Chef Chow's House

When I lived in Coolidge Corner, this was my Chinese food of choice. Both for local eat-in and for delivery.

We had tried all the varieties of Chinese restaurant locally (many playing off the words Chef, Chow, Chang, and House in an exhaustive variety of combinations), and this was the only easy option that was good.

I have really enjoyed everything I've had here, and my girlfriend has as well. We seldom agree on restaurants (maybe a tenth of the time), and this is one of them.

In our history, the eat-in experience is superior to delivery, but delivery is still a good option.

The eat-in experience boasts a clean dining room and excellent customer service from the staff. They are respectful and helpful.

It's also one of the few restaurants where if you ask for extra of something or another item well-done, that's how they prepare and present it. There's a certain pride in their presentation that lacks elsewhere.

But the bottom line is good food. Lo mein, fried rice, chicken wings, boneless spare ribs, scallion pancake, beef teriyaki, and soups are all good to go for sure.

I highly recommend trying it out.
