I'm surprised to see this restaurant compared to The Border Cafe. In my opinion, they are world's apart, with On the Border being so much better! The food is flavorful, the salsa tastes fresh, the service was wonderful. It was just a great experience overall.

Pros: Great food, great drinks

Cons: Gets noisy and crowded on the weekends

I'm from California and have had truly delicous authentic Mexican food....so it's hard to eat Mexican anywhere else. This is a great place for appetizers and drinks...a great place to meet after work. Good margaritas....definitely try the Sangria Margarita...very yummy. Can get very busy there!

On the Border is easily my favorite local restaurant. As soon as you site down, they bring over a basket of homemade tortilla chips and homemade salsa. They are delicious!!! And theyll keep bringing more as long as you want. This restaurant has the best strawberry margheritas in the world, available in 2 sizes. The huge one is only $6.49 a great value for the size. Their entrees are delicious too, and relatively affordable. The only downside is that the wait can be very long, especially on a weekend night. They also have a section which is called the patio (its indoors but has big open-up windows) beautiful in the summer!!

OTB is my absolute favorite restaurant! I dine there atleast once per week. OTB has the BEST Chicken Flautas, Chicken Fajitas, and Salsa (you name it!) of any restaurant. The menu is large and detailed - there is something here for everyone! The portions are huge and I always have leftovers. Also, the atmosphere inside is unique, cultural, friendly, and deliciously aromatic. I just can't get enough of their food, and OTB is always my first choice when deciding where to eat. I gurantee that anyone and everyone will love it. You should expect a wait on Friday-Sunday nights, as it gets very busy!

Fresh chips and and excellent salsa (with great taste of cilantro and cumin) are always brought to your table when you arrive. They ahve a great selection of beers, including 11 beers from south of the border and Dos XX on tap. The food is good, but not extraordinary. Great value for the money. The atmoshpehere and decor is friendly and inviting.

Not mexican food but rather greasy, nasty, flavorless food. saying that this place serves good mexican food is like saying that pizza hut serves good italian spaghetti... they are both terrible.

Message from On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made right at your table. Everything pairs nicely with a grande margarita, and of course, enjoy the always endless chips and salsa.
