what happened to this restaurant?
this was the best in fall river and it dissapeared overnight.
my friend told me he ran into a former employee and she said rumors were that the owners were working on another location and plan to be better and bigger, is it true?

As one who has lived in Calif for ten years, and traveled extensively through Mexico, I have had ample opportunity to enjoy this Latin country's cuisine on both sides of the border. When I first heard of Caliente some months ago, I was skeptical about a truly good Mexican restaurant in New England.
But I have eaten there three times, and can say without reservation that their specials are the equal of any Mexican dishes I have eaten, and are truly world class. .

PROS: Food preparation and presentation, atmosphere, and quality of service.
CONS: None come to mind, other than 'bring your own alcohol'

For those of you who would be leery of Mexican thinking it is spicy or over done this place is AMAZING. I love Mexican but my mom doesn't and she'll even eat here there are options for everybody. I go there all the time and fully enjoy my meal the plates are always full and there is usually some for leftovers. Whenever anybody asks for a good Mexican place I always recommend this place not only for the great flavors but for the variety and the value too. I is also very easily accessible both from Providence and the Cape. Call before you go though if you have the time to check to see if they aren't to busy you may have to wait a little bit but so worth the wait! All in All Just GO.

I'm not usually one for Mexican food, but I was convinced to visit this restaurant by a friend...and wow, its great! I used to think that all Mexican food wasnt good, but this place sure did change my mind!

Very Good Mexican food. Nice to have a choice and a bit of variety in Fall River. Their dinner plates come with a nice combination of food. I love their fresh made chips and salsa.
