I've eaten at many Indian restaurants, and this is in my list of favorites. I was a bit apprehensive about the name, but the food took all that away. The restaurant's ambiance is nice, and the staff friendly. The curries are hot, so be warned! The taste is exquisite. We've been back several times, and will continue to go. Try them out!

The food at India Quality is great; the food truly does get very spicy though so this is something to keep in mind. The naan here is done extremely well. This is a good place to get traditional Indian food at a really good price.

This place is by far the best Indian food in Boston. The prices are reasonable, portions are good and the food is tasty. I love the naan bread and mango lassi. My husband gets a different chicken dish every time and I get lamb. We always leave happy.

We have always loved this place - right in the middle of Kenmore Square - delicious and reasonably priced. Even since we moved away from the neighborhood, we still make it a point to go back and it's still terrific - over 20 years later! Make sure you get the Behel-Puri appetizer - something different for an Indian restaurant.

I had the goat masala and it was amazing. We tried a few appetizers and they were also very good. Prices were reasonable for this city. I will eat here again the next time I am in town. Just plain old good indian food. Good sized portions too.
This is by far the best Indian food in Boston for the money (and I am Indian, so I have the right to say this!) We ordered their take out religiously and ate inside whenever we introduced this secret find to a new friend. The food is consistently excellent and the servings are plentiful. My boyfriend and I always fight over who gets the leftovers. I could understand why some people may walk right past the restaurant since it's garden level and doesn't seem too enticing I suppose they could relocate to Newbury St. and charge three times the amount while serving smaller amounts in fancy dishes (Kashmir - good, but overpriced since it's forced to be "upscale). They added another location in the Allston/Brighton area and although we lived over there, I still prefer the Kenmore location.
Pros: delicious Indian food, fair prices
Cons: parking during Red Sox games, seating during busy evenings
India Quality was my main stop for Indian food when I lived in Boston. Located close to downtown and Boston University, IQ has tastey food, as spicy or mild as you ask for, with a smallish, laidback, dining area that is still fancy enough that you might feel you should remove your Red Sox cap. The lamb tikkamasala is so tender. Try their kormas as well. They also have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Food is served in traditional Indian way. If you go in a group, you might want to order a few dishes and share. Usually no wait.
Pros: Great food. Nice ambience.
Cons: Not a lot of parking. Take the T.
When I need a good chiken tikka and saag mushroom, I call my friends at India Quality for take-out. There is no better restaurant in Boston. I recommend this to anyone who loves Indian food or wants to try it for the first time.
Pros: reliablly delicious, gracious staff
India Quality delivered food to me and my boyfriend outside of their usual dining in service, saving us a few bux. They were timely, and the food was so yummy!
Pros: fast, yummy
Tasty authentic Indian food that is reasonably priced. I love the vindaloo dishes. There is nothing like some pratha bread with some spicy hot curried lamb on it and some long grain rice. Great portions and ambiance (the outside of the restaurant makes it look decievingly trashy). Highly recommended.
I have to admit that the name turned me off for quite some time. A quality establishment shouldn't have to advertise that. I eventually tried it out as part of my quest to find the best Indian food in Kenmore. I would go so far as to say that I found the best in the city. Many flavorful options make it possible to order a different delicacy every time. I prefer the Aloo Palak, tender baby potatoes cooked in spicy green spinach. My boyfriend always picks the Chicken Muglai; he swears is the best meal he's ever eaten. Round out the meal with tandoori breads, basmati rice, and homemade chutney and you have yourself a true dining experience. Don't forget about the spectacular service... the waiters will make you feel instantly comfortable, the food is always out so quickly and your water glass will be constantly refilled.
Pros: good for the money, intimate atmosphere, speedy service
Cons: street parking only, no delivery
