The first thing that impressed me was the night clerk (night auditor perhaps?) Steve. We drove up from Richmond, Va and had planned to get a cheapo hotel about half way then continue into Boston Saturday night. Well, there were no rooms available anywhere for under $150 on the way due to Prince and a few other big name concerts that weekend. About 4:00 AM we gave up and decide to just go on to Boston so I called AmeriSuites to see if they would be able to accommodate us. Steve answered and I can't emphasize enough how impressed I am with his customer service skills. He told us to come on in and he'd take care of us. We arrived at 6AM and he called it an early check-in rather than jack us for an extra night. Steve needs a raise.

The lobby is huge. There is a little sitting area with a couch and two comfy chairs in a U shape with a coffee table for chit chatting or waiting for your guests, and then a nice big area with numerous tables for their free breakfast buffet each morning.

There is a heated pool just down the hall from the lobby which we didn't have a chance to check out.

Parking is free and ample. Having a Handicap thingy, we parked right outside the front doors, but there is a lot out back, and a covered garage underneath which requires a room key to get into, so it's fairly secure.

We booked a suite with two double beds. These were together in the bedroom which was separated from the living room by a wall that had an opening rather than a door. This made it semi-private, but not totally. There was only one nightstand situated in between the two beds, but we made due.

Off the living room is a nice sized desk with two chairs for either eating or, as in our case, setting up your laptop. They offer free high-speed internet access (wireless) so no matter what your set up is, you're in business. We used it to death and had no lag issues whatsoever. Logging into their system couldn't be easier.

Not luxury, but great for families.

PROS: Great staff, reasonable rates
CONS: At these prices, none

The Amerisuites is a great hotel but the night we stayed in the Amerisuites in Medford square there was about 500 high school kids making all kinds of noise. There are more quieter floors I'm sure because we moved rooms to the first floor. They have a pool which is nice and for out of towners, the freeway is right there. I'd stay there again because the service was good.
