Reviews for Borash Veterinary Clinic

Ratings_icons Very caring for both patient and owner!

Laura H.

I was new to the area and live within walking distance from Borash. I absolutely was heartbroken when I had to put down my cat of 15 years cappachino. I must say the staff was wonderfully caring. They gave me the time I needed to say good-bye and let me stay with her so she knew she was loved.

I got a pet sympathy card in the mail signed by all the people in the office and that really impressed me.

If I ever need the services again this is one clinic I would highly recommend.

Dr. Borash is one of the best vets we've ever encountered. He went out of his way to save our 11 year old Cocker Spaniel who suffers from Diabetes and Cushings disease. She is now living well and is once again healthy and happy. Dr. Borash has also performed surgery on our dog and was very thorough in advising what will happen and what we could expect. He uses state of the art laser surgery that ensures our pet did not feel the pain as compared to normal surgery.

His staff has always been warm, experienced, and loving to our dog, cat and birds. We travel 1 hour each way to see Dr. Borash, and his expertise is well worth the trip.

Ratings_icons Borash is bad for animals

Loves D.

Relocated recently & looked into multiple vets for my dog and WRONGLY chose Borash. He overcharges; spreads out shots so you have to pay an office visit fee each time; doesn't return calls (although this may be due to his RUDE STAFF who can't seem to keep track of the messages left for the doctor); and POORLY interacts with dogs. During the most recent visit he purposely agitated my dog and continued by purposely escalating the situation. No one who cares about animals would ever do this. A caring, knowledgeable vet would soothe the animal. Like all other vets I've been to and heard of, sure his staff gave me a follow-up call after one of our visits. However Borash's staff called 3 times b/c nobody recorded a note in the chart that I'd already been called and spoken with. The doctor doesn't even remember (or at least glance at the chart to refresh his memory) any details of your pet. He asked me if my dog was neutered and continued by telling me he remembered neutering my pet when this was not true at all. I will NEVER return for veterinary services, nor board my dog there (which his own employee told me was not a good facility to board a dog), or board at Four Seasons Pet Resort, which Dr. Borash also owns. I should've paid more attention to people who had bad things to say about Borash after I told them I took my dog there. I am so sorry that my dog was subject to Borash's HARSH treatment.

Ratings_icons Steer Clear of Borash

Let me begin my saying that I've always had animals, and lived in a number of places, so I guess you could say that I have had my fair share of vets. As compared with my past experiences, Borash has been a great dissapointment. I would agree with others who have said that the staff is rude and uncaring. The place is about volume, and it appears that while Borash may have gone into this career with the best inentions, he has stopped caring about the individual wealthfare of his patients long ago. I have too many examples to possibly begin to share to express my hatred of this place, but rest assured that your best interests are served by avoiding Borash at all costs. I have given this vet numerous chances, and they have all ended in great dissapointment. In addition, the place is very poorly run, and appointments are never on time. Also, in the event your pet needed surgery and all you need to do is pick up, you are forced to wait 45 minutes for your pet. Avoid!

The worst vet ever. Staff is misinformed, uncaring and offer very poor customer service. Everyone knows at least 1 horror story from someone who used this vet.

Ratings_icons Great Doctor and Staff!

I would recommend this clinic to anyone. Dr. Borash is so thorough when it comes to the animlas and is always willing to help you out with the cost to make sure the animlas get what they need. The staff is proffesional, friendly and knowledgable. They really make you feel comfortable. Only downfall is the wait time. I recommend getting a morning apt or the first one of the afternoon to aviod waiting too long.

Ratings_icons Best vet clinic on the north shore

The Borash Vet Clinic is amazing. The staff are all so passionate about animals, and everyone wants to do whatever they can to help your pets. Dr. Borash is so thorough and doesn't seem to miss a thing when you bring your pet in for an annual visit. They even offer boarding for animals if you have to go away. I definitely recommend them for anyone who cares about their pets.

PROS: Passionate; Caring; Knowledgable; Thourough

I have a 1.5 year old pug and we have been using Borash vet she we got her, we have been treated with respect and kindness, I have called for an emergency and Dr. Borash was at the aquarium with his children and left to meet me at the office... and after her surgery(spayed) I received a tele call to see how she was doing???
I guess to each their own
the only down side is that they are kinda a far drive for me.

Do not take your animals to this place. I had to take my cat there for an emergency because my normal vet clinic was closed for the night. The staff was rude and impatient with me. The doctor himself didn't seem interested in my cat whatsoever. He misdiagnosed him and gave him the wrong medication.

The next day I took him to my regular vet who was able to properly care for my cat.

I live and work in the area and no one ever has anything nice to say about that place.

I have heard so many horror stories regarding this clinic. We used to take my old dog there and he put her to sleep after failing to recognize her cancer.

I RECENTLY LOST A PET TO A NON RESPONSIBLE PERSON WHOM I ADOPTED HER OUT TO.AND WITH GREAT FORTUNE SHE WAS RESCUED BY THE BORASH CLINIC AND THEIR STAFF. ONE OF THE STAFF WAS EVER SO KIND ENOUGH TO FOSTER HER. THE CLINIC ,STAFF AND DR. BORASH WERE VERY KIND AND THOUGHTFUL. I WAS ABLE TO BE REUNITED WITH HER, AND I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF MY BABY. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE CLINIC AND WE WILL BE BACK TO VISIT. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
