Moving to Southie, my partner and I were on the hunt for a good breakfast location. There are quite a few to choose from but most come up empty. One of the exceptions is Mul's. I eat here most weekends and can say that this has become a favorite. If you are hungry, you will not be after Mul's. Try the #1 combo: pancakes, eggs, homefries, coffee and bacon or sausage for $7. There are some tasty muffins and cinnamon buns that will be warmed up upon order. Other highlights are the Mul's muffin (like an Egg McMuffin but better), raspberry almond french toast and blueberry pancakes. The service is usually pretty good and the staff can sometimes be on the verge of being overwhelmed. The servers are friendly, have a good sense of humor and greet you with a smile.

Pros: Well-priced, good food

Cons: lines on weekends, need to fix classic neon sign

Mul's is like a diner dropped in the middle of Southie. The menu is small, and all traditional breakfast fare, but the eggs benedict are a standout. When compared to it's across the street counterpart Amhrein's it is a little more down-to-earth.

Mul's has a moderately limited menu, but everything is delicious so... it's a fair trade-off.

The prices have crept up in recent years, but are worth it for delicious food in a classic Southie institution.

Worth a visit even if it's a little out of the way.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! Great service, Great food. Fastest breakfast ever, and tastes good too! Mul's is just what you need on a Sunday morning. There is usually a line, but it goes quickly, and is worth the wait!

I love Mul's! No matter what I get there it is delicious and hits the spot. The omelettes, poached eggs and pancakes are my typical order. The food is reasonably priced. The only drawback is that it is cash only.

If you need French Toast for breakfast, Mul's Diner is the place to go in Boston. A breakfast there will stick to your ribs and get you going for the day, good coffee too. One warning, no credit cards accepted so bring cash or use the ATM machine at the entrance (for a fee).

The general breakfast fare (eggs, pancakes etc.) is quality and good but a grilled blueberry muffin is the best item on the menu. A little pricey for diner food (about $25 for two people to go to breakfast) and always crowded.

At the foot of the Broadway Bridge in South Boston You'll find a qaint breakfast joint called Mul's Diner. It's claim is "the Best coffee in town" and after a night of "tippin' your elbow" I couldn't agree more. However, the coffee is just one of the offerings to tantelize your taste buds. I would highly recommend the eggs benedict with it's perfect hollondaise sauce and the bannana pancakes (not too soggy and not too bannanay). The wait staff is pleasant as well. No attitude, just great food!! You'll walk out with a smile, a satisfied belly, and few more dollars than you would expect to spend for such great eats!!
