Where Your Pets are treated like Family
Fantastic hospital. The staff and veterinarian have taken great care of my 2 cats and my dog. They are compassionate and truly care about them. I have been through many episodes of problems and each time, the staff at Hancock Animal Hospital has been there to help. They are truly the BEST. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I called this Animal Hospital for my brothers cat to be put to sleep. I told the person on the phone that it was my brothers cat, and the cat had been going the bathroom loose stool for months now. Prior to this my brother brought the cat in for a exam to find out why. After being charged over 200.00 he was told his 17 year old cat is fine. Then the cat still had loose stools and crapping all over the place, the stool was sticking to his tail and then a blister formed inbetween the poor cats legs, he brought again to the vet, another 200.00 the cat is fine. So I then consulted with my brother and got consent to have the cat put down. The poor animal did not have a good quality of life. all his teeth were gone, due to old age, and he used to roam around the yard and neighborhood only to now stay on the porch. he couldn't eat dry food only wet food because of his teeth. and the crapping all over the place was getting out of hand
no one could keep up with the cleaning. I called the vet and told them he is a patient there and that it was my brothers cat. The woman on the phone told me to get written consent from my brother who was at work,. I did so and made a appointment. I brought the cat in with the consent and the vet came out with the chart in his and and said this is a TOTALLY different signature. I then said are you kidding. Look at the cat crap all over his tail, he is so old he can't even clean himself anymore, he is suffering.
I then gave the vet my brothers work number and cell number which he got a recorded message. I then took the cat because they would not let me leave it there, and drove to my brothers work and finially got ahold of him, and had him call the vet. I would never recommend anyone going there, they knew the cat was old but yet gave him a clean bill of health and 400.00 dollars later 1 month later the cat was put down. during this 1 hr wait of getting ahold of my brother they inconvienced me, made my brother upset at work and I believe the cat suffered as well being in the cat carrier. If they are so humane then why did they think that I forged the letter? I work in the medical field.? I also have the same last name as my brother and live at the same address. I thought the vet was unprofessional and rude.

I found Dr. Ean Wember through a neighbor singing his praises! I was very skeptical at first, having just gone through a horrendous experience with another local vet hospital. To my surprise and delight, I found that Hancock Animal Hospital was not only everything my neighbor said but more! My 15-yr old feline always hated the vet, especially when it came time for her shots. Having met Dr. Wember, not only did she purr constantly, she just lay there on his arm, belly up, while getting her shots. She then took her little paw and gently touched his cheek with affection, something she had never done before! (Her previous vet was subjected to being scratched very deeply across her hand when she tried to give a shot, requiring stitches!)The staff truly enjoys what they do and Dr. Wember is the "Dr. Doolittle" of the vet profession. I cannot find enough wonderful words to describe the gentle, kind treatment both of us received.

Hancock Animal Hospital is a wonderful place that truly loves animals. We have taken our 2 Jack Russells there for the past 2 years and I have never seen such an outpouring of kindness and concern. There has been times when I have had a problem that needed to be immediately addressed in person and they have told me to just come in and have been able to fit me in immediately last minute.
Dr. Wember is knowledgeable and skilled and my dogs are always happy to see him ( even when getting a shot...well not happy but he handles them with such love that they are extremely comfortable). The staff is so awesome and personable and you can really tell they love working there. It is a joy to be a "mom" of 2 happy patients!

I have been going to Hancock Animal Hospital for the past few years. Dr. Wember has been very helpful with my dog who can be VERY mischievous. All of the staff at Hancock Animal Hospital has been very patient through everything. Everyone is so helpful and responsive. Dr. Wember always provides a follow up call after each visit which adds that extra personal touch!

My wife and I found out about Dr. Ean Wember and the staff at Hancock Animal Hospital while talking with a couple of people at the local dog park.
For years, we've been taking our little guy to other veterinarians in our area and for the most part, these people have done a decent job. Problem is, just about everytime we've needed to bring our dog to the vet, we've never had the same person see him.
On more than a few occassions, we've been ignored with our concerns - our little dog has serious panic attacks if confined or caged and yet, at least one other veterinarian hospital ignored this. When we've had emergency situations, not once have we been able to get anyone to see him immediately and have had to drive for half an hour to a center where money is the driving force.
What we found out about the people at Hancock Animal Hospital made all the difference - the staff are excellent, extremely friendly and always go out of their way to accomodate us, no matter what!
One lady in particular who mans the front desk and assists Dr. Wember during exams and other medical procedures, suffice it to say, she is a saint!
Dr. Wember has gift with animals and there is no one even close to his expertise, "he tells it like it is" and is not prone to doing things that "might" help - he is not in this field for the money - clearly!
We highly recommend these people far and above any other hospital - you get the best care possible, all of it with compassion and frankness - it's not about driving up the bill, unlike other places in and around Quincy or Weymouth MA.

My cat does not, I repeat does not like going to the vet.
Before we tried Hancock Animal hospital, we tried a few other places in the area, where it would take almost 3 people to hold him down because he would become so upset. He would scratch, growl, hiss, you name it, and then we tried the Animal Hospital. The difference was night and day.
He loved the Dr. Wember. The first time we brought him into the office he purred. Mind you, this is the same cat it took 3 people to hold him down with very thick leather gloves that covered the entire arm.
I am not sure what it is exactly, but Dr. Wember has a way with animals. He is amazing, and is very thoughtful and conservative with his treatments, not pushing a shot or treatment. He is in it for the love of the field, not the money. So not only is he passionate about what he does, he is also very good at what he does. I would recommend this office to anyone!!! It has been such a wonderful experience.

I have been taking my cats to Hancock Animal for the last two years. Our previous vet was not nearly as friendly, informative or welcoming. One of my cats almost died this summer but these two vets really helped him. Not only did they care for my sick cat but they also took the time to make sure I was alright. When my cat was staying multiple days I get daily phone calls on how he was doing. They explained everything that was done and saved him. I don't know what I would have done without them!

There is no other vet like Dr. Wember. He is amazingly kind and gentle and loves the animals. He is very current in his field and thinks outside the box, as well. He is open and knowledgable about complimentary therapies to be used in conjunction with traditional ones. When he left the veterinary practice where he worked previously to open his own clinic, I was unable to locate him for a while. Thank God I found him again. I would never go anywhere else.

I just came back from this veterinary office with my sick, 7-y.o. dachshund. It was the first time I had seen Dr. Rebecca Schoenberg, and what a wonderful doctor/person she is-she put my mind at ease, seems to be approriately analytical in her approach to how to treat and eliminate areas of concern, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. This has always been the case when I have called, they seem to pride themselves on genuine kindness, which is precisely what you want around your animals! I also adore Ean Wember, he seems quite thorough and knowledgeable, and has always been willing to spend an abundance of time explaining any situation for which I have questions. Furthermore, the office is child-friendly, providing a great bucket of toys to my 3 kids while performing the exam on our doggie! I made the switch back to this office after it reopened with these new doctors, and I'm really glad I did!

I have been taking my dog to Dr. Ean Wember for 2 years & I just love the care he has received. My dog has had kidney disease for a year & gets great attention. I have found the rates pretty reasonable compared to my former vet. The building is very clean & my dog is not afraid to go in the door. He loves Dr. Wember & all the girls that work there. When I took him to my former vet he used to cower & get nasty. I am so happy that Dr. Wember was recommended to me by Brian's Kennels.
