i brought my dog for the 1st time just recently. couldn't figure out her problem there. went home, her behavior got worse. called the office, he prescribed anti-inflammatory meds. , for the pain. she didn't have pain. his office is hardly ever open, charges $18. to create a file for your pet. i called to see what a spay and de-claw price for a 5 mo. cat would be --$500.00. southwick animal hosp. is $306. and that includes vaccines. he should sell his practice to someone that will have better hours and not charge so much. $18. to open a file for your pet ? give me a break.

I have been taking my animals here for years and would (and do) recommend them to everyone. They very helpful and take the time to explain everything to you. Prices are reasonable.

He took the time to explain things to me. He was not in a rush to go onto the next patient, we were not just a number. He was compassionate and you could tell he genuinely loved animals. He made my dog feel comfortable as she was quite nervous.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Swenson and the hospital.

I find Dr. Swenson to be wonderful with the animals, but he really has poor people skills. Their office was nice and I like the separate waiting areas for the dogs and cat, but didn't like feeling talked down to.

This animal hospital is really compassionate about their work. They go out of their way to make both animal and owner comfortable. They are also willing to take the time needed for a visit and don't rush you out the door like you are just a number to them.
