Mark Pearlstein and Joe White created Metro Realty Corp in 1984 with the vision of starting a new kind of real estate agency. They worked hard to develop exclusive listing arrangements with property owners, with the purpose of giving the owner maximum revenues and peace of mind. Rather than dealing with a myriad of agents and needing to sift through numerous applications, landlords working in partnership with Metro Realty Corp could deal with a single, reliable agency that acted as a consistent bridge between new tenants and themselves. Today, Metro Realty Corp ranks among the leading boutique real estate agencies of Greater Boston in the areas of both rentals and sales (as well as home renovations). Over the years, Metro Realty has been recognized for its passion for fairness, its commitment to providing creative solutions and its expert knowledge of the marketplace.
Above and beyond
by erinkott
Michael Pallares helped us sell our house in 2008 in a dismal market. When nothing around us was selling Michael never stopped working to showcase our home. He held open houses almost every weekend and worked tirelessly with buyer's agents in the community to see that our home was first on their list of showings. Even when we moved away before our home sale closed Michael attended to every element of the closure, i.e. inspection, appraisals and repairs, and kept us apprised of every detail, ensuring a smooth transaction. Our final impression of Michael as a real estate agent, and as a person in general, is one of complete integrity. We are so grateful and would recommend him to anyone.
Pros: dedicated, professional, knowledgable, easy to work with

Highly recommend Michael Pallares
by sjohapp
We recently purchased our first home and are absolutely delighted with it, thanks to Michael Pallares's invaluable work as our broker. As first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions. Michael was extremely knowledgeable and a great resource to us as we figured out exactly what we were looking for, and in guiding us through the entire process. He had a real knack for picking out places for us to see that fit our needs and style (for both of us - no small feat!), and was always accessible and prompt by phone and email, getting us in to see new places, and following through on every detail, always with a great sense of humor and patience! It was a real pleasure getting to work with Michael, and we look forward to working with him again in the future, though not any time soon; we love our new home!

awesome care from a realty corp.
by Kathleen Jara
Metro Realty and agent Jason Kaczmarczyk in particular were extremely helpful and enthusiastic while I desperately attempted the apartment search at the end of August. Despite the late date, Jason found a great apartment that had absolutely every requirement I'd thought of and more, while staying within my small budget. I felt it was superior service and I highly recommend Metro Realty to anyone looking for a home, rather than simple housing. It has changed my opinion of Boston realtors completely. Metro Realty showed a true concern for whether I got what I wanted or not, and whether I was actually HAPPY with the outcome. Thanks.

great agent

Michael was great. He did everything to help my wife find a house. He did not waste our time looking at houses that were not within our parameters - knowing that we were on a tight deadline and had only a limited amount of time to look.
Pros: extremely helpful for the out of town person looking to buy

Michael Pallares is a gem!
by Blankman
Michael is fantastic! He helped my wife and I find an amazing place that we brought to a close less than 5 weeks after we started. From the beginning I was sending him updates on what we were thinking only to find him online late at night narrowing down a list of homes for us to see.
I can be a demanding client. I have a background in RE and knew what we were looking for and I don't like to waste time. Within just a few home visits Michael was able to listen to our comments and quickly start showing us one great option after another.
When we did ultimately find "the one" he went above and beyond, picking up the ample slack when the other agent or vendors dropped the ball to keep our deal on track. Not only do I highly recommend him, I will definitely use him again if I buy or sell anything in eastern Mass. I was lucky enough to get referred to MP through a friend and I feel compelled to do the same because he is a rare gem in an industry filled with rocks... =) You won't be disappointed.
Pros: Rare exemplary professional

Great, professional team
by jsiegel
Michael Pallares is simply the best real estate agent that I have ever worked with. He is professional, knowledgeable and incredibly nice. With his help, we were able to find -- and close -- on what I consider to be a great condo -- and all within 60 days and at a very reasonable price. I found out about Michael through this website, and I think that finding his contact information was the best thing that has happened to me since I decide to move to Boston.
Pros: Michael Pallares

by bluejay68
Just wanted to leave some positive feedback for one of Metro Realty's stars - Michael Pallares. Michael represented us with our first home purchase and we are thrilled with the result. He was very patient with us and all of our questions and helped us find a terrific house. We would highly recommend him.
Pros: Fast responses, thoughtful, good negotiator

Michael Pallares - Great Realtor
by RichHendry
Michael took us under his wing and we found the perfect house at the perfect price in the perfect neighborhood, even though we knew nothing of the area. Not only that, but Michael provided much needed references for other professionals like the real estate attorney who equaled his professionalism. For people who are new in the state, finding Michael has been a tremendous benefit.
Pros: Professional and Patient

Heidi Shenker - very helpful realtor!
by KellyCarter
My two roommates and I were in search of an apartment in a very limited time frame (less than 48 hours). Heidi truly did her homework before showing us apartments. It was quick, easy, and enjoyable (for something that can be so stressful!). She knew exactly what we were looking for and showed us some awesome apartments. Though we did end up finding another apartment through another company/realtor, Heidi was amazingly professional and helpful even after we left the office. We wish we could have found our apartment through her because she was the best realtor we saw all day!
Pros: Really does her homework; makes the process easy & enjoyable

First-rate service with Michael Pallares
by gaboroku
We chose Michael Pallares, from Metro Realty, as our buyer's agent because he had excellent reviews. And he more than lived up to the expectations.
As other reviewers have mentioned, Michael is incredibly responsive, and he knows all the steps of the home buying process back and forth and will explain to you any details you want.
With Michael Pallares you not only get a real estate agent, but a first-rate real estate *team*. We did our shopping at the beginning, but at some point we decided to simply follow Michael?s recommendations (lender, attorney, inspection, even contractors after closing), and we?ve been extremely satisfied.
Michael Pallares has outstanding communication skills. You will notice soon that he has a gift for conversation, but his gift to listen, and to understand your unspoken reactions is even greater. We always appreciated and weighed in his advice, but we also appreciated the fact that he would let *us* make the decisions and set the pace.
Just to give you an idea of whose interests Michael Pallares has in mind (yours or his), here is part of our story. The negotiation for our apartment got stalled at some point. We had made our last offer; Michael had originally suggested a higher final offer, but he realized we were reluctant, and he didn?t insist, even though that could have ?sweetened? the deal. The deal seemed to be broken that evening, and we were ready to walk away. The sellers called the next day, to say they would take our offer. Michael called to let us know, and said: "I told the sellers' agent that my recommendation would be that you go and see this other unit that has similar characteristics and that just dropped the price yesterday, before getting back to the sellers with a decision." And that?s what we did, but we didn?t like that other unit as much. So we called Michael, and told him we wanted to move forward, and everything worked out well from there. But we really appreciated the fact that Michael was ready to put that offer behind, and start all over again, had that been our choice.

Michael Pallares is the Best Realtor in Boston!
by alk39
Michael Pallares was referred to me by a friend after my first experience with a different realtor didn't work out. What an absolute pleasure Michael was work with. I felt that at ALL times Michael Pallares had my best interests at heart. He was not just out for the sale. He helped me find a place that is just perfect for me in my price point. He was very knowledgable and helpful about the process and he streamlined everything . Super -super organized and ethical. Very professional. Michael likes things done right. What is so impressive about Michael is how thorough he is. He sends emails, he follows up with phone calls. He stays on top of all the details. I couldn't have asked for a better realtor. Or one that was more fun. Life is short, why not have some fun in the process.
Pros: Organized, ethical, knowlegable and great to work with
Cons: The guy makes me laugh too much-- is that a con?

Attention to detail top notch!
by tbeckwith
Michael Pallares of Metro Realty Corp. was highly recommended by a friend and it didn?t take long for us to figure out why. After a number of phone calls and emails about prospective properties, we headed out with Michael on a rainy Sunday to see 7 houses. The last home we saw was the perfect one for us ? but unfortunately many other homebuyers thought the same. Michael had recommended we see any home we wanted at least twice, so he arranged for us to visit it again the next morning. He also made a suggestion we had never heard before: He advised us to write the homeowner a personal letter expressing our love for the home and how we envisioned our lives in it. After we confirmed our choice, Michael sat at our dining room table that afternoon drafting the proposal and personally delivered the documents to the homeowner. That evening, he called us with the news: Although we did not have the highest bid, we got the home. Why? The letter! As if that were not enough, Michael visited us on closing day. Our infant son was in the hospital and all the procedures had to take place there so Michael wanted to make sure it all turned out OK. It did, thanks to him.
Pros: Great Personal Service

Susan Carroll- Professional, Dedicated, Personal and Gets the Job Done!
by KDCC
We worked with Metro Realty to rent an apartment in 2007 and to purchase and renovate our first home in 2008. In both experiences we were extremely satisfied with their professional and dedicated staff. In particular we had a wonderful experience with SUSAN CARROLL, our buyer?s agent.
We entered the home searching process as novices and Susan helped us with many of the aspects that we didn't quite understand. Susan was an absolute professional and truly cared about getting us the best outcome. After closing, Susan continued to work with us as we renovated. She recommended highly qualified and professional contractors and helped us arrange times for them to do the work in our home and negotiated fair pricing for the work they were to complete.
We strongly trust and would HIGHLY RECCOMEND SUSAN CARROLL and METRO REALTY to renters, buyers and renovators. SUSAN was an instrumental, professional and trusted voice as we moved toward the purchase of our first home.
Pros: Professionalism, Knowledge, Experience, Talent

Susan Carroll Best of the Best
by MichaelKOConnor
My experience with Susan was wonderful. She is knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful. I was a first-time buyer and she made the entire process comfortable and exciting. Susan was alway available and responded to my e-mails within hours. She was willing to speak to me past business hours after I got out of work around 9 p.m. and always willing to work around my crazy schedule. I would recommend Susan to anyone and everyone looking to buy/sell. I absolutely cannot say enough about her service. Please e-mail me for further information, I'd be happy to share!

I recommend Susan Carroll wholeheartedly!
by epfoster
Susan Carroll helped me sell a condo this year and I was continually amazed at her commitment and dedication. I knew I'd picked a top notch realtor when I once locked myself out of the house at 10:30 at night and she came over with a smile on her face to let me in.
Then I had to move out of town while my unit was on the market and Susan filled in for me in every way, from bringing in contractors to make some repairs to clearing out the last of my belongings before closing. She even drove to the offices of the other owners in the building to get their signatures on a closing document. I don't know how I could have made it through the process without her!
Susan repeatedly went the "extra mile" and handled everything with integrity and professionalism.
If I ever return to Boston, she will be the first person I call!

Susan Carroll was the absolute WORST experience of home buying we have ever had
by Murph4
I'm sorry to say, but although we were moving for the happiest of reasons, she was the absolute worst agent we have ever worked with. We had so wished we had not signed a contract with her so we could've terminated the relationship. She was clearly only interested in making a sale (she was our BUYERS AGENT), and we spend the entire time questioning where her allegience lain. I felt she was even dishonest at times ni order to have a buy a certain property. I would NEVER recommend her, and questions whether she should even be liscensed. For details, email me at Murthy199@hotmailcom
Cons: Also she led us to believe she was familiar with our area and she was not

I sought out Michael Pallares for a unique request. I desired a one-bedroom accessible unit in the Boston area. Within ten days he had the perfect unit for me, a great building, within my price range and the ability to be retrofitted for my wheelchair. I am very pleased with my purchase and the move was a breeze. The people are great in the building and I feel very safe, secure and near everything. What a find!

Thanks for making the process so... easy!
by newhomeowner84
What a great way to buy your first house! Metro Reality made the home buying process so easy I could not believe it. The thought of buying a home has always overwhelmed us. However, our Realtor really took the time to answer our 100,000,001 questions (many of which were the same question... just a different format!). He really spelled out the process from start to finish, explaining each step of the way. Our Realtor really had our best interests at all times. He would often point out things along the way that we had not thought of (in the long run saving us a lot of time and aggravation.) He is very well versed in real estate business and his customer service skills are unparalleled.
One of the other benefits is that Realtor at Metro, had relationships with both a lender and lawyer. This really helped with the flow of communication allowing the process to run as smooth as possible.
We highly recommend Metro and we will use them again the next time we are ready to move on to a new location!
Thank you Metro!
Pros: great knowledge, great customer service, dedicated, great follow up (before and after), flexible with showings

An Actual Pleasent Realty Experience
by MichaelaD
My roommate and I made the decision to return to the Boston area from Washington DC in January. I was finiahing up a graduate degree and he was looking forward to a change of scene. I had previously lived in Boston for 10 years and thought I had been through the best and worst of the rental market that Boston had to offer. However, Adam Umina at Metro Realty was by far the best agent I have ever dealt with. He was completely patient and understanding of the fact that we had to do this over a long distance and at a tricky time of year for anyone who is seeking tenants or apartments in a College Place like Boston/Brookline. He always kept in touch, sent tons of pictures, even escorted my mother and sister to see some apartments in our place. He said he intended to find us a place and that is exactly what he did. He was trustworthy, accommodating and above all NICE!! It was a great experience. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a new place in Boston/Brookline
Pros: friendly, knowledgable, accomodating

Susan Carroll is the Best Realtor in Town
by TracySS
Several people at my office had worked with Susan and recommended her so enthusiastically that I decided to call her when I needed to sell my condo. I had never sold anything before but I felt comfortable about working with her from the start. She handled a million details and answered a million questions with professionalism and patience. She always did what was best for me even if it was inconvenient for her, like personally bringing documents to my office for signing. When there was an electrical problem in my kitchen, she brought her electrician to fix it. When one buyer had trouble getting a mortgage, she soon found another. I will definitely call Susan Carroll when I am ready to return to Boston, and I recommend her without reservation.
Pros: Nice looking, comfortable office with parking nearby.

Ask for Michael Pallares at Metro Realty
by mwh685
Michael Pallares helped me buy and sell my Brookline condo and also helped me and my husband buy a new house in Dedham. Michael is honest and straightforward, patient, and is amazingly prompt and proactive. He rapidly responds to calls if he doesn't answer his phone directly, which he does most of the time. Michael has many hidden talents that have shown up over time. He can refer you to a mortgage specialist and lawyer (an advantage for quick closings); he is a talented interior decorator who can make a room look great for selling; he does his research regarding how much a condo is worth, and is able to give referrals for movers, house cleaners, kitchen redecorators, etc. He gives advice when asked, but does not push any property on the buyer. When I started 3 years ago I thought I'd drive Michael crazy by asking to see so many condos and systematically rejecting each one until I found "the one." It probably did drive him crazy, but he was remarkably kind and patient about it. In my searches for condos and houses I have observed many realtors in action and have always been thankful that I found Michael. He's a truly talented, honest, and kind person - who also has a great sense of humor - and I recommend him highly.
Pros: Everything - he's great
Cons: None

Reliable, attentive service led to very smooth transaction
by dskaletsky
I used Michael Pallares to sell a condo in Brighton and was very pleased with the service. Most real estate agents are attentive at the beginning of a transaction, but disappear as it drags on. Michael remained attentive and active through the entire process. He held several Open Houses on the property and was able to attract two buyers in what was supposed to be a down market. He also handled some sticky issues with the condo association with professionalism. I felt confident in Michael throughout the transaction.

Michael Pallares at Metro Realty did a great job
by kmsheh
My husband and I just bought our first home (a condo). Right at the beginning Michael met with us for almost 2 hours on a Friday night and patiently answered all of our questions about the homebuying process. It's obvious he has a lot of experience. He helped us navigate through lots of viewings, and he was great about organizing everything to make sure we got to see the places that we wanted to see. He's easy to reach by phone or email. I appreciated his honesty and sense of humor about the homes we saw (my husband and I selected a few questionable places to look at...haha!). We also worked with the bank Michael suggested and they were able to help us close quickly on our place. It's a big deal to buy your first home but Michael made everything go smoothly.
Pros: He's very organized and friendly!
Cons: I think he was a little bit new to housing in Cambridge...but it didn't seem to stop him

Metro Realty: The Best!!
by VMahillon
I cannot rave enough about this place. My buyer's agent was the most friendly, honest, and professional person I could have asked for - taking calls on Sundays, driving 30 miles out of town to meet me, you name it. They do whatever they can to get the job done without inconveniencing you at all. Believe me when I say there is no better place in the greater Boston area for you to handle your real estate affairs. Metro Realty is without a doubt the place to go!
Pros: Availability, Honesty, Courtesy, Efficiency
Cons: None Whatsoever

Good firm, choose agent wisely
by Bosstown
The office is beautiful and the office seems organized. Considering an area prone by pyramid scheming agents, which feed off the local college students the boutique is top class. However, my broker was a complete daft. He didn't make me a copy of the lease, took days to respond to my phone calls, whined when I told him my availability, offered no advice or guidance, had no general acumen in treating people as clients and was generally immature. All that for a 2000 broker's fee!

Buy a home with the best!
by rockstarDO
If you are looking for a realtor who will provide you with outstanding service, I would highly recommend Michael of Metro Realty. My wife and I were planning on moving to Boston from another city. We were skeptical of how we would find a home which fit into our specific needs from so far away. However, once we contacted Michael our worries were gone. He spent many hours with us on the phone determining our desires and offering us a ton of advice along the way. He was extremely familiar with all the neighborhoods of Boston and was able to direct us towards the once that would be the most desirable for us. We scheduled a weekend to come out to Boston to look at some homes we had chosen through Michael's daily updates he would send us over email and through his website.
Again, we were unsure of how hectic this weekend would be, but Michael made everything run very smoothly. He picked us up where we were staying, 30 minutes outside of Boston, and then proceeded to show us about 15 homes aorund Boston over 2 days. He had the days very organized and worked with us to help us find our perfect home....which we did!
More importantly, I was admitted to the hospital over that weekend, so he traveled 30 minutes to the hospital multiple times so we could sign all the documents. He was amazing through the entire process.
Therefore, if you want a realtor who knows Boston and the surrounding suburbs, will work with you like a part of the family, be available for you any time you want , and always make you feel like you are his only priority, Michael at Metro Realty is who you should contact.
Pros: Honest, friendly, respectful, professional, and importantly, they get you what you want!
Cons: Are you kidding---they are fabulous!!!

Face It.
by dcdesign64
As a first-time homebuyer, I was apprehensive about navigating the real estate waters. All I ever heard from others, was what a "nightmare" home buying can be. Michael Pallares is someone I've gotten to know fairly well over the past few years as he was a client of mine. The tables were turned when I decided that for a first-time home purchase, it was to my advantage to "work with what and who you know." Because of this advantage over most, I can whole-heartedly support the many positive reviews of Michael on this site.
I've come to know Michael to be a most articulate, well-mannered, and knowledgeable person. He is someone that truly enjoys his chosen career and that in of itself, separates him from the pack. I tend to feel that (and I realize I may be generalizing here) many real estate agents view home selling as a business transaction only. Michael is actively involved and treats it more like a team "road trip," stopping along the way to explain what I may expect to take place at any point on the "drive" to my new home.
He views clients as an opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with them. His patience over the course of 5 months is remarkable. Even I was becoming convinced that what I was looking for didn't exist out there in the price range I was most comfortable with. His ability to synthesis the parameters of what I was looking for in a first new home was solid. Based on what I told him I was looking for, how I wanted to approach the search for a new home, Michael catered the search to my needs.
Michael's deep professional network (lending companies, banks, attorneys, home inspectors, area businesses, etc) made it so much easier for me to get in touch with resources I needed. Because he only works with people that he himself would (or has done) business with, you know you are getting a trusted recommendation!
Calling Michael @ Metro will be the best thing you can do for yourself when you are ready to shop for a new home.
Pros: Personable team player. Wants you to get the best investment dollar for your home.
Cons: NONE

Dishonesty will come eventually
by stevebu
I like to echo the comment about dishonesty. Although being an agent is a tough job and require some flexibility, my experience with them has been very unpleasant. My calls were often ignored and when I was on vacation, certain actions were taken without my consent or best interest. I would stay away from these guys like a plague.
Pros: Great office in good location
Cons: Everything else

Michael Pallares Did It All
by ag47
Michael helped me find a lovely new townhouse condo, despite the extremely limited window I had with which to find a home to buy. Michael responded immediately to my initial inquiry, we spoke soon thereafter and he "got" what it was I needed and wanted, then he emailed potential properties for me to consider more quickly than I would have thought possible. When I flew into town he met me at the airport, with water and snacks at the ready. Because of my time constraints and other demands, this could have been a very stressful experience--especially when we throw into this mix the fact that this was my first home purchase ever. However, it went off incredibly smoothly and without a hitch, because Michael was coordinating all involved parties and made everything seem quite easy. Give him a call--you'll be happy you did.
Pros: Service, knowledge, immediate grasp of what I wanted.
Cons: None

Work with Michael Pallares @ Metro
by sjeinjp
I recently purchased a condo with the help of Michael Pallares at Metro Realty. His expertise, professionalism, knowledge, and experience were clear from the first day I met with him. Michael took the time to listen to what I wanted in a property and select the ones that fit my description. The first day we met to look at condos, Michael took extra time (about a half hour) to sit with me and talk me through the process of looking for, financing, purchasing, and closing on a new home. Being a first-time homebuyer, this was a breath of fresh air that helped make this process enjoyable and educational. Michael works tirelessly to be an advocate for his clients, no matter how long the process takes. He does not want his clients buying a property unless it is a good fit. Once I settled on the condo I wanted, Michael was involved from beginning to even past the closing, helping me figure out even the smallest details. Knowing how busy my schedule was, Michael took the time to make phone calls on my behalf to the sellers, mortgage brokers, and other people in order to make the process go smoothly. Perhaps the highest praise I can give Michael is that I have already referred friends to him, telling them that they simply MUST use him when they look for a new place in Boston. Michael continues to email me or call to check how my move is going and to see if I need any other help. I can't think of many people who can claim that they will stay in touch with their realtor after they have already moved, but I will do exactly that with Michael. If you are moving to Boston, and are looking to buy a new home, your first and only call should be to Michael Pallares at Metro Realty.
Pros: Professional, courteous, responsive, available, knowledgeable

Metro Realty
by TracyUsedMetro
I liked using Metro Realty. Josh was very helpful and professional. I would recommend them to anyone looking for apartments in Boston. They have been the best company to work with so far, and I have previously used First Choice Realty, NextGen Realty, Jacob Realty and Modern Realty and have had a least a few problems with each. Metro was professional and caused no problems and helped us move in within a week. Use them or get screwed over...
Pros: no realtors fee at our apartment, professional, no lying involved
Cons: the apartment we ended up with was more than i wanted to pay, but well worth it. they only show the best.

I had been looking for apartments online and was having no luck so I decided to go with a broker. I found Metro Realty on city search and decided to give it a try. It was the best decision I could have made. I found the apartment of my dreams just after seeing one other apartment. The staff at Metro Realty have a good read on their clients and can quickly tell what they are looking for. Also, the staff at Metro are extremely friendly and accommodating. They will stay late or come early to show you your apartment or sign papers. I would highly recommend Metro Realty and I would definetely use them again!!
Pros: A friendly informative staff!

Call Cari at Metro Realty if you are looking for a new place to live
by maz9802
For people familiar with finding an apartment in the Boston area, you know the process of seeing the same bad apartments over and over again with the often shady and pushy real estate agent you can't wait to get away from. This is why when I decided to move to Brookline, I was so happy to find Cari at Metro Realty. She was very professional and personable, asked me the right questions to narrow down what I was looking for and showed me the kind of apartments that I was hoping to see. She really worked to find me a place that suited both my needs and my budget and made the process easy and fun. Highly recommended!
Pros: professional agents and great selection
Cons: None for me

Worst Realors I've ever had to deal with - AVOID
by ericwilliams40
There is one realtor who I've recently had to deal with here who has acted rashly, dishonestly, unfairly, and vindictively. I would be wary of any dealings with this particular person and the firm in general. I was not a client of the firm, but they were helping to fill an apartment I'd recently vacated. They acted without my permission in advertising the incentives I was willing to offer to new tenants. This person wrote a vindictive note about me to the landlord which was unwarranted and untrue. There is poor communication within the firm and they acted obviously with little care about their own reputation as a fair and independent realtor.
Pros: I would never ever deal with this firm again.
Cons: There is one realtor at this firm who is dishonest and vindictive

Definitely call Metro Realty first
by dtom
I planned to move here from Michigan after Law School and needed a place to live. I had an 120 lb Mastiff and a cat and we all needed a place to live in Brookline ... one week after finals ended. Everyone told me I'd never find a nice place with my pets. I called Metro Realty and was in a Brand New apartment, in a totally pet friendly building in three days. I then moved years later and called them again. They found me a place on the 7th floor of a high rise on Beacon ... with parking ... again, in a unit that was completely renovated. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to live in Brookline.
Pros: They have relationships with the best property owners in Brookline

Susan Carroll is terrific
by ithoft
Susan Carroll at Metro Realty is a terrific agent. She's a pleasure to work with - professional, calm, funny and was on top of every step of the process. We had to move out-of-state before our house was sold, and I felt reassured knowing that Susan was taking care of things on the Boston end. She did a wonderful job steering us through what can be an incredibly stressful experience. I would highly recommend Susan Carroll and Metro Realty.

Metro and Michael for two perfect moves
by ggreenou
I rarely take the time to review a service unless I feel either extremely positively or negatively about it. Our experience with MetroRealty and Michael Pallares made moving to Boston amazingly effortless and pleasureable. He easily accomodated our schedules (coming from out of town), spending a considerable amount of coordinated time exploring the listings, the neighborhoods. He knew the city demographics very well and had an innate sense of where we would be most comfortable. Michael was a strong advocate on our behalfs, even meeting me once at 6am to ensure something had been fixed! His calming demeanor and thoughtful analysis of our housing options diffused any anxieties and concerns when we made our final decision. That was nearly three years ago. When we moved within Boston this year, we didn't hesitate to again enlist Michael's help. Sensing a slower market, he "pulled out all the stops" to make it happen (multiple open houses--even on a holiday weekend, professional brochure and website, follow-ups on every lead). We could not be more enthusiastic about our realtor, Michael Pallares, and our realty, Metro, for both of our moves!
Pros: Knowledgeable, spent plenty of time, accomodating, reasonable
Cons: none

Second to none.....
by oldnslow
We had the opportunity of having Michael Pallares help us in finding our home and it was a pleasurable experience right from the outset. Being first time homeowners can be daunting.Having Michael not only to show us real estate, but, to make valuable suggestions about hidden costs and unforseen expenses was a money saver. There were several occasions when I wanted to jump in and get my feet wet and he would gently ease me back to reality of the potentially costly endeavour. With his extensive network encompassing the larger part of Boston we found our dream home in no time and will most definitley retain his services for our future homes.
Pros: Excellent customer service

It was scary to go about finding my first condo but Michael Pallares at Metro Realty was able to reassure me so much that the search actually became a fun experience. Michael was very patient and not pushy. He was always on time, personable, extremely organized and had good recommendations. I'll be asking for his help in the future when I sell my condo.
Pros: Organization, low pressure sales
Cons: None

Wonderful Experience with Metro! Ask for Susan Carroll
by vezersky
My husband and I used Metro 5 years ago to find our apartment in Brookline. The service was great and we found the perfect place. This past year, when we decided to buy a condo, we went with Metro again...and couldn't have been happier. Susan Carroll was our real estate agent and she is absolutely the best out there!
She is so knowledgeable about Boston real estate and really helped us through the buying process. She was always there to answer any questions; without any added pressure. We couldn't have found the home of our dreams without her!
Pros: Great Service, Knowledgable Staff

Spectacular service. Ask for Michael Pallares.
by chrisburr
Michael Pallares was the Metro Realty agent that helped us move to Boston from Washington, DC. His service was spectacular. He took the time necessary to make us comfortable, and to hear what we were looking for. He spent extra time driving us around, and to show us a variety of real estate that met our requirements. H e applied no pressure, and we found a fantastic home with his help.
Pros: Unbelieveable service

Wonderfully Helpful and Knowledgable!
by jcoppedge
I was introduced to Metro Realty when I first moved to Boston 10 years ago. They helped me find my very first rental apt here. And they were there for me again 7 years later when my husband & I went to buy our 1st home. Susan Carroll at Metro Realty helped us every step of the way with the 1st time home buying process. She was knowledgable, patient, smart and extremely supportive during the entire process. We must have looked at 20 places before we settled on the one we bought! Susan was just amazing and we now consider her one of our good friends.
We would absolutely recommend Susan Carroll and the team at Metro for any real estate need. You won't be disappointed!
