Restaurant food is good, but not very generous. We have been there twice, not sure if we will go back anytime soon. The pizza is also pretty tastty, but they are very scimpy on the toppings. Not really worth the money, but I have had worse. Overall, I have to give this an average rating. If they weren't so cheap on the portions and toppings, I would rate them higher. Pizza here is not a good value because of the lack.

Delightful experience. Best sauce (gravy) I've had since leqaving my Italian neighborhood in northern NJ 20 years ago. A bit out of the way (from Amherst area), but well worth the extra care that obviously goes into the food prep.

I've been there several times. The food is a pleasant surprise and I've been to Tuscany. The wine list can be trusted. The owner and waitstaff are attentive but don't hover. You don't have to find parking in Northampton to have a great meal!

Too expensive for the average quality. Better food at Village Pizza Southwick for 2/3 the price. 5 star reviews here must be posted by employees. Fair place to take a date. Nice atmosphere. Very attentive service. I fell for the ads boasting of expert chef cooking. I have no doubt the sauce for my fettuchini alfredo came out of a jar. There is a sauce going around the cost cutting italian restaurants that has a very sweet taste and void of any flavor of cream, butter and a fine salty parmasean cheese. I know the finest parmesean cheeses run over $12 a pound, but when paying $14 for pasta and sauce there is no excuse for cheap substitutes and its such a simple recipe. My wife had the same sauce on her chicken brocoli pasta and ended up with cramps at night. Maybe the tomato sauces are legitimate, but if I can't have good alfredo I never go back.

We had been wanting to try this for awhile, so we went in last Saturday night. The waitress was prompt to take our drink order and bring us a basket of italian bread and warm soft twisty breadsticks. The butter was soft and easy to spread, not frozen patties like alot of places give you. Our salads were small, but very fresh and not too filling before the meal. Our water glasses were always filled without us having to ask. My husband had one of the fish dishes, and I had the penne alla vodka. Both were excellent in flavor. Mine was presented really nicely, I felt my husband's fish dish could have been presented a little better, but he didn't complain. I had a half carafe of wine, which was more than enough. My husband finished off with a cappucino which he said was excellent. The owner visited our table twice, he was really nice and personable and definitely concerned to make sure we enjoyed our dinner. My only suggestion is they should have candles on the tables and while the waitresses are efficient, they need to be a little more personable. Thumbs up!

The food is recommendable but the owner is rude. I would use as take-out service and usually we were on the road and would have to use the facilities. The owner or manager was rude about that.

We really enjoy the food at buon apetito. It's authentic Italian and Mino, the owner and chef uses fresh herbs from his greenhouse and garden. They do not serve pizza in the dining room, only in the pizza parlor. If we bring the children, they just split a meal. Great value, delicioso! If it's not too busy, Mino will come to your table to chat and he always makes rounds to see if your dining experience is the best. That's the personal touch. The waitstaff is very friendly too. Try the sorbet for a lighter dessert, it's great. His Marsala sauce is very good. You can't go wrong and call to see if he still has the family dinner once a month. A 5 course dinner for one price! Buon Apetito!

Great food. It's out of the way and our first time there was very pleasant. The owner came over and was very kind. He asked us many times how everything was. Not the kind of service you usually get at the bigger restaurants, much more personal. This was a great dining experience

What a fantastic restaurant. I recommend sharing with the family their appetizers. Their antipasto is out of this world as well as their mussels. YUM! After you have had your dinner you are given a little Italian candy as well. Delicious! The atmosphere is great, too.
