Captain's Tavern

Hello all!_

I have lived in Adams, MA since 1995._ When my late wife, Sissy, and I moved up from SC, one of the most WONDERFUL experiences we had was finding Miss Adam's Diner._ The food was HOME COOKING at it's finest, and the prices were VERY reasonable._ And... well, you felt like you were HOME, and like you were cared for by most of the folk you met there... NICE! :)_ Several years ago, things went SOUTH regarding the people who owned/ran Miss Adam's Diner._ It ended-up closing, with the occasional re-opening that lasted only a few weeks at most, with assurances that SOON... SOON... well, SOON never happened. Miss Adam's Diner ended-up being CHANGED by new owners._ It became a HOT DOG place, with AWFUL tasting so-called HOT DOGS._ That lasted a few months then went bust; a GOOD thing._ Next, it was opened by some people trying to make us believe that LESS for MORE MONEY was a good thing, and the Italian version of their "Haute Cuisine" lasted for less time than the HOT DOG people..._ YEA! FINALLY, it became CAPTAIN'S TAVERN, and AGAIN it was meant to go POOF..._ so-so to bland food with not-so-much a good thing with the pricing._ FINALLY we have what is pretty much the way it was when I arrived on the scene, along with the name:_ Miss Adam's Diner._ HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY am I._ If any of you reading this would like to yak at me, please feel free to do so._ Just call and leave a message as to when to call back and the number._ If you have not experienced The Berkshires of my area, you REALLY don't know what you are missing... _ IT'S ALL GOOD!!!_

Miss Adams Diner is a 1950's throwback that serves excellent breakfast and has great service. The portions are good, the restaurant is clean and it is a family friendly atmosphere. Prices are moderate. They also serve lunch.
