Tried the pizza while on vacation in Boston! It was very good with a very good sauce! I didn't like that the place was crowded, but the food was worth it.

The pizza is good but over-rated. The lamb and italian sausage from the grill (only for dine-in) was delicious the first time but never quite the same after that. Not worth the 20-minute wait outside in the cold rain, although there's always a line most days of the week. Most seem to go for the atmosphere of angry old Bostonians begrudgingly taking your order. While food is good, it's not worth the hype.

I went to Santarpio's for the first time with my son. I was very eager to try their pizza and sausage. What a bloody disappointment. They are overpriced, and the pizza is just ordinary. The staff is very unfriendly and unattentive. Santarpio's is not worth their hype.

By far and away the best pizza Ive ever had. Nothing compares. You absolutely have to eat it there or its no good. I dont know what they put in the sauce but its magical. No BS kinda place makes me love it even more. But be ready to wait on a Friday or Saturday night. Its been a family tradition for me to make a pit stop at Santarpios whenever anyone comes in from the airport. But its become a much more regular thing now. The grilled sausage is amazing, with the peppers and bread. YUM! Absolutely THE best pizza I have ever had.

This pizza has good crust and a good sauce. The day I tried it some of our pizzas were burnt, but I've been assured by my friend that was not normal.

Santarpios has - quite possibly - the best pizza in the U.S. Sounds extreme, but if you have not had it, you are missing out. The pizza is amazing. The sauce is unique and like no other you've tasted. The sauce is most likely the secret to the flavor. The ovens are wood burning or brick - not sure, but the crust is to die for. They also offer a sausage barbecue that is out of this world. They make their own sausage. It's a small joint like setting, don't let the atmosphere fool you, you won't try better pizza anywhere.

You looking for some real pizza? I'm talking the good stuff here. Santarpio's is hands down the best pizza i have ever had. I grew up goin to this place with my big italian family (although it was a little tuff to fit all of us in there) and make a point to keep up the tradition. However, if your looking for a nice sit down resteraunt, you might wanna move. Lets just say that tarp's has a .... um... a unique atmosphere. The walls are covered in boxing memorabelia and the place is a bit crowded. If you are looking for something other than pizza, lamb tips, or sausage then this place aint for you. But, if your in the mood food for one of the three, make your way over to Santarpio's in East Boston, beacause there is no place better.

This place is like the 80's...bi hair and tight jeans. The staff is rough and there's no b.s. unless your an Eastie resident and you've been there more than once. Everyone needs to go in and eat at least once in their lives, or at least go to the back entrance in the kitchen for your take out. Only downfall only cash and basically no menu but pizza, and grill.
