Reviews for Kikuyama Japanese Steak House

Ratings_icons One of our favorites

My boyfriend lives in Dedham, and whenever we have a chance to go to Kikuyama, we take it! I feel as though the first reviewer and I have been to two completely different place, as this restaurant is clean, friendly, and best of all really, really tasty! The waitstaff knows us on sight, but even before they did, they were nothing but accommodating.

The grill experience is always fun, and the steak is always cooked perfectly. The portions are more than I can ever finish; we usually split a plate! As for the sushi, which is my favorite food, it is always fresh and always delicious. They have some really interesting rolls! HIGHLY recommended

Ratings_icons Sushi was delicious

Rachel R.

Although the restaurant was lacking some ambience, and was almost empty except for a few tables, I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious onion soup, crisp fresh salad with peanut dressing, all sorts of fresh sushi, and I even shared some of the hibachi grilled steak and chicken and loved that as well! The wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hibachi chef was very entertaining! I'd love to go back and sit at the sushi bar. I have been to Koto in Vermont, Nobu in Vegas, and lived in Boston for years, enjoying Jae's, Oishi, and Fugakyu. I was very impressed with Dedham's Kikuyama!

Ratings_icons Not Good for Sushi

Nino F.

Very smelly and dirty. This place is not a sushi restaurant. It is a TRANS FAT, fried and bad food place. Please do not try it for sushi! This is a Chinese restaurant not a sushi place.
