Reviews for Boston Ivf

Ratings_icons I have 5 beautiful kids because of them

Christina F.

Regaurdless of what some of these reviews say, Boston IVF is a great place! I have been dealing with them for years now and have had five successfull pregnancies all resulting in single happy healthy babies. Dr. Thornton was my dr for all 7 of my prcedures! She is very caring and a graeat DR, I would recommend her to anyone! When I had to meet with other Dr. is was ok, not as comfortable, but she was always kind and caring, and just about every nurse I ever had was very caring and professional. Even the lab techs were always kind and friendly towards me

Ratings_icons Boston Ivf is the worst

Anonymous K.

I find the staff to be very uncaring, they seem to have no sympathy for patients that they are treating. Things are very rushed. My followups were very hurried. The doctor did not provide a chance to ask questions. Calls were not returned. They don't willingly provide information, patients need to ask a lot of questions or do their own research.

Ratings_icons Problems with insurance and billing

Anonymous D.

Absolutely horrifying experience!!! Do yourself a favor and get IN WRITING exactly what is covered by your health insurance. We have Blue Cross and were told by Boston IVF that everything was covered only to get a MONSTER BILL 3 months later. GREAT DOCTORS... UNBELIEVABLE NURSES... but they are a BUSINESS FIRST and do not do a very good job with billing!

Ratings_icons Don't really like the nurses

sara h.

I have had 2 fresh and 2 FET's at Boston IVF. My biggest issue is that things can be quite "rushed". The nurses care more about checking the boxes than me as a person. I had Mona and I found her very patronizing and not very interested in answering questions (just do what we say and don't question!).

I started out with Dr Thornton and found her to be difficult to communicate with. I moved to Dr Bayer who was much better but still seemed to be trying to get me out of the door as quickly as possilbe.

I am going to try Newton Wellesley next - they are smaller and I might get more personalized care.

Ratings_icons Profit is more important that patients

Anonymous S.

My experience with Boston IVF isn't good. Infertility seems to be taken serious if patients are willing to jump onto IVF right away. Although there is a dorm center attached no-one is mentioning the fact that there might be alternative ways to conceive, or supporting IVF. Concerns, questions, or even remarks about side effects of the medication are handled very poorly, follow ups have to be initiated by the patient, and my doctor is very impersonal and uncaring, not open to alternative forms or respecting our wish not to do any aggressive forms of infertility treatments. Apparently patients that aren't willing to do IVF aren't interesting enough for the clinic. After all, we finally agreed to stop going there - infertility might be a profitable business, but there are human beings involved. Unfortunately, Boston IVF needs to be remembered of this fact.

Ratings_icons I found Boston IVF to be a factory. Rude nurses, uncaring staff

anonymous p.

I am literally sitting here afraid to call the nurse with a question for fear that she will once again be obnoxious and rude. I am shocked at the impersonal and insentisitive treatment I have received. There is no allowance made for the fear that comes with infertility treatments or the emotions that come from large doses of medications. I am amazed and sad, wish I could leave the practice but I like the Dr, it is the staff that seems to have forgotten that infertility is as stressful as having cancer, and they hold your future in their hands.... So sad.

Ratings_icons This office is great also

I also went to this office. Everyone I saw was very kind and caring. They take the time to listen and have lots of compassion. It is a clean and friendly envioronment. The only thing with this one is it is right off of a very busy road.
