In ShortThe shelves of this store are loaded with board games, role-playing games, strategy guides, puzzles and all the dice a Dungeon Master could dream up. (There are also plenty of brain teasers begging to be played with.) Worth a look are the Shakespearean and "Alice in Wonderland" chess pieces housed behind glass--and the vintage board games, such as Rich Uncle, a vintage kissing cousin of Monopoly.

This store is amazing! It brings me back to my younger days. The game selection is unbeatable and they can order anything you want. This was a fantastic find for me one day when I was cruising around Cambridge. I found a game I had been looking for for years! I would recommend this as a first stop for anyone looking for something fun.

This is an excellent games store. They have a very wide selection of games and puzzles and are happy to order anything for you that they do not have in stock. The store is closed most evenings, but I believe it is open one evening per week. This is one of the best games stores in the Boston area. It is located on Massachusetts Avenue, not far from Harvard Square.

CONS: Closed most (but not all) evenings

Getting tired of the same old board games? Then it's time to take a trip to this store. They have so many games it will be difficult to choose. How about Boston monopoly? Or perhaps Simpson's or bo sox chess? You name it, they probably have it. There are a ton of games you've never even heard of, but the staff will help you find something to keep youngsters of any age entertained

The Games People Play is a game store for adults! They carry all sorts of games from those annoying mind boggling puzzles with the rings that are stuck together to party games, trivia games, board games, etc. Of course they also sell the classic games and have a pretty nice selection of really expensive chess sets. They even have a chess set where each piece is itself a puzzle.
