5 Stars: Unique Sculptures (by Jenny Z.)

While many art museums offer a look at artwork dating back to the "gothic" style of paintings, this is one of the contemporary art museums that features artwork strictly from the 20th century. The sculptures are really neat; they're huge, and consume a wide space... like open cubes or a raindrop. As much as I love classic artwork, modern day sculptures boggle my brain, too, and this is my favorite place to walk through for modern-day art.

4 Stars: A wonderful art musuem filled with many artists from our area (by robin p.)

DeCordova museum has wonderful displays of art from various artists from our local states. I found some of the art to be kind of like experimental art in which the artist uses funky materials in his work. Other artists might use a far-out method to create his art. Most of the artwork is not your usual art pieces at all. Outside you will be delighted and amazed at the different and exciting sculpures. Some are huge and massive. Others are quite small. Some materials used include old tires......to carved stone. Well recommended.
