Sims Premier Fitness is THE best fitness club in the area....it's NOT just a gym. Staff is amazing, the facility is clean, has a huge variety of modern equipment to choose from and (my favorite!) the Les Mills group fitness classes with THE best instructors in the area; classes are motivating, fun and scheduled throughout the day so there is always a class available. Also has kid watch, smoothie bar, sauna, tanning...tons of amenities in one place. I highly recommend Sims!!!

Not bad., but the main problem is that it is OVERPRICED. In addition, the current managwment seems unresponsive to inquiries/requests, and even a little hostile at times. Note that they seem to charge everyone different prices based upon what they can get away with. If you are a member, ask in the locker room what other members are pating, you will be quite suprised. Finally, there is a great YMCA (within a few minutes of Sims - in Southbridge) with equal or better excercise equipment, great programs, a gymnasium (which Sims does not have), and an awesome, clear water, full size, pool for lap swimming and families (Sims pool is much smaller and has murky water, for some reason.). Oh, and this "Y"is HALF THE PRICE!!

Very dirty, looks like the place hasn't been vacuumed in a year. Toilets and showers are gross, half the time the toilets don't flush. Oftentimes equipment is broken which is frustrating. The roof in the aerobics room leaks, the floor gets wet and slippery. Definite mold and moisture issues. Overall a disappointment and after several years there I am going to be cancelling my membership.

I have complained to the staff several times about black mold in the back of the upatairs cardio room. IM not sure there aware how dangerous black mold is but it seems they could care less. ive been a member here since before it was sims, back as far as charlton raquetball. i will be quiting shortly.

Pros: have equipment

Cons: mold mildew and mold

★☆☆☆☆

I feel very uncomfortable at this stuffy gym, very hot humid no ventilation, impossible to take a shower after your workout due to the condensation and humidity in the locker room, mold and dirt add to the disgusting mix. If your a female be prepared to be treated like the plaugue as the female staff cater to the males. If you have an issue do not take it up with the so-called "manager" Jen because she is as unprofessional as one can get. I regret signing up for this gym and will never make that mistake again. I have joined PWER HOUSE and have signed 5 of my friends up there WE LOVE IT SIMS you don't even deserve a half a star GOOD RIDDENS!!! Too bad I have to pay for sims for two more months due to there hidden tricks see that its paid for and i still won't go!!! I hate it there!

Cons: No ventilation, snobby staff, bad additudes

Whoever gave this club 5 stars obviously has financial interest in it. It is extremely dated, dark and dingy and unbelievably expensive for what it offers. It is dirty and unwelcoming, personal training is a rip off. No experience with childcare so can't comment on that. The classes are the only saving grace in that they are challenging, however the room is small and is always packed which does not make for a comfortable experience. I decided to work out from home.

Pros: proximity to home

Cons: very dated and dark

I'm not sure who wrote the above comments. This place is DIRTY! MOLDY! and UNSAFE workout conditions!! No air conditioning! You can actually see the mold growing out of the walls! The toilets went unclean for over 2 months along with the showers, which has red mold all over them! See for yourself... This place is disgusting!! STAY AWAY!!

Pros: No waiting as all members left!

Cons: Moldy, dirty, wet floor in group room, moldy showers, etc.

Sims is by far one of the best gyms I've been in and I've been in gyms all over the world. Sims has an at home feel when you walk through the front door. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about fitness. What really sets them apart from others is the perks of being a member. Free classes, free pool use, weights, machines, personal trainers, health drinks and protien bars, massage therapy on site, and staff members that are really excited about seeing my results. The encouragement is the best at Sims and the feel of family is even better. I'm a 1.5 year member at Sims and miss them when I'm away.

Pros: Location, Clean, Comfortable, Variety, Pool

Cons: I can't take it with me when I travel

I read the comments before Sim's grand reopening on September 21st and almost didn't go. Fotunately, a new friend of mine who has been a long time member convinced me to tour the club. I am new to the area and have traveled all over the US working out in many clubs along the road. I found Sim's to be a high end facility with state of the art equipment. The staff was super friendly and hands down it was the best club I have ever visited in my life. I am happy to say that I am a new member and would like everyone to know Sim's is a must see!

Pros: Clean, High End, No meat heads, Outstanding Pool

Cons: Wish it was closer to my home but worth the drive

After reading some negative comments I feel compelled to set the record straight. As a ten + year member, there isn't a health club around that even compares to the level and quality of Sims. The staff is always knowledgable and friendly and kidwatch has been nothing but wonderful for my four young children. This club always has the most brand new, clean and very well maintained equipment with no wait times. I give this club an A++ and highly recommend checking it out!

Pros: Clean, Friendly, Motivating Programming, No wait times

Cons: None

Sim's used to be a club of high standards for health, caring about its members, and cleanliness. The owner decided to replace all staff which made the club what it was--a facility where a member felt safe in the care of the trainers, where staff came to know you as "family", hence caring about you and your health. Members had a sense of camaraderie--and that was truly wonderful. If you were out sick for a period of time, you were called to find out what was wrong--if it was illness, some of your time was reinstated--without cost. Speaking of which, when you became a member, you were given a FREE evaluation of BP, heart rate, body mass, etc--good for the member as well as the club!! Now, you pay for everything!! You can no longer E-mail them as the site is gone--gee, I wonder if they were tired of getting negative feedback or are they "cutting back" on expenses. Where ever I go and mention Sims, people roll their eyes--the public is in the know--too bad--someone shot himself in the foot!!! Also, no one knows how to operate the equipment so questions go unanswered--someone will eventually get hurt--again, that will be too bad. Machines break and no one know how to fix them, let alone get them fixed by outside repairmen in a fair amount of time. I have been a member there since 2000--I am now a member of the YMCA--very happy there and feel SAFE in their care. My advice, JOIN THE YMCA!!!

Pros: none!

Cons: poorly trained staff, dirty facility, expensive

★☆☆☆☆

This used to be a wonderful club, but with new management everything changed. The gym is overcrowded, they charge for all but one of the pool exercise classes, new staff is dumbfounded on questions from membership on, and the place is fairly dirty... What a waste of 800 bucks... should have opted for the Y

Pros: Only club within 50 miles of my home, besides the YMCA - Nice equipment, but always taken

Cons: Everything Else

★★☆☆☆

The equipment is good, group classes are good, but sometimes it is really too busy and the new management is not good. They let go all the good people and the new hires are barely trained and can't answer your questions. It is very disorganized and I get the sense no one really knows what is going on around there. If I had a choice I would probably go elsewhere, but it's close to where I live and I don't want to drive too far to work out. They need to hire a new cleaning company, because the place is not that clean. It's expensive too, so for what you pay to go here you would expect better staffing and a cleaner club. I give it a C + tops.

Pros: Equipment is new, classes are good, childcare is decent

Cons: Clueless staff, expensive, not that clean

they try to come across as a family oriented club but my baby got sick every time I brought her to the babysitting room and rather than being understanding about it they charged me $150 termination fee, which I think is really lousy since it was their fault I had to cancel

Pros: was easy to get to

Cons: if I can't use the baby sitting room, I can't work out. Period
