The Scene
Stepping into Beaucage is like happening upon a photo shoot. Women who look like supermodels simultaneously answer phones and take your name while urban beats pulse in the background. White transparent curtains sweep across giant front windows down to a shiny wood floor. Clients in black smocks recline on modern furniture, their hair in foils and paper while reading ritzy fashion magazines. Black-clad stylists fuss over women toting expensive Gucci bags, tattooed 20-somethings and foreign college-age girls.

The Services
A haircut here is a must, thanks to master stylists who take time for personal instruction in the art of blow-drying and styling (and who are very receptive to your personal preferences). The all-organic Eminence facial is a sensual delight and includes an extensive facial massage, administered in a calming white room with a classical music backdrop. Brazilian wax is a popular treatment as well.

The Inside Scoop

  1. Know Before You Go - Interested in a Brazilian wax? Be patient: The salon's hair removal specialist suggests a bikini wax first, then the Brazilian two weeks later.

Best hairstylists!!!

by Michele B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,056

My sister in law is always bragging about her hair stylist at Beaucage so when I recently returned home I went with her to get our hair cut and I can now see why she loves this place so much.
I saw many other getting their hair done there also and did not see one unhappy client.
All the hairdressers seem like perfectionists and they really take the time to listen to what the customer wants!

Great haircut

by Jen G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,705

I sometimes go a very long time between haircuts - and whenever I go back to this shop, I get the best cut that lastsme as long as I need it to.

My manicure lasted over a week - and that says a lot when you have a 20 month old son you run after. I recommend skipping Saturday if you can, though. It's very hectic there and the weeknights are so relaxing.

Troy is the best!

by Julia1982

I go to Beaucage for my hair cut.. I wear my hair short, and Troy does wonders to it. I highly recommend him. Very personable and entertaining, with a great sense of humor, while maintaining professionalism. He is by far the best hairdresser I have had for my short curly style hair.
You should give Troy a try.

Best eyebrow waxer in Boston

by MsCheeks84

I was in dire need of finding a new place to get my eyebrows waxed. The place that I had been going to too since I was 17 messed up my eyebrows one too many times, however the last time I went I broke out with a rash that cause some hyper pigmentation and I was not too pleased. That was it, I couldn't take it anymore and started out on a quest to find a new place to go to. I did a little research and Beaucage kept coming up, I visited their website and looked at the staff and read their bios and I came across Katherine. I was eager to see what she could do to help out my poor eyebrows! Katherine is an artist when it comes to waxing! My eyebrows never looked better! Katherine is a genius I love her she has such a great personality and she is sooooo funny! She never disappoints. The staff there is so friendly and every time I go they greet me by my name and everything. LOVE BEAUCAGE!!!!!

Pros: Katherine, Staff
Cons: There are none this is the best full service salon & spa on Newbury St.

Great find!

by steena90

Needing a cut to fix the disaster the last stylist made of my hair, I took a leap of faith and booked with Beaucage. I'd been exploring straightening techniques to try on my bird's nest and found that this salon did both Yuko and keratin treatments and had good reviews, so I thought "why not?" I called, made the appointment for that evening, and read more reviews. I started getting nervous at all the remarks about how stuck up the staff was (being that I am a recent grad on a tight budget) and began to regret booking the appointment (you do get charged for cancellations). I hate going into those places (think A&F) since I usually get snubbed by the snobby kids who work there, and I worried about that hour I'd have to spend feeling like I wasn't good enough to be a client. I have to say at that point I had serious doubts.

When I arrived, I was surprised by how nice all the staff was. One immediately ran to make my tea, and before she even had time to bring my drink, Crystal came out to meet me (note: the salon was busy). She was awesome! She agreed that the last cut was horrible, came up with a plan to fix it, had the same vision for my cut, and answered all my questions about straightening (one of her coworkers even took time to talk to me about Yuko). And she was from the South too, so we had a lot to talk about (I usually dread that awkward small talk stuff). At the end, she dried my hair, and I was blown away at how great a job she did. I've NEVER had a stylist that could use a blowdryer on my hair and get better results than I do with a CHI. I'll admit, I looked so good after! I asked her if she wouldn't mind living in my bathroom and doing my hair everyday, but I don't think it's gonna work out. I guess I'll just settle for just going back every few months.

I do have to qualify my praise by saying, I did not park, I don't color, and I haven't tried their other services, but what I had done met my high expectations. I will be back!

BEAUCAGE SALON Personalized Service

by katw234

Beaucage pampers its customers to the fullest extent. Greeting them ,smiling, remembering names, offering drinks, snacks or magazines to make your stay comfortable.
I followed Troy there from another Newbury Steet salon and have never regretted it. Pampering is from head to toe. Emma and Monica are skin experts. Spending time with them is relaxing and informative. They offer a few lines of products and are very knowledgeable about them all and the differences between them.
No one does nails better than Lee. She loves to be busy and always is.The newest colors are always found here, and sometimes she likes to make her own special signature shade. One word of advice, book ahead.
Tag and Francis pamper your weary muscles. They are a newly found godsend. Many types of massages are offered. After, you are pampered in a big comfy robe with herbal tea, strawberries and cookies.
The stylists are all outstanding. Each brings a different flair to your hairdo. It's fun to see the differences in what they create.
The girls at the desk are absolute angels, schedualing and assisting with any needs in a smilingly
gracious way. They are also very knowledgeable about the products and are happy to find the for you.
For such a busy salon, the service is always personalized, and Dean is not only present, but hands on. He loves feedback.
Everyone goes out of there way here to make each customer feel special.

Pros: Relaxing and Friendly. Parking garage directly across street.

Cons: You won't want to leave.

Get everything waxed with Monica

by canarycream

I have been going to Monica for a few years now for eyebrows, legs, lip and bikini waxes. She is absolutely brilliant both as an aesthetician and as a person. She is very skilled both with keeping the experience fairly painless as well as making my brows look their best. She is very friendly--both a good storyteller and good listener. I would 100% recommend Monica - she will make sure you look good, feel comfortable, and enjoy yourself.

Best Brazilian in Boston!

by rchiu419

I went to Beaucage the first time just last month for a Brazilian with Katherine, and I received the most thorough, gentle, and comfortable Brazilian ever! Compared to past waxes with cloth strips, leftover hair and burning after effects, my experience with Katherine was very soothing and simple. She made me feel very comfortable, and made sure that I was happy with the results before I got dressed. Definitely a great experience and I am going back to Katherine for all my future waxes!

Best Anti-Aging Facial in Boston

by yorkm13

Katherine at Beaucage is amazing. All of my friends get Brazilian waxing done with her. So when I was looking for a salon to go to for waxing, Katherine was well recommended. She is fast, thorough and virtually pain free. During one wax appointment, we started talking about skin care and facials. I had no idea she even did facials! So I booked an anti- aging facial with her for the following week. Unbelievable results! My skin felt soft and had that healthy glow. I am still young and the products she used were perfect for my skin. Katherine spent some time explaining how important starting early is with facials to prevent signs of aging. She knows a lot about health and nutrition too. I left feeling great and a lot more educated too! Best facial in Boston for sure!!! Go see Katherine.

I got my first brazilian wax recently. I read a lot of reviews and everyone had amazing things to say about Katherine so I booked an appointment with her. It barely hurt and I felt so comfortable! Katherine is really friendly and makes you forget what is even going on. I will definitely go back to her again.

Dean

by nj15

In response to 10/20/05- I have known Dean since I was 4 years old and in no way would he ever treat anyone the way you describe. I have been to this salon for years and would fly in to get my hair cut from Dean rather than than any number of the top salons that I have been to in NYC. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion and experience having Dean cut & color my hair has always been wonderful and staff are plesant. Dean does what more salon owners should do-and that is actually RUN their salon personally.

Tag and Co., works for me

by bosull

I loved my experience at Beaucage. I walked in and got an appointment with Tag, which was an absolutely amazing massage....and during the short time I was waiting, I inquired about getting a brow wax, which they were able to do right away, and unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she did a wonderful job as well. The changing area/bathroom wasn't the greatest, but it didn't matter, because the service was outstanding! Even the girl at the front desk was very pleasant and accomodating.

Awesome brazilian

by aciredisco

I just moved to Boston and have been looking for a place for a great brazilian. I tried one other place before Beaucage and my search is over. Katherine is fantastic, provides an almost painless brazilian and is a pleasure to talk to. She makes the whole experience very comfortable and quick. I'm now a regular here.

Pros: Nice people

Cons: A bit small for a spa

Colour me happy Antoinette

by vanila

Antoinette is Beaucage's colour-fairy. As much as I am fussy, she is awesome. I've been to her three times and though I've seen her pamper her other clients as much as she does me, she completely outdid herself last time. I had my hair bleached blonde for the first time and had no idea how long it really took- when I told I was starving she said she'd let me know if she heard someone was placing an order out and then, minutes later, she pops up and apolegetically offers her (yummy) left-over chicken salad and fully wrapped pita! And if you think that's thoughtful, she wouldn't let me see myself in the mirror in between bleaching processes because she didn't want me to see the orange stage in between bleaching stages and freak out. Her attention to detail is professional and intuitive, she great at delivering exactly what I want and suiting it to my face, and knowing she'll keep me updated while she does her thing leaves me free to zone out and catch up on a mag or two, or five..

Pros: Magazines, yummy cookies, fun staff and clients, spacious bathrooms

Cons: Parking

thank you Beaucage

by bhiu

I recievd the WORST color and cut at a so called "high end" salon on Newbury Street. A friend told me to see Dean at Beaucage. Although I could not see Dean because he was already fully booked I could not have been happier with my service. My stylist called Dean over to speak with us during the consultaion and he could not have been kinder or more helpful. He knew exactly what to do to fix my hair.... The staff was so friendly and so helpful, I must have been offered coffee from 5 different people! Thank you Beaucage for a great experience and beautiful hair!

I always come back to Beaucage

by 2255

I have been going to Beaucage for 7 years (on and off) no matter what other salons and spas I go to, I ALWAYS come back, and this time for good!
I am always treated so warmly and friendly from the front desk staff, the assistants and by the entire staff.
They ALWAYS remember me, and seem really happy to see me.
I always recieve great services, and if there is a slight issue to be resolved, they always, without hesitation take care of me.
In short, I won't be trying any "new" places on Newbury Street, why would I? I already have the Best!

Pros: hands down, the staff !!

Cons: parking

What's With the Attitudes?

by florenic

I have had my hair done at Baeucage three times. Although I am happy with my cuts, I am extremely unhappy with the girls at the reception desk. Each time I have gone to pay, 5-7 girls are hanging out behing the register and giving nasty looks to the customers. They gossip about the clients and then whisper when you go to pay. I have never felt so uncomfortable at any salon. They just stare at me like I'm an alien and think they are better than everyone else. I don't understand what's up with the attitudes. I have read other reviews on here and this seems like an ongoing issue. I hightly advise the owner to handle this matter because I will never return to this salon until changes are made. If you can handle being treated like dirt then maybe you would like the salon. However, if you are a nice person and don't appreciate attitudes from young girls who think they are better than you, then you should not go to Beaucage.

Pros: Hair Cuts

Cons: Attitudes from Staff

LOVE THIS SALON!!!!! THE FACIALS ARE REJUVENATING!!!!

by christinefazz

EXCELLENT ONE-STOP FOR ALL YOUR BEAUTY TREATMENTS!
I love this salon! I have lived in the city for over 15 years and have been to just about every salon in town. But when I found Beaucage, I found a keeper. I have been going there for almost 5 years and have everything done from brazilians, brows, all types of facials, manis-pedis , and hair cut and color. Every staff member is courteous and helpful. Growing up in the 60's we did not pay much attention to sun block. Now my skin is paying for it with sun damage and premature wrinkles. But, since I have been seeing Monica for facials the past year on a monthly basis, my skin looks a million times better. It is rejuvenated. Monica not only gives a great facial, but she teaches you about all the products she is applying. She asks specific questions that only you can answer about your skin. Because she is so knowledgable and open, you can trust her with your skin. I would not let anyone else give me a facial . If she's booked, I will wait. If she leaves, I will follow! I highly recommend that all you woman treat yourself to a day at Beaucage, find out for yourself what you are missing.

Pros: great fun friendly professional staff- never a "bad" appt.

Cons: none

Best Place for a Facial

by bethla

My favorite facial in Boston is with Monica at Beaucage. I?ve been a client of Monica?s since 2003, and switched salons without hesitation when she moved to Beaucage.

I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin that could flare up with the smallest trigger, but have never been disappointed by her facials, which are a regular part of my skin care routine. I also travel extensively, which means that my skin can change somewhat from appointment to appointment. Monica always evaluates and varies her facials accordingly, and my skin is consistently brighter and softer because of these treatments. She also has great advice on daily skin care to help between appointments, and has recommended the best moisturizing and treatment products I have ever used (and use loyally).

I count on Monica's facials to restore and maintain my skin. Even at internationally-recognized, medical-level spas, I would pass (and have passed) on facials for other services, rather than forgo/replace a regular appointment with Monica. I would recommend her to anyone, but especially those who take skin care seriously, and consider facials part of an ongoing regime.

Pros: Expertise, Results, Great Service

Cons: Parking

Best Facial In Boston

by staceycohentisch

I have been going to Monica at Beaucage for about 4 years. I have followed her from her previous salon to Beaucage because she is amazing. I would follow her wherever she goes. I have very sensitive, fair skin and she knows exactly what it needs and how to treat it. I receive really great comments on my face and my complexion for weeks after get a facial from Monica. I trust Monica completely. She gave me a series of facials and treatments before my wedding and I could not be happier when I look at my complexion in my wedding pictures.

Not only is she an expert esthetician, but she is so accomodating. The salon has a policy that you must cancel an appointment at least 24 hours before the appointment or you will be charged. This recently happened to me where something came up at work and I had to cancel. Instead of charging me the fee for the facial and waxing, Monica stayed late on Friday night to squeeze me in.

Monica is the only person I trust to give me a facial as I have such sensitive skin. My husband and I go on vacations to resorts where there are spas and I refuse to have anyone else touch my face. I highly recommend Monica as an esthetician!!!!

Pros: facials, spa

Cons: none

Best skincare and hair coloring salon in New England

by tonjeff

This was my first experience at Beaucage. I made an appointment for a facial and to have my hair color corrected. I was nervous. Dean, I believe he is the owner, could not have been more of an expert in doing my color correction then anyone in the past and in making me fell at ease. It came out better then expected. I then went upstairs for a facial with Monica. I enjoyed the facial and her explantion of the products used and the treatment I received. If in Boston and have the time go here, it was a great experience. Highly reccommend it.

Pros: Great staff.

Cons: Nwebury Street Parking

I wouldn't go back if you paid me.

by cormattufts

I've been to several salons in the area and Beaucage was by FAR the worst. The staff is pretentious and really unfriendly. It is overpriced and, for such a small space, always too crowded (I gave it 3 tries because I'd heard good things). Other than the horrendous customer service, the worst part though is that I got my hair chemically straightened there (which I'd been doing in New York for years) and their "expert" left the chemical on too long, resulting in a TON of breakage, and a 90 degree angle bend of the new hair that grew in off my head. I looked ridiculous for about 6 months. When I called to try to get something done to fix the ratty mess they created on my head, I was brushed off several times by the receptionist and when I finally spoke to my stylist she wasn't apologetic, nor did anyone offer to do anything to try to fix it. No one even apologized for the awful experience.
They certainly would never get my business again. There are many better places in town.

Pros: None to speak of.

Cons: Awful straightening, Rude staff

Posted 02/01/07

Customer Service

by agreement

My experience was awful. All of the receptionists are rude and lack customer service skills. It is not upscale but their attitudes seem better than. I received a facial and Tend Skin was applied after warning that I had sensitive skin. Who doesn't know that it is harsh one, and two it is used primarily for ingrown hairs? My face looked horrible and the manager was rude and willing to accomodate me.

The facials overall are not bad but if you are particular about service be aware! Spend your money where it is appreciated and you are treated as a client and not just any customer stopping through. I think we all would like to establish a long term relationship with a salon when receiving these type of services. I will gladly spend my money at Grettacole or Violet.....

Pros: facials, manicures, ambiance in the rooms

Cons: rude, unprofessional staff

Antoinette is the best hair stylist in Boston, by far! I have been going to her for over a year and a half and I have received so many compliments on my cut and color ever since. I get a great cut and color from Antoinette! Sometimes, she does blowdry it out a little big, but the cut is seriously amazing. And I get so many compliments on the color too - it's ridiculous. And I end up paying 100 bucks for cut and color. Not bad as far as I'm concerned.

AWFUL!! Very Bad Experience! Beaucage is nowhere near CHIC!

by cb48

This salon does not deserve to be on Newbury St. and surely does not deserve any of the best of Boston awards its won. The level of professionalism at this salon/spa is pathetic. I recently moved from NYC, where I went to one of the best salons and it was nowhere near as snooty (and had much more of a right to be snooty than anyone who works at Beaucage). I can't believe how much of an attitude each and every person had (besides the lovely overworked girl Ashley who washed my hair and did a fabulous job!) On to more important things like my hair! My color and highlights were done adequately, except for the fact that I had to pay for a toner! which is unheard of! Someone actually scoffed at me after hearing my questions about the price break down! I have been coloring and highlighting my hair for at least 6 years, have had toner put on my hair hundreds of times but I've never paid extra for it (even the other times I've been to Beaucage)! Also, I don't understand why my color and highlights can't be done at the same time. It would save me and the stylist time and they could have more people in and out of their chair in a day, which essentially means they would make more money. I think they have some major scheduling issues! Furthermore, the stylist had no clue how to blowdry hair! If you are paying for a blowdry, you should be able to walk out the door and feel comfortable to go out in public or even to an event, not run home to then do it over yourself! Also, I was there last year when they were beginning the renovations and it looked like they were going to improve the place. Well, they definitely failed there. It looks worse! Definitely a waste of money. Overall my final experience at Beaucage was extremely dissapointing and excruciating.

Cons: everything

New in town, Excellent Experience ALL AROUND!

by leahmarshall

Just moved from DC where I was a regular client of my hair dresser for 5 years, my aesthetician and manicurist for three. I was afraid it would take forever to find one of each who I felt comforatble with, but I was only here for about 3 weeks before I found two of them - IN ONE SALON!! Mari gives a great haircut and Katherine is a perfectionist with her Brazilians. I haven't had a mani/pedi there yet, but I am sure I wouldn't be disappointed. Beaucage has found a loyal client.

Cons: Small Spa

Great staff, location, service - Great Spa

by yaneeke

I have recently relocated from NYC - where I would go to the Aveda Spa on a bi-weekly basis for waxing & facials and Red Door for manicure/pedicure and blow out on a weekly basis. I am happy with my finding. Troy is wonderful - he makes sure that my curly hair is pin straight. Katherine is the best for waxing and facials - she always takes her time. Li ha - manicurist - she always checks to see how my nails are holding up and pushes me to care for them more than I ever have before. All the staff is wonderful, I have sometimes have to cancel last minute due to my schedule and they never give me a hard time about it - they are always delighted to reschedule for me. The ambience is great. I highly recommend this spa, because they do care about their clientele.

Pros: Ambience, Staff, Treatments

Beautiful foil - excellent experience

by mro2006

I tried Beaucage because I had a gift certificate. I've been using the same colorist for years and was a bit nervous trying someone new, especially when I learned I had been booked with a junior stylist. I had nothing to worry about. Janelle was extremely knowledgeable when we discussed what kind of results I was looking for and made me completely at ease. I was not disappointed - the end result was beautiful and my color looks fresh, updated and better than it has in years. I did not need a trim but she did blowdry and style my hair, which also looked fantastic. Beaucage has a new customer in me, I could not be happier with my hair and I've gotten many compliments on my color since my visit. I also found the other staff to be friendly and helpful.

Cons: Parking can be tough

Excellent foil and cut by Vivienne

by jlilc

After some bad experiences at other salons, I was hesitant to have anyone touch my hair. I called Beaucage and the wonderful staff set me up for a same day consultation with Vivienne. She put me completely at ease and enumerated the entire list of things i was looking for without me even telling her! She presented several color swatches to accent my natural color and helped me pick those that would be subtle and grow out gently, and described exactly the cut I wanted. A week later I returned for my cut and foil, and I am extremely pleased. The colors flatter my skin tone perfectly (Vivienne even mixed two colors together to create one of my shades) and gave my hair back the volume that had been missing for the past year. At $215 for a cut and foil, it wasn't cheap, but well worth it!

Pros: Cut/color, Atmosphere, Personal attention

Cons: Price, No parking

Best brazillian bikini wax - Katherine!

by liasnow

Katherine does the best brazillian bikini wax I've had. She is very friendly, highly professional, and has a quick technique without sacrificing attention to detail. They use a hard wax with no strips that I find much less painful than the cheaper strip waxing technique so many places use. Be sure to request her; I once went with someone else at Beaucage because she wasn't available last minute (I'd forgotten to schedule an appointment before my vacation!) and sorely regretted it...the other esthetician took twice as long and removed far more hair than I'd requested. I've had many problems with hair removal over the years and Katherine is the best I've found yet!

Pros: skill, attitude, availability

Best salon on Newbury -- Kerith is a gem!

by jessicawirth

I have been going to Kerith at Beaucage for over 2 years now, and will never go anywhere else -- she has a fantastic eye for color and cut, and I always leave looking and feeling like a million bucks -- and without having to spend an arm & leg for her expert skills.

Pros: Kerith, Open late, Value

Piggyback Highlights!

by longforbeantown

Beaucage is amazing!! I went on a whim because I was sick of my hairdresser. I was greeted warmly by the busy receptionist and luckily was able to get an appointment that evening. The salon is open until 9pm!! My stylist was Kerith and she was terrific! She immediately gave me ideas on ways I could change my look and completely changed the look/feel of my hair. She used a technique she called piggyback highlighting where the highlights are mixed with lowlights in a way to accentuate the differences. Plus she used a gloss at the end that left my hair shiny like NEVER before. My cut was not drastically different in length but the shape changed a lot...she also gave me tips for blowdrying. She was kind, funny and really listened to me. I would HIGHLY recommend Beaucage, and the best news is that the prices were very reasonable.

Pros: Kerith, reasonable price, late hours

Cons: tough parking

Best Cut & Color

by stacie123

I love everything about this salon. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Antoinette cuts and colors my hair. I will not let any one else touch my hair. She knows the latest cuts and colors. I have total trust in her! I would recommended you try a color and cut. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: great cut & color

Beaucage is the worst salon ive ever been to!

by stila2k

They did my color wrong...i went from a brown to a black, and they left spots all over my head. Not only that, after washing the dye off my head, and paying $200 the guy told me he was in a hurry and that he wouldnt be able to blow dry my hair...i left without money, my hair drenched, and once it dried, i realized there were blotches of dye all over my head. Worst experience of my life. Expensive and the staff is not that friendly.

the worst hair salon I have ever been

by audrey126

Afer spending 5 hours and over 200 dollars for a hair color/highlights, the result was awful! I thought I was clear with what I wanted, but obvioulsy it did not come across. I understand that sometime there are miscomunications. I think one can easily get over a bad hair color experience, but one cannot recover from bad customer service. Even if the service is not what one wishes or pays for, one should expect at least decent customer service. Furthermore, my disgust lies in the depth of arrogance the magerial personel behaved with myself. When I complained, I was made to feel that I was doing the greatest injustice. The owner gloated about his "reputation" which amounts to nothing when dissolved in his blind arrogance. My disgust is obviously apparent and hope that some people do read this. I, therefore, agree with some of the comments made on this website.

Cons: bad customer service, crowded

aviod this "spa"

by rsbr

They claim they are a spa. One bathroom that doubles as a spower/dressing room then waking thru a salon with men and women (in your robe) breaks any relaxation you may have. The body scrub and the massage were rushed and uncomfortable. The attendant had an attitude. Not to mention I waited over 45 minutes between services when I booked them back to back. GO to a real spa and avoid this place.

Pros: location

Cons: service provider, atmosphere, skill of person givin

Wonderful Salon

by mshanti

I have been going to Beaucage for two years. With their latest renovations, the hair salon is very spacious. I have always been immediately welcomed upon arrival and any wait, which is never more than 10 mins. on busy nights, is always explained. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I am very picky about my rather difficult short haircut, and I don't often find someone who can get it exactly the way I want it every time, but at Beaucage, Suzie, is the best. I have never been happier with a stylist. The salon NEVER pressures me to buy products or upgrade services. The stylist costs rise only slightly and still remain extremely reasonable for the area. I have already recommended one friend who has also been going there for almost 2 years now.

Pros: Reasonably priced, Talented stylists, Convenient location

Best of Boston

by bostongal23

I have been to numerous salons on Newbury and Beaucage tops it off! I get my hair blown out every week, I was jumping from place to place. Beaucage tops it off!!! I have seen a few of their stylists and they are all good. I now get a beautiful foil by Suzie also.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like a princess for a day!!
I will warn you that Saturdays get a lit.tle crazy and try to book during the week.
Enjoy

Pros: reasonable price, fun salon

Cons: hard to find parking

Great everything!

by murieljean

This salon was as advertised. My husband purchased a gift certificate for me for a spa treatment and hair cut. Everything and I mean everything was wonderful! Just the friendliest salon I have ever been in. Can't wait to go back.

Run, don't walk, away from Beaucage!

by seattle_wagamama

I waited an hour for my appointment with the Owner/Director. No one checked in with me about being late, and when I asked about it I got attitude from the staff.

When I brought up the "cancel" word, they pressured me to wait, promising I would make my other commitments. I was scheduled for my cut at 5:30, thinking I would have plenty of time to make a 7:30 meeting. But I never got to the meeting, and didn't leave the salon until 7:25!

What happened? By the time the owner came by, he rushed through a minimal, 10-minute trim for $125. The wait and rude service was excruciating for such a little amount of attention.

I've talked to other Beaucage clients, and Beaucage is a notorious over-booker. They aren't even that skilled, considering the beotch-y attitude, ridiculous prices and inflated reputation. Run, don't walk, from these LA wanna-be's.

PS ? to the owner or whoever replied below, YES, you did see me an hour and a half late. The experience was so underwhelming that there is no way I could have forgotten . . . even three years later! If you want to prove how professional you are, contact me and offer to win my business back!

Pros: Nice shampoo gal

Cons: awful wait time, Beotchy staff, Tiny salon
