Quality is worth the cost.
by Rudolpho B.
I went in on a recommendation from a co-worker.
I had always had trouble with every pair of glasses ever given to me, so when Dr. Luria told me that I needed reading glasses I was worried that progressive lenses would only be worse. They offer a wide range of options from very inexpensive to very expensive. I went with one of their "best" lenses and I've never seen clearer. The weird distortion on the sides of my vision are gone. The staff was very professional and helpful. While my glasses were far more expensive than I expected, they have been worth every penny.

Check out the new frames, the staff have been awesome and the price well worth the product! There are dozens of beautiful frames, you will have to exercise willpower to not try on any or attempt to purchase another pair of glasses.

Confusing shopping experience
by mjjohnson05
I went to the shop to buy fashionable frames and tinted lens. i coukld not find frames i wanted, one pair that looked ok were to small for my face. A clerk wanted to know if I had my perscription, I felt undecided, I did not want to buy frames because I thought I could make a better selecetion elsewhere.
Pros: Shop looked impressive
Cons: Frame selection not large enough

Best eye glass store EVA
by annawheller
Eye Q in Harvard Square is wonderful. They take the time to fit your face with the perfect glasses. They are honest, fun, helpful and know the styles that are right for your life and look. I will never buy glasses anywhere else. Paul is the best, but everyone that works at the store will only be helpful and get you the glasses you love, they won't let you settle for less.

Pros: easy location, great selection and service.

Cool frames, good service, good eye exams
by steve02476
I've been to Eye-Q (Harvard Square branch) several times over the last 6 years. Their frames aren't cheap but they are in nice styles and seem well made. I've been very impressed by the eye exams given by Dr. Luria there.
I had problems with my last pair of glasses (progressive lenses) that I think were basically caused by a bad prescription (the prescription was not from Eye-Q) but the staff and Dr. Luria worked hard to get everything fixed up and the glasses are great now.
Pros: nice glasses, helpful staff
Cons: not cheap!

Great customer service!
by jl101
I recently bought a pair of glasses from Eye Q in Harvard Square and I their customer service was superb. They go above and beyond what is expected. I found a frame I liked in less than 15 minutes not only because they have a good selection of glasses, but also because the person helping me knew what looked good and what didn?t with my facial features and had a good feel of my personal taste after trying out a few frames. I had only left my address but not my phone number with them, so when it was time to pick up my new glasses, they couldn?t contact me. The lady that works there looked me up in the phone book and also called 411 to track down my home phone number. I didn?t expect them to put in such effort to try to contact me! I ended up having to have my lenses redone twice because of a very badly written and vague prescription from UPenn Ophthalmology. Paul, the optician, was fabulous. He helped me with the redoing process and he was more than nice even when I brought my glasses in to be fixed for the third time. Everyone in that store is friendly and professional, and I have never had better customer service buying glasses.
Pros: Friendly and professional staff, good selection
Cons: Parking

NO OTHER PLACE LIKE IT!!!!
by ashland_07
Let me start by saying I hated the way glasses looked on me. So I always wore my contacts but didn't exactly care for them the way I should have. Which caused an ulcer on my eye, my fault. I went to EYE-Q hoping to get new contacts but when the Doctor said I can't wear them until my eye heals I wanted to die when I thought about myself in glasses. So I proceeded to pick out my new glasses and I always thought you match them to what colors and clothing you wear. WOW I was wrong. The people at EYE-Q showed me the frame that looks best for my shape face. Then gave me three colors of the same frame and told me which color would look the best for my tones, it took me a few minutes to decide. But once I did, I went with what they said and thank god I did. Im so happy with my new glasses they look awsome I never thought I would look like this in glasses. As for contacts I barely even wear them at all, now that I have the right pair of glasses for me.
EYE-Q not only has the best fashion sense they have excellent service. Its a very welcoming place. They make it very easy and relaxing. You dont have to second guess yourself or them, ITS GREAT!!!!! If you like quick easy fun GO TO EYE-Q-OPTICAL you wont regret it...
They also have three locations for your convience.
Pros: Service, Fashion, overall experience.
Cons: none

by pluv
Dear Friends of EYE Q,
As you know, we strive to satisfy your every need, want and desire!
If disgruntled x-employees and so-called competition choose to fabricate bogus reviews to slander and defame EYE Q that is their business....ARE BUSINESS IS YOU!!
While the Internet provides much information, it's also a source of vast MISinformation!

Cheap frames from China Expensive Prices
by rock4f
I was overcharged for a trendy looking but cheap frame made in China . I paid for a high index lense and got a regular one. When I told the salesperson, they insisted it was a 1.67 it was a polycarbonate instead. I had another eyeglass professional check it. They also told me that the frame I paid $225 was a frame that cost the store less than a $1. from china. The salesperson told me it was a custom designed frame especially made for EyeQ.
I was ripped off.
Pros: Harvard Square
Cons: rip off artists-have an answer for everything

Overpriced and Rude
by wigginsheathera
The prices are unbelievably high, and they don't take most insurance plans. And, the staff were rude and condescending and kept trying to upsell me on the type of lenses I purchased.
Pros: Trendy
Cons: Very expensive.

EYE Q IS THE PLACE TO GET YOUR GLASSES!!
by kdew
I've been going to EYE Q since they opened and I have to say the experience keeps
getting better!!! Not only do they have really cool glasses, it is their OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE that sets them apart from the rest. In fact, EYE Q offers one of the best shopping experiences PERIOD. Also, they are PROS at helping choose the correct frames for the individual as my hubby and I have always let them do what they do best!!
EYE Q consistently shines.Oh, by the way, patkins should get his/her glasses from
EYE Q he/she obviously did not see the prices which are cleverly posted near their frames NOT on them as to prevent price tags from getting in the way.
EXPECT TO GET "WOWED" at any of their three locations( now in JP
where I live..I'm in trouble now..more glasses from EYE Q!!) hey patkins...GBIOYA!
Pros: frame selection, outstanding service, all price ranges

Rude and condescending
by patkins
The staff was pushy, rude, and condescending. Their aloof attitude was a turn off and their wheeling dealing was unprofessional. I have rarely encountered such a performance from the entire staff of a shop. This is especially true of a small company like Eye Q. Prices were not posted with the frames and a number seemed to appear randomly hand written on the invoice. I was thoroughly disappointed with this shopping experience. I cannot speak for the other branches but Eliot street is best avoided if friendly, courteous staff is something you desire in your shopping experience.
Pros: frame design
Cons: staff, pricing??, attitude

EYE Q changed my life
by rutherford_b_have
Eye Q Optical is amazing.
My friends had highly recommended them and they did not disappoint.
They were able to immediately assess my needs and suggest several frames that I loved much more than my current pair from an over priced Newbury St. shop.
Ultimately, it was their very first suggestion that I purchased.
I have never loved a pair of glasses more and have never had such a fun and positive shopping experience.
The attention and service is unmatched.
Thank you EYE Q.
Pros: service, selection, atmosphere

Trying not to gush...
by karenjlewis
Eye glass selection cannot be beat but, more importantly, neither can the design savvy eye glass conoisuers. The dashing staff will scrutinize, adjust, and critique until you've found the best frames and then, if that isn't enough, they will replace your frames free of charge if you're not happy with the outcome.
Pros: Smart, Attentive
Cons: Expensive but, money, well spent
