Don't be duped - these guys charge a little less but you will end up paying more if you come here. I wanted to get my cats ready for a move to Hawaii and dropped them at the vet with a to do list. THREE DAYS LATER they give me a bill for $200 for arbitrary blood work and urinalysis, which was perfectly normal, and yet they DID NOT DO A SINGLE THING ON THE LIST. I called the third day and demanded to get a phone call from the blood work technician, who was stalling and not returning my calls (meanwhile my cats are sitting in a jail cell waiting for the technician to get off his ass). The receptionist told me that she couldn't guarantee that anyone would call me back - AFTER THREE DAYS. I told her f*ck that I'm coming to get my cats and I did just that.
The receptionist tried to telling me "nobody makes any money here" which is a bold faced lie. They are NOT a charity organization, and they are NOT a non-profit, don't be fooled! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Their prices ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE to charity prices, not even close, but they want you to believe they are a non-profit so that they can justify providing what I believe is the worst customer service experience in Austin.
riverside veterinary clinic is the best vet. clinic in the world. compassionate, truly caring, even on your pets last day. i have been a client for 20 yrs. 6cats, 2dogs. they are so humane. the cost is reasonable; there not trying to get rich of you. i highly recommend them, and i do frequently.
I used them for over 20 years, through 4 cats. I moved 500 miles away last year and my two remaining cats and I miss them very much. They always provided great care to my cats. Pricey? Maybe. But, you get what you pay for. They were up to date in care and customer service. I highly recommend this animal clinic.
We have been bringing out Cats here for a long time. When one of them passed, the staff was so caring and helpful. It was a very sad thing for us. Recently we brought in our "Fluffy" for grooming which we have many times. She doesn't like it, but the staff always handles her with such care, even when she is very uncooperative. They even called the following day to see how she was doing after she had very uncooperative visit. It takes a lot of patience to deal with her and not many places would do that. We applaud their patience. Thanks so much all of you!!!
Dr Owen is probably one of the most caring vets I have met. My old collie had long suffered (10yrs) from urinary incontinence and medications were no longer effective. Then Carrigain started to develope fecal incontinence also. Dr. Owen did research to look into other methods (to include collagen injections, a temporary "fix") to address the situation. In the end, the dicision was made to put her down which I struggled over 6 months to make. Dr. Owen stood by me and she was very supportive. Carrigain was terrified of vet clinics and so Dr. Owen prescribed a tranquilizer and actually came out to the car to ease her on. She made one of the worst days of my life less terrifying for my dog.
I've been using Riverside since the early 80's, when it was just Dr. Anderson. Through 3 cats, 2 of whom lived to 20+ years, I've found the drs and staff to be professional and caring. when each of my 2 sr citizen felines passed on, the drs were very compassionate and followed up with me as to how I was doing.
When I met my husband, he owned a German Shepard and this was his vet of choice. He loved them and drove all the way from North Andover to Haverhill to take his dog there for care. When our dog got gravely ill, we took him there in emergency status and they cared for him until he was able to be transported to another hospital. Unfortunately, he was too ill to be saved but they called us for updates and to give their condolances. They truly care for the animals they treat and we would recommend them to anyone.
