5 Stars: Great food and great to the community (by kelle s.)

Everybody loves Redbones, but I avoided it for a long time because I don't particularly like BBQ; Recently I discovered the catfish fingers and can't get enough of them.

Redbones' commitment to the community is almost as impressive as their reputation for good food. They support many local organizations. Most recently Redbones sponsored the phenomenally successful ArtCards to raise money for art programs in the Somerville Schools. Redbones also supports the Somerville Homeless Coalition, MassBike, and NEMBA,

4 Stars: Best BBQ near Boston (by Paul C.)

I left Massachusetts in early 1998, and I'd never been here before my friends decided it would be the spot for my "going away" party.

Now I sometimes wish I hadn't left.

I ordered a pulled pork/pulled beef combination "with potato and onions", and what I got was a huge plate that could almost be described as a soup. The meat just melted on the touch, you couldn't really tell the difference between the pork and the beef, but it didn't matter, it was utterly delectable. I think I found one small potato buried under the ungodly sized mound of meat and sauce, and if there were onions, they must've dissolved...

Being a carnivorous "I-don't-like-green-things" kinda guy, I was in absolute heaven.

I've been living in the SF Bay Area now for 8 years, I can still remember that meal... And I know that I've never found its equal out here...

PROS: No real evidence of vegetables!
CONS: It's back in Boston, and I'm in San Francisco...

2 Stars: they don't take credit cards (by Carl W.)

I thought this was a good place. I tried to order some food for delivery. I gave them the whole order and then they tell me they can't take credit cards. That's crap. They're food is good but that's ridiculous.
