So if you never tried black pasta before, this is the place to go. It is tiny, and the kitchen literally takes up a third of the restaurant, but the food is great. I tried there oysters last time and they were amazing. Don't go to the one on the Wharf though. It has a stellar location, but the service is horrible

Nice little unique restaurante. The wait staff really seem to know their seafood and were helpful in making selections. They were also very friendly and sociable when we dined there. The food was excellent and I would recommend it to others.
4The first Daily Catch, and possibly the smallest--- but walking right into the kitchen really makes this a special experience. The people working here are amazing and the food is perfect.
5Small and informal, you practically sit in the kitchen. A great selection of seafood dishes. Never had a bad meal there.

Small, in fact, tiny...\r
dining room can accomodate MAYBE 15 diners... they do not take reservations and it is CASH ONLY.\r
The place is small, and there is usually only two people working the place, and one is cooking... \r

original and hidden in plain view, this small restaurant is a gem. they have a specialty of homemade black pasta which is wonderful. everything is made fresh and don't be surprised when your food is served to you in the pan it was cooked in!
5The atmosphere of Daily Catch is not that great given the price you have to pay. It seems a bit dirty and over-crowded. However, there are two dishes really caught my eyes, i.e. the black pasta and monk fish. I think for regular pasta,

Pros: Black pasta
Cons: pricey for the atmosphere
The Daily Catch is a local legend in Boston. Located on Hanover Street If you blink you'll miss this postage stamp sized jewel. The places has only four tables and the kitchen in right there, but the sea food is the freshest and prepared to mouthwatering perfection. Of course the specialty is fish, right of the dock prepare with an Italian flare. Look on the chalkboard because the menu changes everyday (Thus the "Daily" in The Daily Catch).
Pros: Amazing fresh food prepared in a tiny kitchen
Cons: Being small there is often a wait.

Very standard food that you could easily make yourself. Pasta with seafood and generic red or white sauce. Or just plain seafood with generic red or white sauce. Service is very bad for such a small restaurant. And we were there when

We went to the Daily Catch based on glowing reviews and were SADLY DISAPPOINTED. The Squid Scampi is ok but the squid seems not so fresh. The mussels in marinara sauce over pasta was the worst that we've ever had at any restaurant. The

Pros: At the touristy North End, convenient location
Cons: Mediocre food and surly staff
This is a real, honest-to-goodness open kitchen Italian seafood place in the classic North End tradition. No hoity-toity attitudes here, just delicious fish and seafood, fresh from the sea, served up piping hot. The Monkfish Marsala is my

Pros: Great food, fun atmosphere. A real North End experience.
Cons: Sometimes you have to wait in line to get a table.
The Daily Catch is my favorite restaurant in Boston and I'm a chef! I love the seafood fra diavolo and Mr. Lee's tuna special, not to mention the obvious fried calamari, squid ink pasta and stuffed calamari over linguine. After spending

I really miss the store on Northern Ave, it was my favorite ... but I love the food!
The Saugus location is good, but way to quiet. I don't get to the North End much now that I have young kids.
I absolutely LOVE the Swordfish

Pros: Great food, interesting atmostpph
Cons: bit expensive
When's the last time you ate your seafood out of a frying pan? It's cute, kind of kitschy. The prices are up there, but not too steep. We opted to split a salad and an entree, which worked out perfectly portion-wise. Their open kitchen
