Agostino Lombardi saved my hair!!! I had been going to another hairstylist for the past 6 years and after a friend mentioned my hair color was a bit off, I decided to try Agostino after reading about him in Allure Magazine. He totally fixed my color, so now my friends are raving about how healthy and shiny it looks. Not only did he fix my color, but is helping me grow out my hair- something I'd been asking my previous stylist to do for the past few years. Agostino is fabulous, and really paid attention to what I was asking for, which makes it well worth the one hour trip into Boston!

I read several favorable reviews for Studio for Hair, and since I had a coupon from my Collegiate coupon book I figured I would make an appointment. I decided to give my hair a full highlight and cut, and although I was quite unsure of what color highlight I wanted, Agostino was very helpful when I was deciding. He was able to just look at my hair's natural highlights and pick out an exact mix of hair color that matched it, only a bit lighter. He expertly treated my hair, and the result was fantastic. He also understood that I wanted a simple, ready-to-go style for my hair, and gave it a pretty and versatile cut. Not only was Agostino skilled, but he was extremely friendly and warm. The place itself was quite welcoming, which was nice for me as a new customer and it being my first time at a highly respected professional hair salon. It was well worth the money, and I felt absolutely no buyer's remorse. I recommend Agostino and his salon to anyone and everyone!

So I have gone to this salon once before because I read such great reviews. Got my hair cut by one of the stylists. Didn't particularly like it, but it wasn't bad. Decided I would like to give it one more go with a different stylist. So first of all, I can't get a hold of the place, it keeps saying this person's mailbox is full. I can't find their hours anywhere so i don't even know when I should call. I finally get a hold of the salon and I'm told that since I went there before I have to go to the same stylist. That it is company policy even though I didn't like my first haircut. Needless to say, with the most terrible customer service and the only barely acceptable haircuts I will never go there again and will never recommend it to anyone.

I love Agostino so much that I flew him to my wedding in southern Mexico. I lived in Boston for two years and he was the best thing about Boston. He is fantastic and cut and color, and taught me a lot about both, and he is a fantastic friend as well - I still send him Christmas cards, 4 years after I left Boston. He offered great advice about new cuts and colors that might work for me, and was very patient as I chose my hairstyle for my wedding and tried to make it work (I have very straight hair and wanted it wavy, which took a lot of doing!). I recommend him highly.

I heard about Agostino from a friend who raved about him. I've always liked her hair, so I gave him a shot and i absolutely loved the color and cut that he gave me. I have recommended him highly to my friends.

I read all the reviews before coming here. It sounded great! I just got a wash, cut, and style with the $25 coupon. Agostino cut my hair in 10 minutes. I wondered why it was so quick but then I realized that he had another client waiting for him even though I had an appointment. I asked for layers and a trim on my bangs. My hair looks so plain jane like it was just trimmed by hair cuttery. I'm so disappointed.

The very fact that I happily travel from the Cape to have my hair done by Antonio should be testimony enough, but I'll elaborate. I went to him about four years ago to correct a disastrous color and I've never looked back. He is truly an artist...both with color and cut. He "gets it" with a minimum of discussion, has a savvy sense of design, and masterful control of color. On top of these credentials, he is a really wonderful, funny, and warm person. He is punctual, generous with his time, and always interested. The test of a great haircut and color, is how many people ask where you get your hair done. On the Cape, that is followed by, "but of course you don't get it done here, I'm sure." Five stars for this salon!

I absolutely love the salon I went to get highlights done by antonio but I wanted them to look natural and he did an amazing job I loved them. He also does great hair cuts to but over all he is a really nice person as is everyone else in the salon and I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone and everyone

I heard about a hairdresser called Agostino Lombardi from one of my coworkers. She's always raving about what a wonderful hairdesser he is! I finally made an appointment and he was everything my friend said he was! I was impressed with the way he got to know my lifestyle and appearance and he used that to pick a color and haircut that enhanced my skin tone and facial features. What I also liked was that he actually listened to me when I told him what I would like my hair to do. I reccomend him highly!!

I've gotten the best color ever since meeting Antonio in 2005. People are still commenting on the gorgeous shiny brown he gave me after I "cheated" and got a horrible, dull, blond/orange color. He takes the time to really advise you, he's charming, attentive and extremely talented. I feel amazing when I leave - like I really look my best.

I went for a simple haircut and ended up with the worst hair I've ever seen. It doesn't even look like a haircut as much as something I would do to myself if I went crazy with a pair of scissors. Even styled it looked terrible and it didn't seem like Antonio cared. It was nothing like what I asked for and he didn't even seem to listen to me when I described what I wanted. It might have been a decent haircut for a 50 year old professional woman but I'm 30 and it ages me about twenty years. From the moment I got there, I felt like I was just another client and the whole thing took about 20-minutes (for $70!). I don't tend to get upset about things like this but I went in there with good hair and walked out with a mess that I'll have to deal with for at least three months (until it grows into something else). Even my husband was appalled (and he barely notices things like this).

I had a wonderful experience at this salon. I came in with that $85 student coupon. David cut my thick, wavy hair into a low maintaince style, gave me perfect honye blond highlights and I loved the fact that he wasn't too chatty. He also flat ironed my hair at no extra charge!!! He is a very talented stylist whom you can trust from the moment you meet him.

I heard about this salon from a friend a few month back but just recently made the appointment as I do not like change when it comes to my hairstylist. My appointment was with David Romano and I cannot rave enough about what a wonderful job he did. He listened to what I wanted and gave me just that. The cut, color, and style were amazing. Not awkward at all and a great "Spa" experience. He has made me a client for life!! Such a comfortable salon with that "fancy feel". All the magazines and newpaper review clippings they have posted around the salon speak for themselves.

Pros: Everything was a pro for me

Cons: Parking was a little rough but definately worth it! If you call, they might refer you to better parking

Who doesn't want to find a great place to get a highlight / haircut from people who you can trust to do an amazing job?? I went for the first time to see David at Studio for Hair and was beyond impressed. When I first sat down, we had a conversation about what I wanted to do with my hair. I immediately asked for his advice, and he gave me two great options. By the way he explained the positive aspects of both cuts, I could easily tell he knew what he was talking about and was actually thinking about the best style for me, not just the style that he knew how to do. Although both options sounded great, I went with the shorter choice (risky at a new place!) and it turned out amazing!! He wasn't at all pushy about products, but made a great recommendation when I asked him for one. I had a great experience at Studio for Hair and will definitely be going back (and tell my friends)!!!

Pros: Great skill, great ideas, friendly, Great Style!

My friend and I went there because we had a coupon for a $20 cut. It was a good cut, meaning it looked pretty and was flattering to my face shape, but he cut off half an inch more than I wanted him to. He also didn't schedule enough time for both cuts so I ended up blowdrying my own hair while he cut my friend's hair. I guess you get what you pay for...

Pros: Cutting skill, friendly stylist

My friend told me to go to Studio for Hair, even though it was kind of far from where I live. Coincidentally I got the same hair stylist as her (David) and boy am I glad! I was in and out in 20 mins flat, with the best hair cut I have ever received! He listened to everything I said, and took time to play with my hair and see what it did. Usually when I go to salon and I tell them that I want something low maitnence, I find myself leaving with a cut that needs five products and 20 minutes of blowdrying. But David listened and left me with a hair cut that needed no products and 3 minutes of blowdrying time! Plus the price is affordable! You should check it out!!

Somone referred me to David Romano. Not only did he do a an awsome job, but he did better than what I pictured and described for my color and cut. Very talented and an awsome stylist. Makes the whole process fun. All staff are great too. Highly recommended!!!!!!

I was referred to Antonio for a color "fix"....I couldn't be happier! After years of hoping someone could get it right based on my description, Antonio did it! You can't imagine the compliments I get now... And Antonio has a personality, thank God...how many times do you have a hair dresser who thinks he's better than everyone??? He's funny and makes the time go by, and he's EXCELLENT at what he does! I would put him up against anyone in this city any day of the week! (And his cuts are great too!)

I have been going to Antonio Vitale (co-owner) since he opened this salon. Strangers literally stop me on the street and ask me where I get my hair done. I'd never go anywhere else!!
