5 Stars: One of the best (by Tafadzwa V.)

We had such a wonderful evening at Red Sea. The ambiance was great, and the food even better. It was our first experience with Ethiopian cuisine, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The honey wine was to die for. The waitrons were lovely, and the whole dining experience was just wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

4 Stars: Fun date place (by Beth D.)

This place is a fun, casual night out. The seating is rather intimate, the food is interesting (and mostly tasty, though I'm not a fan of their cold fish dish), and the atmosphere is good. I'm not sure if it's authentic, but it's good!

5 Stars: Casual, Excellent, Authentic Ethiopian Restaurant (by D. V.)

This is a fun place to go. You sit on tiny stools with a small, low lying table (made like a woven basket) to share for eating. You eat with your hands, as is Ethiopian custom, using a a spongy, pancake-like flatbread. You take a small piece of the bread and scoop up one of the many stews or fried meat for eating. They serve various varieties of delicious and tender stews as well as meat based servings. Im not always sure what type of meat, whether it be lamb or beef, but it is always amazing. Ethiopian food is seasoned generously but not too spicy, just full of flavor. The environment is casual and fun and the wait staff are genuinely Ethiopian and very polite, helpful with suggestions and attentive. I always feel as though I am a special guest in their home; very welcomed. The Addis Red Sea is located in a very cool area of the South End. They have a honey wine which is authentic and delicious, which I love. The prices are very cheap especially considering the location. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

PROS: Inexpensive, excellent food, comfortable atmosphere
CONS:

5 Stars: wonderful ethiopian food (by Sandra C.)

Intimate, casual, very unique place to go/take someone. It's best if you get a combo with someone and share. Love the flat bread. There's no utensils, you just use the bread to pick up the food. The small tables and dimly lit atmosphere is good for a small group of friends. I don't think more than four would fit at a table though. Great decor and atmosphere.
