J M K 9 Training

I have been affiliated with JMK-9 for nine years in all capacity's
and have been happy with all. Nine years ago my pup was trained there and he had separation anxiety, so day care was a god send.
When I lost him last fall, I adopted a puppy from there,he has been great, crate trained, house trained and now he goes there everyday
because he loves it so much and so do I when I pick him up he
has gotten plenty of exercise from playing with the other dogs, it's
great for people who work everyday. I have and will continue to
recommend it to friend's and co-workers. It's also great that I can
buy all his dog food etc... there. I have watch JMK-9 grow over the years which makes me happy because I know it will be around for
many years to come. Jeni and her people have been great.

I have been boarding my dogs at JM K9 Training for a few years now, and I would highly recommend their services. My dogs are able to share a large pen together, and the staff takes the time to be sure they are fed separately (they don't share well) Both of my dogs like to play with other dogs as long as they are not too jumpy and playful, and again the staff takes the time to be sure that they are placed in the right group of dogs for their temperment.

I have also taken their puppy kindergarten class, and I found this to be a fun and informative way to spend time with my puppy (at the time) They have a great groomer there as well, and I always ask for my dogs to be bathed before I pick them up from boarding. I'm sure that there are cheaper places out there, and there are certainly closer boarding facilities, but I like that the staff takes the time to do the little things needed to make my dogs happy while I'm away.

I have been using the JMK9 facilities since they opened 8 years ago. Over the years I have watched them expand to include boarding,grooming, and a store. We use all three. The staff is helpful and professional. It is great to be able to pick up food and supplies at the same time I pick up my dog. The prices are comparable to other stores and they will even place special orders for customers. My "youngest" is an adopted dog who was quite fearful when she came to us. Through JMK9's training and day care programs she is now a well adjusted member of the family!

In searching for a day care for my newly adopted dog, I came across J M K 9's website. It was certainly information packed and I was very impressed with their services offered and the prices. However, upon visiting their location and taking my dog for an evaluation, I was VERY un-impressed! Their facilities were very small and dirty, and when I pulled up, their tiny yard was overrun with doggies that were absolutely sweltering in the 97 degree heat with one tiny pool. There was also NO supervision! The staff was made up of very young girls, not far out of their teens, which is fine, but they all seemed to be in way over their heads and not once did I see one smile or pat a dog, or speak soothingly. When I left my dog, who was very nervous and confused, the girl just yanked her by the collar and didn't even try to coax her nicely to come with her! When I came to pick my dog up, they seemed pretty unorganized and quoted me much higher prices than they had originally quoted me!

CONS: dirty, unorganized, non-reliable, un-professional and un-friendly staff

I stopped here to find out about doggie day care. My dog is quite small 2.5lb . He would not be able to play with the other dogs due to his size. He would be walked and or let out in a pen periodically throughout the day. NO definately not for tiny pups. All the big dogs seemed to enjoy themselves.
