Kneeland added a second level to our home. They gave us a competetive bid and kept withing the cost, they set proper expectations up front and beat the anticipated deadline. They provided more than expected. The structure is sound, the work site was orderly and the follow up was excellent to be sure we were happy and our concerns addressed.

We hired them to put an addition with a new kitchen to our house 5 years ago. Where the old house meets the new you see a slope in the floor. I think the addition is sinking. They put no beams or columns in the basement, the joists just go the entire length of the addition. Even if this passed code, it should have been done differently. I wish I knew more about such things and could have known they were doing it all wrong. Also a deck they built outside the addition began warping as soon as they were finished. I think they use cheap green wood for everything that warps in our damp climate.

We didnt notice the slope in the floor for a few years so it must have slowly moved. By the time we realized how unlevel the transition from old to new was, the five years was up. When we complained about another problem right before the job was finished, nothing was done just excuses so we never called back and insisted because we had enough.
