I've been happy with Frank's Custom Tailoring for all the time I've known of him. I worked across the street in a staffing agency but never visited until, on the urging of colleagues, I went (actually, it was for a job interview elsewhere).

I was thrilled with the quality of the service Frank and his son provided me - and the prices were very good, also. It's not cheap, but it's very, very, very reasonable.

I plan to return for 1-2 summery sport jackets and some more slacks for my hard-to-fit figure.

Great place for those looking to add any suits or sportcoats to their wardrobe. New to Boston area, I came here after reading some reviews about Franks last month, and I was very impressed when I came in last week. I was able to get a couple of new suits and a blazer and slacks for a great price. (Under $780) and that included all the alterations in the price. Great selection of suits and sportcoats. If you need any new clothing I recommend that check them out. They also do alterations on any other suits you may have as well.

I needed a couple of new suits for this fall, and came here after reading many wonderful reviews. Bill, who is Frank's son, put me into 2 terrific new all season wool suits and a blazer last month. They fit incredibly well and I have recieved many compliments when I wear them. I definetely recommend this place if you need a new suit or sportcoat. I also saw some great cashmere overcoats there as well that he was just getting in. I will be back for one of those soon. His prices are very reasonable and they include all the alterations at no charge. His suits start in the low $200's

I have been living in Boston for over 2 years. Being a college student, I start off wearing my misfitted "daddy's suit". When it was time to buy a suit of my own, I was looking for a tailor in the area. I stumbled upon all the great reviews of Frank's and decided to try it.

Great craftsmanship and even better selection of suits!! He tailored the Baroni suit I bought for a European fit, held it in his inventory for 5 months(I forgot), and gave me a friendly phone call to remind me to pick it up.

I was able to negotiate 2 times as I paid cash. His recommendation was also very personal to my body type and age and not salesman-like. I never knew I was a 38S!! Though the brand is not very common, it is "legit" Italian hand craftsmanship. I never felt such smooth wool material on a suit! The lapel also rolls over instead of having a hard-crease, a sign of fine suit-making.

When it comes to suits, a college kid like me was impressed by the old-school philosophy of Frank's. It is the right place to shop for decent suits and not be taken away by H&M and Calvin Klein's advertising campaigns.

Visited this place 2 weeks ago and got 3 new suits and a couple of new dress slacks. Great selection. After picking them up , I couldn't believe at how well they fit.
My coworker has been shopping here for over 6 years and swears by them. Now I know why. Beats the big departments stores. Customer service can't be beat nor their prices.

I needed a couple of new suits for work as I had put on a bunch of weight over the last year. I am glad I visited Franks store. he did an amazing job helping me pick out a couple of new suits. He even tailored them at no charge, which is stores policy on any item he sells. I bought an Italian suit an an american one for about $525 for the both.
He even was able to salvage a couple of my older suits as well and let them out to fot me again. No high pressure sales tactics, which is rare today. Great prices and service.

Brought in a suit I bought to Frank. Upon inspection he immediately noticed a rip in the suit and would not alter. I would have missed that if he diddnt point it out - thanks Frank! I broght in a different suit I bought to Bill as well as two sports coats. The alterations were done in a week, and were spot on! They are friendly, knowledgable, professional and offer alterations and mens suits at a great price. Excellent customer service. Bill even ran my order down for me so I diddnt have to hasssle with parking. THese guys are good - really good. I will be back and would recommend.

I have to rave about this small establishment. After reading past reviews, i came into this place last week needing to get a couple of new suits. I wear suits atleast 3 times a week for work, and my older ones were getting pretty old. I am glad to say that all the previous reviews were dead on. The selection of suits was better than I expected. Frank had over 40 different selections in my size range, and i was able to get two well made wool suits for less than $500., and that also included all the tailoring. I bought my last couple of suits about 18 months ago at another store, and then had to pay over $85 each for just the tailoring. I can't believe that there are stores like this still around. The customer service here is tremendous. After my suits were tailored, I changed my mind on putting cuffs as opposed to plain bottoms on the slacks, and Frank even retailored them for me at no charge. Can't beat that!!! I will be back in the future for sure. i am bringing in my brother for a suit next week as well.

I visited Frank's last month after reading about it on citysearch. i must agree with most reviewer. This place is a must for when you are in need of adding a suit or sportcoat to your wardrobe. I needed a couple of new suits for work, and I bought 2 beautiful suits for about $500 dollars and that included all the alterations. ( I spent $80 on my last suit just to have it altered at another tailor last year). I also purchased a winter cashmere and lambswool overcoat as well. I get great compliments all the time on the suits. I definitely recommend Frank's. I will be back for another suit or two this spring.

Great place for Men's dress clothing. After reading about the great reviews about Frank's, I decided to try him out when I needed a few additions to my wardrobe as my company changed to a more formal dress code for the fall. I purchased a couple of great sportcoats and slacks, as well as a new suit.
After wearing them for about a month now, I am glad to recommend this store. I have gotten more than a few compliments when I wear the new clothes. They fit terrificly
and the price was very reasonable. Less than $280 for my Italian made suit and silk and wool sportcoats for about $140
each and Frank's tailored them at no charge. I went to Mens Wearhouse and they wanted almost $100 to tailor just 1 suit.
I will be back here for another suit next month.

Great suits and sport coats at very reasonable prices. The alterations came out great, and were included in price. I was able to buy a terrific suit and silk sportcoat for about $400.
Frank's also retailored another suit of mine that never really fit well, and it now fits like a glove. I really cannot recommend this place enough. Quick turnaround as well.

Excellent men's shop. If you are looking for a new suit or sportcoat, i definitely recommend this place. After reading past reviews, I visited last week and must agree with most past customers. Great service and very reasonable prices.
i bought an Italian made wool suit, a blazer and 2 slacks for a terrific price of about $700. and all the tailoring was done for free. My last suit purchase at men's wearhouse was for $349
for a single suit, and then they charged another $90 to tailor it for me. I will be back to Frank's in the summer as I will be getting married in the fall, and Frank's will be doing the wedding parties attire. He carries a nice selection of suits.

Frank and Billy (his son) treated me really well, and recommended two Baroni suits that I probably would not have selected myself. But they look great, and were made all the better by careful custom tailoring. And the price is right! Two nice suits, plus a blue blazer and two rounds of involved tailoring (not just cuffs and sleeves, mind you) and I look -- and feel -- like a million dollars. The cost? A little over $800, tailoring included.

Go in with cash, check or a debit card and Billy can really sharpen his pencil. Why? Credit cards charge a percentage of the sale, with AmEx being the worst. Pay with cash, check or debit card and Frank's cost for the transaction goes down significantly, so they can do better prices. I am going back for sure, checkbook in hand, for another two suits in the fall!

Pros: Great quality at a reasonable (negotiable) price.

Cons: Their showroom is their workshop, so not much on ambiance, and their selection is seasonal.

After reading some of the reviews, I decided to visit this establishment. I can honestly say that the reviews were right on, as this is a charming store. The owner, Frank, was a old school tailor, I believe from Greece or Italy, and he carried a nice selection of men's suits and dress clothing. i puchased a new suit as well as a cashmere and lambswool overcoat plus a few pair of dress slacks. Prices are rather low compared to other mens stores. He even includes all the alterations at no charge. I used to shop at Mens wearhouse, but they would charge close to $90 per suit for alterations.
I picked up an beautiful Italian made suit, of super 150's fine wool fabric for around $300, and a few nice flannel wool dress slacks for about $75 each. I have seen these slacks retailing for about $120 at different competitors. I highly recommend it.

Awesome place. I visited last week after reading a few of the great reviews this place had recieved. I was not disappointed.
I needed a few new suits as my new position at my firm requires me to be in a suit a few days a week, so I came buy hoping to get a couple of well made and good fitting suits.
I am glad to report that the 3 suits I purchased last week all fit exceptionally well. I wore one yesterday and got about 4 or 5 nice comments from my co workers. Prices are terrific for the quality. Less than $770 for 3 suits, and that also included the tailoring. Folks, I have shopped at department stores for the last time when it comes to suits. Frank's will no be getting my future business.

I was recommended to this store last week by a co worker. I needed a couple of new suits and my co worker brought me here. I usually paid over $350 for Italian suits at Filenes basement in the past and then another $70 to $85 for the alterations, but I am gald to say that I bought 2 beautiful wool Italian made suits fpr less than $280 each at Franks, and the alterations were included and done on the premises. I will be back this fall for another couple of suits for the winter. By the way, I am a difficult fit as I used to play football in college, and Frank altered the suits beautifully.

After reading many good reviews about this store, i finally made my way there last week. I have to agree with most of the reviewers, and give high marks to Frank and his staff.
I am a hard to fit person as I used to do a lot of weight lifting
a few years ago. Frank did a great job on altering a new suit I purchased from him. He had to totally recut the slax down about 5 inches ( from size 41 to 36) and it came out great.
His prices are amazing. Less than $300 for an italian made super 120 tropical wool suit, and all the alterations included.
I am used to spending over $80 just to alter my suits in the
past. I will be coming back in September for a new fall suit or two as well.

I am proud to recommend Frank's. I stumbled upon this place last week when I decided it was time to get a few new suits.
I just picked them up, and they all fit great. I was able to purchase 3 of Frank's better suits (Italian super 120's) for less than $275 each on sale, and he included the alterations at no charge. I was about to biy a couple of suits at Mens wearhouse for about $335 each, but when they told me it was another $90 each for alterations, I had reservations, and decided to pass. The next day I found myself here at Franks and am glad I did, as I purchased 3 for what it would have cost for 2 suits at the competitor. The place is a hidden gem. Definitely check it out!!

Great tailoring service provided by Franks. He was able to salvage all of my suits this past fall. I had some health issues and dropped about 35 lbs. I thought I may need to replace most of my wardrobe, but Frank salvage all my suits as well as a few sportcoats and slacks. When they were finished , they look like they were made for me, as I went from a size 46 to a size 42. He saved me a lot of money as I thought I was going to need to replace about 7 or 8 suits. He was also very honest with me and told me not to try to alter 2 of the suits because they were starting to get wear out and that it would be a waste of money. After I picked up the last of my suits,
I even purchased a new one from Frank's collection, and its a great suit that I got at a little over $200. I definately will be going back in the spring for another.

I am extremely glad I visited this shop. After reading a few reviews, I decided to visit it as I needed a couple of new suits for work. I purchased 2 new suits, and a couple of pairs of slacks as well. Prices were better than other stores I visited (Macys, Men's Wearhouse, J.A.Banks) , and the alterations were included as well at no charge. Total bill was less than $700. I highly recommend Frank's.

I feel bad I have to write a warning review as everyone had great service here. Today's designer jeans (mine were 7 For All Man Kind) have special "vintage, destroyed, stylized" bottom hems that many other tailors will accomandate to put back after shortening the jeans, however this shop doesn't do this type of hemming so it was a wasted trip for me.

Very nice service and large selection of suits and sportcoats. I was referred here by a fellow office member who has been buying clothes here for over 6 years. Since I am new to the area, I was going to go to Filene's Basement, but he told me to check out Frank's. After visisting both places it was Frank's who sold me my suits, and as a bonus they even altered them at no charge. In R.I., where I am originally from , I paid over $60 for each suit to be altered so thats a nice extra that they perform at Franks. All said and done I bought 3 suits for about $700. and that includes the alterations. The basement was charging about $300 eachfor the suits I was looking at.
I highly recommend it.

I happened upon this shop last week. I am new in area and was looking to add a couple of suits to my wardrobe for new salesjob that I have just begun. I was in downtown crossing area, and after visiting Filene's basement, Men's wearhouse, and Macy's, I walked into this shop. I was impressed from the outset. Old style feel with tailors working right there on the premises within full view of customers, and greek music playing in the background. Frank told me he is from Greece , and learned the trade in the "Old Country" and is a master craftsman. He has been in business for 32 years. I was thoroughly impressed and bought a couple of suits from him. Less than $500 for 2 suits, and one of them was an Italian made super 120's. I have a few of those from when I worked in NYC, and I paid almost that much for just 1 suit. He even included the alterations at no charge. Hardly anyone does that any more. Last suit I bought last year cost me $70 to alter. I definitely recommend it.

Nice place to go to if you are in need of men's suits or dress clothing. I visited the shop after my fiancee read good reviews about it on line. I do not wear suits as I work in construction, but I needed a new suit as we have a couple of weddings to attend this summer. I was very pleased at the selection and prices. I checked a few other stores as well, but Frank's was the best in terms of pricing and quality of suits. I saw other suits for about the same price at Men;s wearhouse during their sales, but not the same quality. Also as a bonus, Frank tailored the suit for me at no charge. Men's wearhouse wanted over $75 to alter it. I bought an Italian made suit for less than $300 and that included a couple of ties. I actually sent my father in law to be there as well, and he was just as pleased. Frank is also going to supply our wedding party with Tuxedos for our wedding in April next spring. Great prcing on Tuxedos. I highly recommend it.

I needed a few new suits as I started a new job that requires me to be in business atttire. I was referred to this store by a few of my new co-workers. A nice establishment. I was surprised that store that have this kind of customer service still exist. I am a big man Jacket size 50 to 52L, and had hard time finding suits in the past, but Frank's was able to show me quite a selection., and even ordered me another that he didn't stock in larger sizes. Very quick turn around time. I bought 3 suits, and will be going back in the fall for another. Great prices. I paid less than $250. per suit and included the alterations.

Happened upon this shop last week, as I needed some new slacks hemmed. Frank took care pf them right away for me as I asked him if I could have them that day.
His shop also carrys a nice selection of men's dress clothing. I wound up buying a new suit as well. I purchased an Italian suit for about 250 dollars, and he also altered it at no charge. I have usually purchased suits at the Basement and Miltons in the past,
but I like this place better. Great selection and service.

Great tailoring services. I was referrd here by Filene's sales rep. when I bought a new suit. I am a hard to fit person, so the sales person told me to try Frank's for the alterations. I am very pleased with the work that was done. I also wound up buying another suit at Franks. After wearing the new suits a few times, I wish I bought the first suit at Frank's as well. I paid less money for the Franks suit and I have gotten more compliments on it as well. I know were I will be buying my next suit at Frank's.

I was pleasanly surprised when I stumbled upon this store this week. Nice selection of suits and sportcoats. It is a small shop located on 2nd floor in downtown crossing above Bank of America at corner of Winter and Tremont Streets across from the Park St. Station MBTA stop. A family owned business. Frank told me he's been here over 30 years and he has a surprisingly good selection of suits and sportscoats, and at a great price. He even includes the alterations, which is a nice money saver, as I usuallyspend quite a bit on alterations as I am a hard to fit person. I paid less than $250 per suit.
Filene's and Bloomingdales just lost a customer, as I will be doing my shopping here for now on. By the way, the alterations came out great, as they are my 2 best fitting suits.

Great little men's store that I was referred to for getting alterations done for 2 suits that I bought at a competitor. Was amazed at the selection of suits that Frank's carried in his store. A nice selection of great men's suits (actually nicer that the ones that I had just gotten at Filene's) and for a lot less money and the alterations were free. Great value im my opinion. I walked out of there with 3 of his suits and returned the ones I had from Filenes. My net cost was about $685 which is close to what I paid for just 2 suits at Filenes. I highly recommend them. Ihave come to learn they have been there for over 3 years. I am definitely going back in the spring for a few more.

Very nice store in Downtown crossing, by Park Street Station.
Nice selection of Men's suits and sportcoats. Very low prices when
compared with the name stores of Bolyston street and high end
Department stores. It is located on second floor, so visibilty is now high
but it is a greta place to get suits. Italian made suits from around $275.
and they alter the suits right there as well as they have a great alteration
department right on the premises. I bought 2 suits and am very pleased with
them. I used to buy siuts at Bloomindales and Saks, but not anymore.
I highly recommend them. In operation for over 30 years, as it is now
second generation business.
