Terrific Berkshire Weekend Getaway!
by Richard M.
Highly recommended, my wife and I visited the Stockbridge Country Inn last weekend for James Taylor and it was an amazing event, our guest suite accommodations were private rooms with canopy beds, those were a treat. It makes you think of that federal time period with a high touch of class to the antiques. The innkeepers and staff are fantastic, from the home made breakfasts on formal dining outside overlooking the front of the grounds while the birds are humming through was very romantic. Rooms were large, oversized bedding with his/hers robs, antiques throughout our room and the Inn. We were able to walk to the Norman Rockwell Museum right up the road, closest Inn to the museum which is great and not being right smack in the middle of main street Stockbridge either. Everything is very close while having easy access to Rte. 7 or Rte. 183 takes you straight to the main gates of Tanglewood, very quick. The overall scenerey was spectacular, our visit was amazing, and we will definitely be visiting The Stockbridge Country Inn again sometime this fall to see the leaves change!
