Ratings_icons successful enough not to care

I worked there, like everywhere else it depends on who you end up dealing with, some are good/great some are not so good/great some are honest but most are not . Welcome to the world of money hungry owners who make their employees do everything necessary for the all-important bottom line. Just my opinion if you want to be treated well go to the small mom and pop store that depends on a good reputation to be successful. their pockets are not deep enough to screw as many as they can

Ratings_icons Bad Sales Agent

Massachusetts Buddhist Associa n.

Our experience with sales agent Steve Winette at Boch Honda was absolutely the worst ever. He delivered a brand new Honda Odyssey that was dirty, had a dent and scratches on it. His follow-up and attitude was exremely poor and continues to be the cases. We would never recommend Boch Honda to anyone. If you want excellent service and follow-up, I suggest you give Prime Acura or Honda a call, they care about their customers before and after the sale - truly professional.

Ratings_icons Boch Honda's service department is awful!

Cara M.

Boch Honda's Service Department is awful! I went there twice and waited for 2 hours each time just to be told that they didn't have the correct part. Then the third time I went, they told me to come at a particular time. When I got there they sent me home and told me they couldn't work on my car today. When I talked to the service manager he basically told me "tough!" I have only ever had Hondas and will never buy one again because this is the only service department in my area. Going to Boch Honda for sales or service is truly a torturous experience. Take my advice... don't go there!!!

Ratings_icons Jim Travers is Best of Class at Boch Honda in Norwood

Donna A.

I was astonished to read such negative reviews of Boch Honda, Norwood, because my experience with them was exactly the opposite of what is reported here. I credit my outstanding experience at Boch Honda entirely to Sales & Leasing Consultant Jim Travers. I recently became a widow and was terrified at the prospect of entering a car dealership, so received a quote on a Honda Accord from Jim via email. My son then accompanied me to the dealership and Jim turned out to be very personable and he put my mind at ease immediately. My son and I liked his direct and straightforward manner, and he did not use any bate-and-switch tactics, and was not at all the slick, fast-talking salesman I had come to expect after visiting other dealerships. He was incredibly patient and thorough in answering all of my questions. He struck me as being highly intelligent, and I was impressed by how well-organized and well-prepared he was during each phase of the negotiations. He fulfilled all of his commitments to me in a timely manner, and things went exactly as he said they would. And, no, I am not his mother.

Ratings_icons WONT BE ""COMING ON DOWN""

janice r.

ACTUALLY NO STARS (but you made me pick one)

My husband has been hunting for my new honda civic Ex with nav at a few dealers this week. May I just say that BOCH HONDA WAS THE WORST>>>

He decided to go there to compare prices with what we had been offered so far (included my trade).. The sales people first came out with an offer that was $8000 which was more than 2 other smaller dealers we had been to. Then my husband said fine..thank you for their time..yada yada.. and asked for the keys back for my trade (they had them to look at trade in value).. then they persisted in what was wrong with that price.. no other dealer can beat that.. My husband told them how he had a dealer who had a price that was less than half.. (PETERS HONDA-NASHUA) and Boch said that dealer is nothing.. they are pee ons.. they cant match us we are the biggest dealer around.. My husband again asked for his keys again.. they then brought Jow Blow the sales mgr over to say they would match Peters price.... My husband again instead he get his keys back NOW... Finally after making a scene my husband got his keys, as he was leaving the sales mgr actually blocked his car then proceeded to lean in his open window to say he was getting a great deal... two minutes later my husband gets a call ..he hadn't even made it to route 1 yet... come on back.. deals all set.. great deal..yada yada.. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE BOUGHT FROM PETERS HONDA NASHUA (the pee ons as they were referred to by BOCH).. Also I hear BOCH is building a new honda dealership in my hometown of Westford.. WELL I WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE (ALL MY NEIGHBORS>>FELLOW TOWNIES) HOW MUCH THEY SUCK>>

Ratings_icons Do not leave a deposit if you ever want to see your money back!

jane d.

I went in to look at new cars and after some very high pressure sales I put down $100 (on a credit card) to hold a car until I could talk to my husband. We decided against the car and were told they would credit it back to my card. Over 3 months and 8 phone calls later I still have not gotten the credit. I guess they think people will just give up after a while. If you do decide to give them a deposit, please don't use cash or a check - I can't imagine you'd ever see that money again. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company but would be out of luck if I'd paid by check.

Ratings_icons I paid price for a new car but got a used car instead

Disappointed R.

Because I heard that car salesmen were known to be deceitful, so I wasn't surprised that they gave me a quote for a basic 2008 Honda Civi LX, $22,900. I simply took off. The managers followed me to my car to pressure me to come back for a deal.

They showed me a car with 10 miles on it and gave me a better deal. I agreed to it and confirmed I wanted that car I saw with 10 miles on it.

However, after I signed the paper and everything, they told me that the car with 10 miles was not available, and gave me another car with 146 miles on it instead.

Ratings_icons Worse Finance Department

Pricislla M.

Be careful when you come to the finance department. They cheat. Eventhough you see the interest rate, term loan, the amount you finance, but becareful with the daily pay period; they will put 45 days, it will cacluate 1 and half month. if you ever buy a car at Boch Honda, you need to get you monthly number ready before you go there.
Never do bunissess again with a dealer who cheats.

Ratings_icons worst car buying experience EVER!

Anonymous

I was not impressed with the service. I was there for over 6 hours and felt like the salesman had absolutely no idea what was going on. They even tried to sneak the Mass tax onto my contract (I'm a New Hampshire resident).
I went to Boch because they claimed I could get a "great deal" so I drove over and hour from my home to receive this great deal. Well, I didn't really get any "great deal" on the price of the car - I could have bought my car in NH and driven it off the lot that day for the same price. Which reminds me, I had to wait over a week to get my car delivered to me up in New Hampshire because the salesman didn't "feel like getting up at 6 in the morning" on the days that worked best for me.
When I finally got my car I could tell the salesman was a smoker because my car smelled like cigarette smoke - not to mention my contract stated the car would have 12 miles on it. I live a little over 50 miles away. The car had 120 something miles on it when I received it. Does 12+50=120??? And oh yeah! I forgot to mention the interior was filthy and covered with dust and the corner vent cover had popped out of the dashboard. Whatever happened to cleaning and inspecting the car before the customer receives it? Absolute disaster.

Worst car buying experience I've ever had.

DO NOT to go to Boch.

I must say that I had an OK salesman.. He was patient with me .. Didn't pressure me .. But the manager and the finance department and the paperwork office is horrid horrid horrid .. Placed items on the billing that were never authorized nor discussed .. They are very very very sneaky .. I got an OK price .. Not the best deal I needed a car and didn't want to look all over the place .. Recommendation .. Try other places first if you have time . There are a lot of choices don't make the same mistake I did and it looks like quite a few others have

Ratings_icons Great price, horrible service

Lee F.

They gave me a great price on a 2008 Honda Pilot, but have been horrible about refunding my $500 deposit. They make it impossible to get anyone on the phone who can help and make claims which simply aren't true (like that they refunded the money to my card). I guess I got what I paid for.

Ratings_icons Bait & Switch

The Tundra I bought from Boch was not on their lot, it was "located" from another dealership in NH, and brought down. While it has been an excellent truck, I was assured that it would have the Stability & Traction control like the ones on their lot. It didn't. But by the time I found that out, I already owned the truck. Their suggestion was to sell it, and buy again. I didn't do that, and the truck has been excellent, they can't screw up a Toyota too badly. But they can misrepresent them. I will give them credit for the finance department, they were helpful and nice. Almost forced a 0% finance deal on me, so I took it, with no regrets. Not sure how they make a profit on that, but I'm sure there's an angle. I didn't encounter the credit card scam (but I'm aware of that)

Ratings_icons Finance Department Unprofessional

Tenetia J.

I went on Feb 16th to see about a car after looking around I decided to lease a 2008 Accord. The finance person pulled my credit report and told me I have no credit but it would be fine. I wrote a check, read over and signed all of the documents including the lease agreement, purchase contract, disclosure statement etc and I was told I could pick the car up on Wednesday. I get a call form the finance person on Monday telling me I can't pick up the car and that he is having a hard time with the bank because I have no credit. You would think he would have checked with the bank before he signed off on the documents. He told me to give him a day to get everything worked out. He hasn't contacted me since but I'm getting e-mails and mailings giving me congrats/thanks for leasing the car. Well here it is a week and three days later no car and no resolution.

Ratings_icons Awful awful technique

thuong t.

My first time buying at boch dealer ang the buying experienced at Boch honda was awful. The sales techniques is un ethical they pressure and like to held ur creditcard hostage .I would not go back or recommend to anyone especially if u r the first time buyer. Their finance dept was awful and unprofessional. DO NOT BUY AT boch dealership. I went to four other dealers and they are more friendly and honest than the people at Boch. Aslong as I live I WILL NOT BUY AT ANY BOCH DEALERSHIP.
Remember dont sign anyhting paper til everything is confirmed.

Ratings_icons Agree, these guys are awful.

Shag f.

I've been through the hi-pressure sales of buying a new car several times with different family members, but these guys are the worst. Every sales person at Boch Toyota was completely arrogant. But our "experience" ended when after reluctantly giving them our credit card, they held it hostage while negotiations were taking place. I've never seen more un-ethical sales techniques, and I've been all over Mexico and central America. Barely legal thieves is all these guys are. It took 4 different managers to come out before we finally got the card back so we could leave. Unbelievable.

Ratings_icons Boch Toyota is Awful

Anonymous

My wife bought a Toyota Matrix because it is more functional than an Nissan Versa. However, the buying experience at Boch Toyota was awful. The sales person was more interested in getting what he wanted than what my wife needed. At one point he was raising his voice (and being very arugmentative) with my wife and I had to warn him to back off. Of course, they brought out the general manager to speak with us, and he was not much better - high pressur, arrogance etc. - Additionally, we drove a car my wife decided to buy (with power windows) and they sold us a car with manual - essentially, they switched cars on us. Of course, they denied they did that but my wife and I were very clear on what was in the car we test drove. One of the really odd things about the transaction was how, at the end of the transaction, they pressured us to give them an excellent rating, even asking directly, will you give us an excellent rating. We refused to answer but I can assure them that when the Toyota survey comes to us that they will not get anywhere near an excellent rating. My advice to anyone considereing a Toyota (great cars) - do not buy from a Boch dealership. They are the ones who give car salesman bad names.

Ratings_icons They think its still a seller's market............. COME OUT OF YOUR DREAMS

Anonymous

We went there yesterday to see what options we might have since we have decided to get a car. Looks like Boch Honda people still dream that its a seller's market............ they need to come out of their dreams.

The reason I am writing this is because they literally...... no kidding........... literally insulted us on our face; saying would guys buy this car if we sell for $15k; if yes, give me your credit card, and I would swipe.......... right now!!!! Do not step in if you cannot afford the car........ Excuse us..... we are out to buy a $20-25...'k' car and not a $20-25 toy......... No matter how badly I would want a 'HONDA' car, I would NEVER EVER STEP IN BOCH HONDA'.......... Please do not go there...... go there only if you want a bad day.

Ratings_icons Please do not go there

emma s.

Yesterday, I had to go there with my friend.
We had this sales person named amoury or whatever

He gives us false information, we have already researched online but we were there to do comparison on 2 cars a yaris and a corolla

since there was very minimal difference in price we decided we wanted to pursue a corolla but he still wanted to sell us the yaris!!!!

anyway, at the end of it all he tells us "do not waste our time"

Hello!!! we were all set to buy a car we just needed time to think.

We will never buy from or from Toyota

We both have decided to get a honda!!!! from some other dealer of course!

Ratings_icons It's well-known, but over-rated

Howard M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,376

The sales tactics are typical, managers serve as the bad guy for price negotiations. It is kinda of insulting the buyers' intelligence to have such a foolish tactics, in my opinion.

There are plenty of dearlers a person can go to. So honesty should be the first priority for any dealer. Unfrotunately this one may fail the first test. We may go back again to try; but very doubtful.
