY recommend making a visit!

Perfet Tan has gone really cutting edge with the new custom air-brush booth! I loved PT's Mystic Tan, but this is superior.- As much color as you want and the shade is beautiful! No problems with hands and feet! Because it is personally applied YOU can choose the level of tan.

These guys specialize in tans and do it the best that I have ever seen. This is not a beauty salon pretending to be a tanning salon. Tans are all Perfect Tan does. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly and good looking too! They have so many room there is never a wait and it is super clean! I've tanned all over the city and this place is the best! They have the new spray tan too.

Pros: Off Street Parking, Cute Staff, Good Hours

Cons: 2nd floor can be miss
