I've been coming here for nearly a decade, however this place is turning more into Dave & Buster's every year. What that means is, the atmosphere is awesome but the food is barely edible. Aside from the awful food (cold steak in a salad, brushchetta that was just off, & charging for bread others provide for free) it's EXPENSIVE!
Oh, & they even gave us the wrong Dessert to boot. I'm literally never coming back.

good food..great family place..my niece loves the games there..gotta get fried pickles!! its not on the menu but if u ask they can make it for you!! oh and the chicken pot pie is delish!!
4I think that the food is good, better than your average family place. Onion strips=best ever. Good adult menu, but surprisingly lame kiddie menu. And of course the atmosphere would be loud, it's a KIDS RESTUARNT... The games are somewhat fun, but prizes are a rip off. (A stuffed animal for 1000-something tickets? Come on.) Wouldn't recommend for an adult evening out.

Friday night I went out to dinner with 12 people and the manager on duty refused to let in our friend, Chris because his MA license had expired 3 days earlier. Chris is 37 years old! Not to mention there were children dining inside at the time. It is ridiculous that a man his age cannot even come into the establishment to eat dinner! I tried to reason with the manager for nearly 10 minutes with out making any progress. It wasn't until our entire party stood up to leave that the manager changed his mind and allowed our friend inside to eat with us (he was prohibited from drinking alcohol). The people in my party traveled from all over Massachusetts and Rhode Island for our gathering and for most of my group this was their first experience visiting the Charlie Horse. The whole ordeal was very upsetting and also embarrassing since I was the person who had suggested that we come to the Charlie Horse.

Pros: Good bands on Fri. nt.
Cons: Ridiculous ID policies
I will admit: Some people will enjoy the Charlie Horse. I, however, was a sad child, unwilling to enjoy pumping quarters into a video game machine whilst I waited for an underwhelming, expensive hamburgler.
2I stopped at The Charlie Horse one night to meet up with some friends, get a bite to eat and watch the Red Sox game. It looks to me like they've added about 15 new 50" plasmas, its got to be the best place to watch a baseball or footbal game in New England, great views from any where. They've also added a new outside patio with 3 large plasma tvs. To my delight, you could have dinner, a cold beer and a cigarette without leaving your seat. My wife who's a non smoker wasnt botherd by the smoke at all. Our meal was great, service was great and the staff was incredibly accomodating. i would reccomend this unique dining and entertaining experience for any sports enthusiast of any age.

Pros: TV's, sound system, food and service
The restaurant part of the Charlie Horse is nice, but as a nightclub the only reason people in Bridgewater go here is because it's a local bar with a dance floor and Boston is a pretty far drive from here. The only reason to really go to the Charlie Horse is if you want to play pool or run in to people you know. There is a college near by, so it will get crowded, just not with the right crowd. Most of the girls that come in look under 21, and dress cheap (like big girls in booty shorts with weaves and sneakers on) and the guys are usually in their late 20's, early 30's mostly staring at the underage girls. It is a sportsbar, so I agree to the "goldfish in a shark tank comment". Girls you will be approached by every sketchy guy in the place! The good part is that the drinks were good, and so was the DJ. Other than that, for the money you pay to get in, go in town and have a good time with guys who aren't sketchy or out to get with underage girls!

Pros: Good drinks. Good DJ.
Cons: Everything else...
I've been one to have my children's b-day parties @ The Charlie Horse and had a great time .But my husband and i had plans to meet up w/family and friends for a night out of dinner and drinks w/no kids .We arrived @ 7:00pm and had asked for a table for 8,our friends were all on their way.We were told we had to wait 50-60 min. So we thought we would go in to the bar and have a beer while we wait,However we couldnot do that because there were children at the bar no where to sit at all and mangement was well aware of it and still did nothing about it ( this whent on till 9:30pm)We finally were seated 1hr.&30min later where believe it or not they tried to seat all 8 of us in 1 booth. When i said there is no way we can all fit we were told we would have to go wait another hour or more for a table to open up( the table across from us was open and accomadated 10 ) My husband and the rest of had asked about this table for 10 we were told NO, thats for another party! We ended up getting that table after having to "fight for it "w/the staff after getting our meal &drinks we moved over to a smaller bar in the game room ,because the big bar with all the kids sitting at it had now became a dance club. That would have been great but there was so many people it was literallywall2wall with people .This time it was 10:30pm and Yes there was still kids in the game room and at the small bar.I thought this was illeagal, we were disgusted with managment and these parents!

Large bar, TV's everywhere you look, and plenty of games to keep you busy. Great place to watch sports. The only reason to eat here is if your more interested in getting rid of your kids in the game room than eating a decent meal. I have been there many times over the years (to meet friends) and have never had a good meal. Stick with the drinks - if you can get one. If you have to eat, I would just order some fries and call it a night. On the weekends, you can count on a police detail at the front door, a packed parking lot, and not a chance in h*ll of getting a drink at the bar. And ladies, if you like the feeling of being a goldfish in a shark tank . . . . this is the place for you on the weekends.

While many families may want to go there to just let the kids venture off to play games, it's no place for a conversation for adults. The games make it so noisy and if you desire to play a game of pool, you have to gamble that they might be open since they tend to like to rent out them to parties. Drinks are weak too.
PROS: close entertainment
CONS: noise

This is probably the best independent sports bar I have ever been to and second, in my opinion, to only Jillian's in Boston. This place is for the whole family. Games for kids and the kids in us. About 15 pool tables, there's 2 bars and a huge function room. This place is the complete package. See you there.

Pros: Inexpensive, Great Food, Tons of Room
A place you can take the whole family for a decent meal for an affordable price. Fun for all including bar, many TV's, pool tables, game room with prizes, 2 bars, live bands. A nice place to go out to eat.

Pros: call ahead seating, play while waiting, kids entertained
