EP WINE, of Barre MA, illegally gave out my personal information of my propane bill for the last year. They were not given my permission ,this person received a print out of how many gallons I purchased and what I paid. What are my legal rights ?

Family and friends have all been long time customers of this company. NO MORE. One by one they are all leaving. In fact, haven't heard a good thing about them in years. Office staff (Woman who generally answers the phone) is a rude, condescending, know it all. Very unhelpful and you get off the phone thinking "why do I bother to put up with it" 6 other reviewers all know it and it will only be a matter of time before a company who treats you right gets the business. Don't even bother calling this joke of a company. Call another local business R.J. McDonald.

I was a long time customer of EP Wine from 1974 until May 2011 when I cancelled for personal reasons. EP Wine took back from me 1 full propane tank and 1 tank that was half full.I might add that a full tank cost me $150.00 due to a huge price increase right after the ice storm. I called EP Wine & they refuse to give me any refund.I dont recommend this company to anyone.

I lived in South Barre at two different apartments and have had no problems with E.P. Wine. They always stuck to their delivery schedule even during inclement weather. I find all their staff professional and courteous. No problems here with E.P. Wine

EP Wine is the absolute worst gas company I have ever dealt with. Not only have they let me run out of gas a dozen times, this weekend Shad Wells told me it "wasn't worth his time" to come out and rectify me running out of gas. I owed them nothing, and had automatic delivery. It was THEIR FAULT! I told him we would no longer be doing business, and I would return his cylinder, since I didn't want them on my property to come fetch it. I then hooked up a barbecue cylinder so we could cook, while I wait for the new company to come and set their tank.
Then today, I come home to find Shad had trespassed onto my property (after I clearly fired them Saturday and forbid them from entering) and stole the gas regulator (which didn't belong to them!). When I called Shad demanding MY property back and threatened legal action, he went to the police station and told them I threatened him! What an absolute jackass!

Now I understand why so many people around me have switched from them to other companies. They're overpriced anyways- selling propane at up to $3.99 a gallon that they buy for around $1.40. That's a heck of a markup!

This company is the biggest bunch of jerks I have ever dealt with, and I'm glad to be rid of them. No wonder their reviews are so bad.

We have 2 different tanks at our home. One for the house and another for a detached building. Based upon the volume I should have been getting a significant discount. Four years after we stumbled upon this, they would not provide any retroactive rebate. They continually applied checks to the wrong accounts and required repeated calls to fix the challenges. At one point their tanks failed and released 25 gallons of propane. When I requested they pick up that tab, it was denied.I am a pretty reasonable guy, but after numerous missteps and a clear disregard for customer service, they have lost my business

I've been a customer for over 30 years when Mr. Ed wine owned and operated the company and until recently I thought they were a pretty respectable outfit. The grandson now runs the company with little regard to the long time customers and perhaps many others as well. During the recent ice storm they were charging $.50 or more a gallon than usual. and charging $150.00 for a "special delivery" if it wasn't your time for delivery, even though the truck may have been in a neighboring town. It's not the drivers fault. They're a bunch of great guys. They do what they're told from the office. Customers should check other propane suppliers. Most have lower prices, no "special delivery" fees and much better service. I switched and saved $3.00 a gallon. The company is not the same as when Mr. Ed Wine was running it. No business survives a 3rd generation...

I used this company for almost 5 years when I lived in Barre. They delivered propane to my house. The driver would show up faithfully and always on schedule. He would either wave or smile and occasionally chat for a bit. One day, he really rescued me from a bad situation. My dog had gotten all tangled up in her runner. She ended up with a piece of the metal runner in her neck, and she was crying because of the pain. I couldn't get the piece out, and luckily EP Wine showed up. I asked the driver if he could come in and help me with my dog. I explained to him what had happened. I was all in a panic and was scared for my dog. He looked at me and said, "Relax. I grew up on a farm and had lots of animals. I know exactly what to do." Within about 45 seconds, he had pulled the metal piece out of my dog's neck, and she was fine after that. I don't know what I would have done if he didn't show up when he did. I will always appreciate that extra bit of service he gave me. He was just a friendly neighbor helping another neighbor at that point. EP Wine is a family run business, and it sure feels good to patronize someone that goes the extra mile when you need a helping hand. They do everything that pertains to propane: service, sales, and repairs. And occasionally wearing a first aid/EMT/vet hat too!
